An AI chatbot that learns from anonymous summaries of everyone's past conversations that uses it, so everyone can benefit from what others have figured out before them. Think of it like general shared memory but for all. Try it: https://hivemindai.netlify.app/Let me know what breaks or what you think.

No need to afford AI. People need to install Local On device LLMs that can run without internet connection like Ollama. Deepseek variation is also available. You just need a good computer to be able to handle the inferences. But yes, go and learn the basics of programming , it'll help alot in your journey Cybaghost: Go and learn programming from scratch. You soon won’t even be able to afford the ai. Before a $20 OpenAI subscription was enough for me to build 3 apps with codex but now I pay over $100 monthly for same amount of work. In the next 6months AI won’t be ready cheap and available as it used to be because the companies giving you the AI are running at a loss each time you use their service. This is why Claude code had introduced a lot of restrictions and rate limits.
Also without programming knowledge you won’t even be able to effectively build and manage a good product. AI is good for starting new projects not managing a project( you need programming knowledge to effectively use ai on an existing project else you break the project) with existing data and thousands of users. |

I wouldn't say it's time wasting. It's actually kinda refreshing especially now when the world is leaning towards AI. I do write code manually once in a while to still keep in touch with the basics. DrabeeyIsBack: AI can do virtually everything a developer can Do. Just know how to question it's intelligence and don't be dumb too.
So if you ask me, writing codes in this age is just time wasting. Get a good AI to help you with that, provide it good ideas and fuse your ideas in a workflow. Lobatan.

Learn the basics and fundamentals of programming then try to build one project on your own without tutorials. The best way to master programming is by building or at least attempting to build projects and applications then when you get stuck, you debug or search for solutions. That's how most people do it. OAkanni001: Please, I'm not a dev but my dream is to become a solo developer who build SaaS products. Do you think with the recent advancement in AI, I don't need a programming background? And for the agent to work on your phone, you just grant it Accessibility access in your settings. No root access or anything. You guys should check out Autodroid research paper online. https://arxiv.org/abs/2308.15272It's a very similar concept. |

I know android won't allow it. But a user can grant it with easily in settings. Why do you think I picked android over iOS? They don't need to grant it root access. It's just a button tap on settings by the users. Android system won't kill it, the 20 plus phones I tested it on worked. it's a foreground service and it's made RAM efficient. What you would have said is that playstore won't allow it which is that is true to some extent. But saying my agent would be killed on android OS is so shallow and makes it seems like I didn't anticipate that prior, did my homework and built a workaround. Hence, that's why I said my most impressive project till date 😁. Paystack: Your OS level trash will never be allowed By Android security system to do any meaningful task.... Android will never give your app permissions to automate other apps or run above them, OS level my azz.
Your best short is to Root the so called operating system your build your Basic Ai on top off which will be redundant because no one will have the time to Root their phone just to play with your Shyt Ai

Lol 😂. Are you even hearing yourself? An OS level agent that can control your phone for you in the background while you do other stuffs is shyt? And by Saas, you mean another gpt wrapper? The next evolution of AI is going to be agentic, AI that can actually do stuffs. That shyt I built is the most complicated thing I've ever built ever since I became a developer and I'd like to say it's also the most impressive thing. Do you know how I felt when I saw my screen moving? opening and using apps without any human supervision? The fact that what I built even shocked me should said alot. So no, this by far is better than 1000 AI saas products combined Revealpanda: You're fund of building shyt meaningless app.

Cool direction honestly. Basically AI doing animation on behalf of you. Like giving it access to tools like blender or Maya 3d and letting it figure out the rest. It's called agentic AI, working on something similar 9jageek: Yes game developers do exist. Interestingly, game development and website development are two of the major goals that attract young Nigerians to software development. I have sat across at least 50 developers in job interviews, being through at least 3 startups in the past decades. One of the major goals that attract young engineers to software development, even beyond website development, is game development.
Now we are encouraging game developers to work with the help of AI and trust me, we see interest from many Nigerians, as obvious in this twitter thread https://x.com/i/status/2044088533858627843 discussing using Claude, CORE's memory layer and Blender. |

I'm currently working on an AI/ML project that uses external tools and like planning, memory, execution, pre written commands and stuffs like that. But I want to know, what is really the true definition of an AI agent? Is it just an LLM with a tool given to it as a superpower or something else? cause chatgpt has a built in search tool? does that make it an ai agent? or it's something that has a goal? I'm curious cause I wanted to know if what I'm currently building fits the correct description of an AI agent. |

After building ChatNaija, a Nigerian AI chatbot on android, I recently completed the cycle and also built an iOS version with Swift. Launching it on the app store would require a developer account of $99 which I'm still debating or maybe I should test flight which still requires an apple developer account? This isn't like android studio where I can just generate an APK and side load it. Does anyone knows how to distribute the app without going through the app store? What do you think?

Exactly what I was going for, the typical Nigerian convoy concept. I used pygame yes, just playing around with the module. as69: The convoy concept is very Nigerian lol. Good choice for the theme.
VictorIfe's Lagos background suggestion would actually work well - BRT buses in the background, Danfo cutting lanes as random obstacles. The concept is already there, just needs visuals to match the setting.
