I decided to check it again now that market has closed, after CPI release;
gold dropped 400 pips
US100 dropped 390 pips
US500 dropped 100 pips
US30 dropped 700 pips

With due respect bossmi I believe all strategies can be traded on all account as long as the trader himself can adhere to strict risk management, the question here is how discipline is the trader when it comes to risk management because even with a strategy that does not trade news will still definitely blow up an account if the trader decides to gamble, I personally don't trade more than 1 lot size on my competition accounts, I believe If I am as good as I think I am, it shouldn't stop me from hitting a high % return irrespective of how long it may take though.

I sold gold at 2028 and just as I had anticipated, gold breach 2009, tp smashed on gold remaining US30

You guys haven't seen anything yet, just go and watch US30 the beast how it will sell heavily from NYSE stock open at 9.30 est which is 3.30 pm ngn time l. I'm already short US30 and I am expecting a drop of 300 to 400 points on US30 because of how solid the CPI data is, this news release is one sided and I am not expecting any reversal of some sort, I'm speaking base on my back testing results and my own little experience. trade safe guys.

JPY doesn't do much for me, I don't even understand the pips. NZD - manageable.

you are absolutely right boss, I've also tried to trade various news and I find out that the most market moving news are news on USD and GBP, the rest don't move as such or rather try trading other news against JPY pairs as the might move somewhat. I once traded chf CPI release on CHFJPY and it only moved about 40pips whereas on USDCHF it was just rangebound

I don't think gold will be bullish as long as US yields continues it's journey up north, stronger yields means weaker gold.

I am still bullish on the DXY and price delivered as I had anticipated last week on the dollar. Rising yields plus hawkish remarks from the members of the Fed kept the DXY afloat while holding on to it's gains. Next week CPI will send DXY out of its consolidation and maybe take out the high of Dec 2023. Still very much bullish on the dollar

I personally look at all three of the index, and I have observed that nasdaq is quick to shift structure out of all the three index, US30 seems to be the slowest of the three but the most volatile of the three also. most times I used the nasdaq as a leading indicator because when it changes structure, the sp500 instantly follows it while the US30 may take a day or two b4 it eventually follows suit
