[color=#006600][/color]The Federal Government on Tuesday in Abuja approved cut-off marks for admission into tertiary institutions for the 2013/2014 academic session.

The Minister of Education, Ruqayyatu Rufa’i, announced that a minimum of 150 cut-off marks for Colleges of Education, Polytechnics and other non-degree-awarding institutions, while universities (State, Private and Federal), will accept a minimum of 180 cut-off benchmark.

Syenite: If you know you have what it takes academically you can go for Geology if you can. Geology as a career is more rewarding than Geography. But have it at the back of your mind that a 1st class or 2:1 graduate of geography, zoology, botany etc is ranked higher in the employment market than a 2:2 graduate of Petroleum, mechanical, electrical or geology etc graduate.

2Legit2Qui: Geology is a professional course. with Geography you still need to do a diploma or masters in Remote Sensing or GIS course to professionalise. So, the choice is yours.
