Nairaland GeneralHow To Create A Catchy Introduction If You Have More Skills. by Davidlein(op): 12:55am On Mar 27, 2018
HOW TO CREATE A CATCHY INTRODUCTION YOU CAN USE AT ANY GATHERING IF YOU HAVE TWO OR MORE SKILLS.

If you're confused on creating an appealing introduction of yourself because you have two or more skills, I'll drop this short one, it will help you to create an interesting and a catchy intro you can use at any gathering if you have two or more skills.

Trust me, you don't want to look boring and unattractive after introducing yourself at any gathering. You would definitely want to sell yourself and the best way to do that is through your introduction.

Let's dine together.

Let me start by listing out my skills after which you'll find out how I created a catchy introduction that is very short and precise.

1. Creative writing
2. Content development
3. Public speaking
4. Web development
5. Strategic planning
6. Personal development and leadership coaching.
7. Brand strategizing
8. Copywriting
9. Editing

I also have other skills I am currently mastering which are video editing, graphics design (I currently use Canva but I want to go deep in Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop) and software programming. I didn’t have a coach, so I read books, blogs, and journals written by the experts in various fields and practiced as if they had taught me.

With the skills above, how do I introduce and sell myself at networking gathering and hangouts of any kind? You'll find out now.

Looking at the skills I have listed above, I'll be breaking the skills into what each of them has in common.

Creative writing, content development, web development, strategic planning, brand strategizing, copywriting and editing have something in common.

What do they have in common?

They have in common "writing and development".

Public Speaking can be alone. Or let us leave it on its own.

Personal development and leadership coaching can also be because it involves you, training, providing guidance and sharpening the qualities of another.

What do we have? We have successfully divided the above skills into three.

Don't forget those are my skills. Now, look at this introduction of mine.

"I am Davidlein. I am a creative and a content writer, a public speaker and a personal development and leadership coach. I help individuals, brands and businesses develop compelling content strategies that will boost their businesses and I provide personal development and leadership guidance to individuals."

The above introduction when said would never be more than 30 seconds.

In less than 30 seconds, I have successfully sell myself with this powerful introduction of mine. You can do the same.

You don't have to worry again, you don't have to be confused anymore, use the above help to create your own introduction if you have two or more skills.

'Of what importance is development if it doesn't get to the grassroots?' Global Leader, Chykah said with an ardent interest to take the movement to a global prominence.

'It is like a car without a fuel. No fuel, no movement,' Secretary General, Zainab cuts in.

Two years had passed and the kind of intense advocacy for a female president the "Save the Nation" had brought into existence is still reigning and trending all over the country.

They were friends, a group of five and was inspired to take an action following the incident that occurred in the life of Zainab.

Zainab, Chykah, Blessing, Adiaha, and Oluchi have been friends since when they were a child. The burning affection between these five is likened to a stream; all flowing in one direction.

Been an advocate of love, peace and altruism, these five would never give in to a cause that is unjust, or a movement carried out in the dark. They despise any form of cheating and they would always crave to end the flow of injustice.

Should we talk about beauty? Elegance? Classiness? Character- the beauty of the mind? These five possessed all of these. They were near perfect.

'I think we must initiate a "Call To Action" for all the women's associations, groups, and socio-political movement in the country. What do you guys feel about we convincing them to merge to form a platform?' ChinyereDistinguished said enthusiastically.

With over two-thousand members on board, Save the Nation had never been neglected when it comes to national and international affairs. Even the United Nations was attracted to the wonderful programmes of "Save the Nation". Indeed, there is power in the coming together of women who have puts it to themselves to make a change. But, would the global movement to produce a female president in Nigeria yield a positive result? Would Save the Nation accommodate a consistent persistency in the global movement they've created?

'Brilliant!' Chykah said in astonishment on hearing the idea to initiate a movement that'd bring about the coming together of all the women's platforms. 'We'll discuss this at our next meeting.'

The Global Leader ended the meeting and adjourned it with a seconded adjournment from Lizzy. And the executives made sure that the departure of over two-hundred members was successful.

The reason these five decided to cause a massive change which at the end gave birth to "Save the Nation" was that Zainab was robbed of her right. The one plot of land bequeathed to her by her dad was sold by her dad's friend who was an influential politician.

What a world! Why would a wealthy man deprive another of their belonging? Zainab's effort to bring to justice the evil deeds of her dad's friend dissolved entirely to nothing and bitterness. He won the case in the court of law and afterwards threatens to destroy Zainab. Nigeria! Injustice and wickedness have definitely become a part of you. Thanks to the friends of Zainab who stood by her and made sure to persuade her to relocate from her home.

'Save the Nation!' Chykah exclaimed while standing at the front of over ten thousand women.

'With love our religion! Altruism our tribe!' The women all shouted with their hands in the air.

With VicToria, Erhu, Lizzy, Lota and Temitope, broadcasting and entertainment was made easy. Victoria already brought in Dorcas, Agatha and Vera to do a lot of writings which would be published in several newspapers. Erhu already created a live stream space on her brainchild of five years ago (JustReadNg)which started as a platform that promotes the reading culture amongst children to enable the youths to catch it live. Lizzy and Lota would give a very inspiring talk on the essence of the movement while Temitope would be using her melodious voice to thrill the audience.

The idea from ChinyereDistinguished on merging came to be after two years of hard work from all members of "Save The Nation". Indeed, it was a remarkable day to see over ten thousand women in the cause to produce a female president.

'My sisters,' The Global Leader, Chykah began, 'our gathering today will give birth to a new
history and I believe each and every one of us will live to see us continue making history. My next President of Nigeria must be a leader. I mean a true leader and a leader is by definition, an innovator. He does things other people haven’t done or don’t do. He makes new things. He makes old things new. As one author puts it "leaders must be right-brain, as well as left-brain thinkers." Nigeria needs a president that will lead brilliantly not just from his mind, but also from his heart. In other words, a president that will serve with greatness and goodness. A president that will serve with all his might. My next president of Nigeria must have exceptional intellectual skills with deep humanitarian instincts. A president that does not romanticise or sentimentalize the difficult circumstances of his childhood. Rather, use his acutely painful experience as a source of life-long compassion and concern for Nigerians especially the poor majority. A president who will engrave his name in history. With our nation greatly embroiled in economic and social turmoil, and other age-old dilemmas, the president’s purpose must be to preserve the true meaning of democracy-- “government of the people, by the people, and for the people". A president who is compassionate, kindhearted, and immodest. A president with extraordinary empathy that will put himself in place of poor Nigerians to experience what they are feeling and to understand their motives and desires. A president with a crowning gift of political diagnosis of what is wrong with our nation and with solutions. A brilliant thinker and masterly orator who will move Nigerians through his humour and kind personal presence. A president who will direct, manage conflicts, motivate, create a new status quo that will forever be maintained. A president who gets up in the morning and is more excited because he’s nervous about the burden of 190 million Nigerians squarely placed on his shoulders. And if the president is not nervous every day he gets up in the morning, then he’s dead. My next president of Nigeria must be able to see everybody as somebody and must eradicate wickedness in the nation by advocating for love. My next president of Nigeria must be a strong advocate of love, peace, unity, altruism and harmony. So far, those making noise about the presidency, in my opinion, do not meet these qualifications of my next president of Nigeria. But then, it will interest you to know that we can really make one, not just one, but a female president if we use the authority and the powers we wield to search for the passionate one.'

With joy and enthusiasm, the crowd made a loud sound with a heavy round of applause.

The End.

My near 'drop out' experience.
______________________________

So I was called back home from my place of work by my mum to go back to my school for my clearance. I have been postponing the clearance since July but the frequent calling from mum forced me made up my mind to go do the school thing.

Initially, I don't like school, no, wait, I don't like the educational system of our dear Nigeria and it made me not to like school.

It was Monday morning, I woke up at around 5:30am to prepare for my journey to Ekiti state. I switched on my phone's flashlight but it wouldn't come up. Actually, the screen was having problem and it would keep touching itself. I got impatient and smashed the phone on the concrete wall.

So I left Abuja for Ekiti State with no phone at hand. Mum had asked why I would travel without a phone, that how would I be contacted that morning but I told her I would cope and call her when I get to Ekiti state.

When I arrived Ekiti state at around 6:20pm, I bought a small phone to at least insert my sim card and make calls. I did and started making calls to notify home I have arrived safely.

To the main deal.

I left for the school hoping to begin clearing on Tuesday morning. I paid all necessary fees and collected the clearance form.

I began walking from offices to offices for the concerned lecturers to sign but most of the lecturers from the other departments would say they are on strike so they can't sign for me.

Fine, the school is on strike but that doesn't stop the clearance. After all, lecturers are present in the school premises.

I was begging and they were saying they won't sign.

'Ahh! This system sucks.'

I began to wonder why clearance would be hell.

I had to go make complaint to the higher authorities the second day. Fine, it was signed by the authorities but it doesn't end there.

To the moment I made up my mind to drop out.

Having signed all required documents, I left for the school admin to submit my O'level results. I haven't mentioned I had to travel to Niger state for the collection of my original O'level result before leaving for Ekiti state. It was stressful, very stressful.

I entered the appropriate office to submit but I was asked to wait. Like a patient lion, I did, hoping to end the stress.

After three hours, I was called in. I gave the woman all the documents and watched how she was staring at them with discomfort.

'Hmm. This one should not tell me nonsense again o.'

After few minutes, she gave me back my documents and said my NECO result is not original. She said I should go back to my secondary school to ask for it.

I explained I had to travel to Niger state for the result and the school gave me the both result. The WAEC was original but the NECO was as a statement of result.

I begged her to understand. I told her statement of result cannot lie that she should consider how far Niger state is to Ekiti state and the resources I would use for the travels. But, she didn't listen. She sent away the patient lion that has waited for four hours.

What a system!

Again, I accommodated resilience and decided to visit the branch office of NECO in Ado-ekiti hoping they would provide the original.

I left for NECO's office and when I get there, they told me they don't have it. They told me I should go back to Niger state.

'Haaa! Niger state again?'

I made up my mind to quit. I made up my mind to drop out.

'I hate school. To hell with the system.'

To the moment that aborted my decision.

Since I have made up my mind to quit, I decided to tell a brother I'll be leaving for Abuja without accomplishing my mission.
I called him and that call changed my mind. That call aborted my decision.

'David, try na.'

That was the clause he used that changed my mind.

The lion is back on his feet.
Again, I went to the school looking very tired and dirty. I saw a man at the entrance of the admin and I was pushed by something within to explain everything to him.

'Good day sir, I have a problem which I feel you can help me solve,' I said feeling very exhausted.

'How sure are you I can solve it? Well, say it,' he said.

I brought out my documents and explained how my O'level was not accepted because one is a statement and not the original. I told him I have been doing my clearance for two weeks now and how I was delayed by some lecturers. He said it shouldn't be like that. He said two days is enough, that I should have complained to higher authorities. He said they are paid to do the work and he sees no reason why they should delay me.

Behold, the one I complained to was among the head of the department. He was the boss.

He collected my documents and stamped it at the front of the woman who chased me away.

And lo, I was given my result the following Monday.

If you want to know the one who says I should try, indicate in the comment section.

Meditation is something I can’t do without and I have had experience of seeing myself in a place that doesn’t look like earth. Do not be afraid. I am very young and I am human.

Been an advocate of love, peace, unity and altruism, I have been opened to sacred knowledge of the world. You might be asking yourself how being an advocate of love, peace, unity and altruism open one to different knowledge of the world. But trust me, there are secrets you can never know of if you have no loving heart.

I so much cherish God that all I do all in my life is to think like Him. After all, he created me in his own image and likeness. What then should be wrong in thinking like God? What then should be wrong if I keep going deep in acquiring knowledge? What then should be wrong if I decided to be a god who will bring others to be right with God and who will destroy all the ways of the evil?

The apple still runs in our bloodstream and that is why we are battling today, with all manners of evil. O yes! It still runs in our bloodstream. Going back to the time of Adam and Eve, why did you think Eve was formed from the ribs of Adam? I trust you know God was always talking with Adam before he created Eve? Why then should He create Eve because I believe He knew the serpent will definitely tempt Eve? Don’t tell me you don’t know!

But have you ever ask yourself why the serpent did not tempt Adam? Of course, he knew. He knew Adam will never give in to his will because of the respect and fear Adam have for God and that is the reason he waited for Eve to be formed because he knew Eve would be a fragile human. Should we say the serpent has achieved his aim? Or should we say God has achieved his aim? Thinking deeply about these two would make you want to run mad. What do you do? Understand God and automatically, you will understand the devil.

After Eve has eaten out of the apple, there was no evil. Do you know that there would have been no evil had it been Adam did not eat out of the apple? Maybe Eve would have been destroyed or maybe God would have created another Eve. But evil descended upon the earth after Eve gave Adam the apple to bite. Whose evil? Have you asked yourself? From where cometh evil?

God created evil. God created Lucifer. Do you know that Lucifer was the second in command after God? God loves him so much and that is why even till date, He could not destroy him. Maybe He would have destroyed him but what will happen to that side of God that loves Lucifer? Do you know that the only part of God that hates to see Lucifer is the Holy Spirit? Apart from the Holy Spirit, every other part of God loves the devil.

Back to us.

Do we know that there’s a part of us that is so evil? Don’t tell me you don’t know. We are created by God and thus, all the qualities of God are in us. Anger, jealousy, hatred, love, peace, humility, loyalty and other qualities you know of, is in God and because He created us, it is in us too.

The only difference between us and God is that God knows how to channel his anger to the right source, He knows how to channel jealousy to the right source, He knows how to channel every quality to the right source. But humans, we cannot channel it to the right source. Maybe few. It is not like we don’t know how to channel it to the right source, but we so much allowed the evil path to consume us and make all our actions at that moment evil. The Holy Spirit is the way. It allows your anger move to the right source that is if you allowed it.

Because of the apple in us, that is why we offend ourselves but only the ones who allowed the Holy Spirit to guide them have the heart to forgive. The apple still runs in our bloodstream and that is why the world is miserable. Don’t tell me you don’t know the world is miserable. The world is miserable.

You will hear of an earthquake today, tomorrow, it is a volcano, three days later it is a flood. And these disasters will destroy so many things and deprive all living thing of living. Have you ever asked yourself the cause of all these disasters? Or do you think they occurred naturally?
Have we asked ourselves why all of this is happening?

Atrocities! Atrocities! Atrocities!

A sin that is not forgiven! He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. What should that tell us? He afflicted the people of Israel for more than four hundred years in Egypt because Abraham offended him. Don’t tell me you don’t know. He punished them for the sin of Abraham. What should that tell you?

The apple still runs in our bloodstream but we can make sure it does not overpower us. Because when it does, who knows what will happen next?

I bless those who are praying for the world. I also bless those who are praying for themselves.

Who am I to curse those who will never pray for this world?

Selah.

My Next President of Nigeria

My next President of Nigeria must be a leader. I mean a true leader and a leader is by definition, an innovator. He does things other people haven’t done or don’t do. A leader will always go for the unprecedented. A leader does things in advance of other people. He makes new things. He makes old things new. As one author puts it “… leaders must be right- brain, as well as left-brain thinkers. They must be intuitive, conceptual, synthesizing, and artistic.” Other requirements for my next president of Nigeria stem from the expanded definition of a leader. Nigeria needs a president that will lead brilliantly not just from his mind, but also from his heart. In other words, a president that will serve with greatness and goodness. A president that will serve with all his might.

My next president of Nigeria must have exceptional intellectual skills with deep humanitarian instincts. A president that does not romanticize or sentimentalize the difficult circumstances of his childhood. Rather, use his acutely painful experience as a source of life-long compassion and concern for Nigerians especially the poor majority. A president that will exercise incomparable drive and determination. A president that can make a very good decision that will go a long way in causing a positive change in the lives of the citizens.

A president with the belief that he has a purpose to fulfil. A president who will engrave his name in history. With our nation greatly embroiled in economic and social turmoil, and other age-old dilemmas, the president’s purpose must be to preserve the true meaning of democracy-“government of the people, by the people, and for the people.” A president who will consistently find the courage to invigorate the spirits of our citizens at this period of our nation’s most dire and desperate times. A president who will invoke the citizens to be truly passionate about the nation.

A president who is compassionate, kindhearted, and immodest. A president that will wield the vast powers of the presidency more tenderly and forbearingly. A president with extraordinary empathy that will put himself in place of poor Nigerians to experience what they are feeling and to understand their motives and desires. A president with a crowning gift of political diagnosis of what is wrong with our nation and with solutions.

A president with a rare wisdom of temperament that consistently displays magnanimity toward those that oppose him. A brilliant thinker and masterly orator who will move Nigerians through his humour and kind personal presence. A president whose honesty and eloquence will produce conviction in Nigerians because of his own convictions. A president gifted with quick and benign wit to soften wounded feelings and dispel anxieties of the poor and other marginalized elements in our society.A president who will direct, manage conflicts, motivate, create a new status quo that will forever be maintained.

A president whose engagement and performance will be influenced by feelings and emotions of Nigerians. A president that will show he’s a human being who is able to identify with the challenges our people face and the sacrifices they make. A president who gets up in the morning and is more excited because he’s nervous about the burden of 190 million Nigerians squarely placed on his shoulders. And if the president is not nervous every day he gets up in the morning, then he’s dead. A president who is willing to learn by leading in the face of obstacles knowing full well that as weather shapes mountains, so do problems makes leaders.

But then, it will interest you to know that we can really make one if we use our voting powers to search for the passionate one.

PoliticsOmoluwabi Movement Propels Good Character Among Nigerian Youths by Davidlein(op): 4:49am On Aug 23, 2017
The race has started and opened to anyone who wishes to take possession. It’s high time the elders of our nation allow the youth to take full responsibilities of some political affairs so as to secure a better structure for the nation.

A socio-political group, Omoluwabi Movement of Africa has moved to restore the lost norms, values, and cultures of Yoruba land by enlightening the youths on the need to rise against the marginalisation of Yoruba nation in Nigeria.

The movement which is also culturally oriented is also aimed at empowering and supporting youths with leadership skills and who are ready to occupy political offices in the country by 2019 general elections irrespective of political affiliations.

The Convener of the movement, Amb. Abayomi Rotimi Mighty while addressing the assembly of youths in Akure during the first physical meeting of Omoluwabi Movement of Africa, Ondo chapter stressed the need for people that are of good character, competent, and have compassion for the masses to occupy elective positions in the nation.

Abayomi who doubles as the Executive Director of Women Trafficking and Child Labour Eradication Foundation in Nigeria emphasised the need for youths to change their orientation in politics and strive to let their voices be heard rather than serve as election tools for politicians.

According to him, the movement emerged as a result of pain, anguish, and anger that arose having discovered that the Yoruba do not have unified powerful leaders to look up to since the passage of the likes of Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

He noted that although the movement still believes in the wisdom of elders, it is therefore against those elders that do not respect youths by failing to listen to the language of youths in the country.

The United Nations Ambassador described true federalism as a panacea to Nigeria’s development while calling for restructuring, adding that every structure must benefit every culture, saying enough of one group feeding on others but for everyone to be duly represented.

The Convener who noted that the movement already has about 118million members, charged youths to struggle to build their capacity in terms of characters and competency, saying if Nigeria would thrive, there is a need for competent leaders to govern the nation.

He noted further that lack of intelligentsia in Yoruba land will speak against the ethnic group in future if care is not taking while lamenting the lack of respect for traditional stool by the governors, saying when the movement has its way this anomaly will be corrected and governors will consult traditional rulers before taking any decision.

A supporter of the movement, Otunba Yomi Odunowo noted that the future of the country depends on the youths, hence he supports the movement despite being an elderly person because he has seen that the movement embodies all qualities needed by a leader to govern well.

The Chairman of Omoluwabi movement of Africa Otunba Yomi Odunowo Empowerment Centre in Ogun state, however, lamented that the youths are mostly affected by the recession period the country is experiencing and it’s time for the youths to take cover so as to enable them for a grand take-over.

According to him, “the reason why the country is going down is because older people have refused to let go and I have decided to channel my time and energy to champion the course to encourage and mentor the youths.”

“The issue of money in politics is part o the law of power, they intentionally impoverished the youths so that they can induce them with money during the election.

The State Coordinator of the movement, Mr Adeniyi Olakunle who described the movement as a socio-cultural and political group noted that its mission is to raise dependable leaders in the society with good characters and with the spirit of altruism.

Nigeria is in a very difficult state and Omoluwabi as a movement has come out to tackle the challenges to set structures that will represent all culture to speak the minds of Nigerians.

The meeting which had as its theme “Manifestation of positive expectations through Omoluwabi” had in attendance students of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Federal College of Agriculture Akure and other institutions of learning in the state and both employed and unemployed graduates across the state.

PoliticsOpen Letter To All Nigerians by Davidlein(op): 3:37am On Aug 15, 2017
OPEN LETTER TO ALL NIGERIANS

Arise, O compatriots

Nigeria’s call obey

To serve our fatherland

With love and strength and faith

The labour of our heroes past

Shall never be in vain

To serve with heart and might

One nation bound in freedom

Peace and unity.

Oh God of creation

Direct our noble cause

Guide our leaders right

Help our youth the truth to know

In love and honesty to grow

And living just and true

Great lofty heights attain

To build a nation where peace

And justice shall reign

So many people want to get rich but we always approach the situation from a very wrong angle. Yes, it is true our nation needs to be arranged to enable the best standard of living of the citizens but still, we really are not helping the situations from our own ways of living.

Our lifestyle and thinking are so bad that we only focus on getting wealthy and thus we wake up each day strategizing on how to place ourselves to get money. Hmmm!! I write with sadness and deep bitterness to all Nigerians.

If only we would think and strategize on how to better another’s life and forget about the system, I speak to you right now, things would have been very easy. It is very sad to always know that individuals only want to focus on how to become great so that they’ll keep telling everyone they come across about their success story.

*sigh* It is expected of us to think about how to make our nation a great nation by blessing the less privileged among us and using the qualities in us to initiate those who haven’t discover their talents or those who haven’t mastered their skills to become a positive change agent and promote creativity through any means of awareness and development.

How do we move forward when everyone is thinking about getting money? How do we move forward when everyone just wants to focus only on his/her path? How do we move forward when all we ever want to do is narrate our success story and make others sad. Seriously? Is this how we want our country to move forward? Is this how things will be better? Is this how we’ll continue until the end?

Our thinking needs to change. Our lifestyle needs to change. We all must change. We must change for the best. Those born with a silver spoon should render assistance to those born without a silver spoon.

Most of the popular sayings are really turning us into monsters. For example, let’s look at this saying by Bill Gates — ‘If you are born poor it’s not your mistake, but if you die poor it’s your mistake.’ So many people are turning to monsters because of this. This saying is contrary to what most of us think. Do you think it is telling us to only think and strategize about getting money? Do you think it is telling us to make others suffer just because we want to get rich? No! Before I tell the meaning, do we even know what it means to be wealthy? Do we know what it means not to die poor? You’re wealthy when you’ve caused a great impact on another’s life. You’re wealthy when you’ve successfully made others to also help others. You’re wealthy when others have been able to fully discover their talents through you. You’re wealthy when others have been able to master their skills through you. If only we would allow all this to always drive our everyday life then we would all die wealthy.

*sigh* I am very sad and you’ve successfully read my blood and sweat. Hear O people! Use the qualities in you to make tomorrow better. It is time to create and share with the world.

Yours in writing

LiteraturePath To Unveiling Your Purpose (why We Fail) by Davidlein(op): 7:27pm On Jun 02, 2017
REASON FOR YOUR FAILURE.

You’ve done your best, but all you could ever taste was a blank being drawn. You’ve tried other ways to see if there will be a breakthrough but still, you remain on the same spot. You decided to hate the world and even yourself. You blame yourself for your inability to thrive. You even go to the extent of committing suicide. Wait, relax. This is for you. Your life is about to change and you’re about to put in shackles all the failed endeavours and move to a greater height and become the greatest.
There are many reasons why most people like you are still not understanding what they should do to unable them taste the sweetest part of the world and make their own world conducive and to even accommodate more people. You may be a high school student, an undergraduate, a graduate or an apprentice. The earlier you discover what you want to become, the faster and better your entire life will be. Most people failed because they really did not comprehend their life and this has makes things very difficult for them. It is high time you made up your mind on that particular thing you want to become so that you’ll master the skills and be the best in that field.

DECIDING FOR YOUR FUTURE.

When it comes to deciding for your future, do away with advice especially when you have a bad feeling about it. They will not be there when you’ll be suffering because you heed to their advice and neglect what your heart has been hammering to you. Your parents are another factor. They’ll tell you not to explore that opportunity, they’ll think they’re protecting you but the real deal is that they’re afraid because they’ve failed and they think you’ll fail also. Prove them wrong today. Tell them the world is growing fast and it takes the creative minds to explore and make something tangible out of it. Tell them you need to learn very fast and mingle with creative people for you to be creative and know how creativity work.

HOW I BECOME WHO I AM.

When I was 6, I love art, I enjoyed drawing, painting was in me and I was very fast in writing notes in the class. I wanted to become a great artist. When I was 11, I have a very great passion for soccer. I was the best in my school as at then when it comes to playing football. All I ever wanted was to become a professional football player. When I was in high school, I enjoyed science and I was very good in chemistry. I wanted to become a doctor. You can see now how what I want to become in the future keeps switching. I am very good in making use of any environment I found myself to develop a passion and meditate on that passion because that is what is currently booming in that environment, so I have no choice but to become the best in that field not knowing I was getting it wrong. But the craziest of it was that, I fall in love with the passion of becoming a doctor. All I ever thought of as of then was how I must become a doctor. It was crazy; I studied extra miles to gain the full knowledge of physics, chemistry, and biology because I wanted to become a doctor. I graduated from high school and hoping to be admitted to a university to study medicine to become a doctor but I was rejected. I tried the following year, and again I was rejected. You want to know what happened during my stay at home throughout the whole 2 years; I was busy writing down my thoughts driven by my everyday life. I am too emotional and that has made writing very easy for me especially when it comes to writing motivational and a very inspiring piece. I still did not get it. I made up my mind to go to a polytechnic to study science laboratory technology because I felt it is still on medical line. Guess what happened? I was denied the course again and was given admission to study Agricultural Technology. Is it the work of fate or what? I had no choice because I don’t want to remain at home while my mates are all gaining admission and going to school, therefore I accepted the admission to study Agricultural Technology. Don’t be surprised, I am still writing. I have developed my poetic skills and the ability to write down anything.
Fast forward to becoming the president of my department and graduating with a good grade. But during those period, something happened; I had full knowledge of nature, I understand how nature works because I studied Agricultural Technology. In fact, I had the knowledge of human system because I studied Agriculture. Just look at it. From craving to becoming a professional soccer player and medical doctor to having a diploma in Agricultural Technology. What a twisted fate. But is this really the work of fate? Or am I in the journey of finding myself? Right now, I am a professional writer, not just that, but I have and I am making positive impacts and initiating positive change agent through my writing and my speaking prowess. I can never and never be neglected when it comes to politics because I have also understand politics and still learning.

KNOW YOUR PURPOSE.

I know you must have been triggered by the story above. Now just look at your life, what is that thing you found yourself doing frequently but you are really not paying attention to it? Can you dance? Can you write? Can you sing? Can you play football? Can you speak publicly? Can you strategize to develop? Can you promote? Can you change the minds of people? Can you initiate positive change agents? Can you paint? What can you do? This is what you should ask yourself. You have a talent. Read this below to understand fully what I am trying to pass to you: Your life is what you think it should be, that's exactly what you are right now. You are what you thought you should be and if you don't like what you are, you must change what you think you should be. What you think is more important than what you do. And so if you want to change you must work on this attitude.
That is it. I can see your heart smiling and I can see you’re determined to add values to your life. You have to create and stand by it. It is my joy to write to you that you’re a very special person and it is my duty to help you discover the skills and the talents in you.
I’ll be coming again in the part 2 of this to help you discover your purpose. But it is your duty to also help me see through you so that things will be easier for both of us. I love you and it is because of you I am living.

Haba na. Your publisher brings you an offer that would sell 1.5 million copies yearly and asks that you accept negotiations for a bulk discount and you just blatantly refuse? You aren't the one doing the printing, you have no overheads, you just wrote a book 10 years ago and just for nothing you refuse a build discount offering?

The writer is an illiterate.

1.5 million copies yearly. Even if the royalties is just 30 Naira, that's like getting paid N45 million yearly for a job you did 10 years ago. That one na oil well na!
When he was writing the book did he even dream of selling 10,000 copies??

Jason sat down staring at her, He gazed passionately at her beautiful countenance, his ability to be aware of things and to think and reason brought forth an erotic thoughts, He was willing to have her instantly, she lay horizontally on her mattress with her both legs vertically placed on her cupboard, she noticed David staring at her, "it is better you take your mind off that, it won't do you any good but leave you in trauma" she said jokingly. He smiled broadly and moved over to her side pretending not to have heard what she said. He lay on her back using his tongue to lick her ears romantically, she turned around facing him, her heart was craving for that French kiss, "what are you waiting for?" She said, he smiled and gave her a hot kiss, rolling and biting her tongue passionately with his. They were undressing themselves when a sudden bang was heard at the door, Jason felt like the world is going to end, "who is that again" she pushed him away and stood, getting dressed and heading straight to the door. Jason was a 300 level student of literature in Afe Babalola University when he met Kate, it was at the school library, Kate had come to look for a particular reference book to back up her team explanation on a particular term paper given to them by one of their lecturers. On sighting Kate, He couldn't concentrate anymore, no girl on campus has ever turn him on like this one, is it the beautiful countenance, is it the majestic footsteps, is it the beautiful dress she was putting on, she's got everything. Jason's friend were getting sick of him, "if you really need her then go to her" one of them said. He stood, walking towards her like a king "He's got this charming smile and good physique you love, just look at him, he's the perfect guy for you" This thoughts were running to and fro in her head. " Hi, I am Jason, a 300 level student of literature and you are", "Kate, a 200 level student of fine art" she turned around looking closely at the books in the shelves. "Yes, I found it", "found what" Jason said, she turned around smiling looking at his face "I found the reference book we are to use on a term paper". Jason was astonished, he was in love, just look at her smile, killer smile, a smile that could bring the universe to obey her command, he finally met someone whose smile is more killing than his, he can't just afford to lose her. Kate said stretching her hands towards his cup of fruit juice, "I am actually not happy, I think I can't live without you by my side" she smiled and said to him "don't worry, my heart belongs to you alone". In this time of recession, even if there is an increase in the price of garri, We are still using this medium to thank you. You have really made our feeding easy for us.
Your garri have made us understand that no matter the condition we find ourselves in, We still believe there's hope around, what I really mean by the previous sentence is, no matter how hungry we are, We still have garri to drink, it is either we have it in our possession or we ask from our friends. The garri you're producing is repeatedly helping the Nigerian students on daily basis as it is our major source of energy.
The Nigerian students have even turn the garri you're producing to our favorite delicacy.
In the morning, it is the garri you produce we'll consume before going to our various lecture rooms, We normally soak it in water and consume, anytime we are in the lecture room receiving lectures, We always come to understand every bit of lectures we have received. After lectures, We can never forget to take our cup and soak the same garri again as soon as we arrive our hostel as it help our body to refresh.
At times, We will have enough to eat but without us getting to soak the garri you produce, We don't seem complete to carry out our daily activities.
The funniest thing is that there's no Nigerian students who has not in one way or the other talk about the garri you're producing. We have even given it a name and a slogan which have become so popular among the Nigerian schools. Do you care to know the name? Okay, 'G4' is the popular name we've given to the garri you're producing while 'student power' is the popular slogan.
I won't hesitate to give you some examples of how some Nigerian students use the so called popular name of garri (G4) whenever they want to consume it or ask from their friends, You'll hear some Nigerian students saying "Oboi, how far, abeg that your 'G4' still remain so", You'll hear another one like "When i enter hostel ehnn, na 'G4' things o, cos I need to enter field go play ball". You can see now that G4 is very popular among the Nigerian students.
Lastly, dear garri producers, We the Nigerian students are very grateful and are pleading on behalf of every citizens of Nigeria that you should in any way stop the increase in the price of garri, We understand that you labor hard in producing the cassava most of the Nigerian student know as 'manihot spp' , but you also know we the Nigerian students are not the cause of the difficulties you experience in production.
So therefore, We the Nigerian students are looking forward to see the price of garri decreasing as it will definitely increase the quantity of garri in our various cupboard.

Yours in writing

LiteratureYou Are Your Obstacle (A Must Read) by Davidlein(op): 1:35am On Feb 20, 2017
"One man can change the world" so they said. Yes, it is very possible and happening today. It is just a pity most of us cannot comprehend the word 'change the world'.
You can change any bad situation you find yourself in with you being persistent.
Change is inevitable but we must note that no change can come to existence without actions.
You don't need to wait for the perfect time to create something because there won't be perfect time, it is your responsibility to create a perfect time.
You take no actions, you procrastinate; you are your obstacle.
You keep waiting for the perfect time, you feel there's no enough resources; you are your obstacle.
You are very creative but you fail to make use of that creativeness; you are your obstacle.
You're filled with wisdom, you understand every concept but you're now seen as the embodiment of laziness; you are your obstacle.
Don't be your obstacle, pick yourself up, it is never too late, resilience and perseverance are mandatory.

LiteratureRe: Being Moral, Being Righteous. by Davidlein(op): 4:05pm On Jan 20, 2017
Being righteous means you are perfect and Holy.
Being righteous is being right for God.

Being righteous automatically makes you moral but being moral doesn't mean you're righteous.
