brain54: We have heartless politicians...
Retirees should be taken care of and compensated for the service they put in through the years.
How can someone work 35 years with no adequate measures to take care of them after retirement?
But the same politicians don't waste time to sign bills and laws on their welfare when it concerns them.
Nigeria needs a change in orientation... we can't continue this way. This is not the way to build a country! When we protest for good governance It’s this same police they use against us. Now they are civilians 35 in service and the government is showing them pepper |

Do not let anyone tell you no sex before marriage while they probably satisfy themselves with a sex partner or whoever. For a virgin yes But for none virgin NO. Before you give over used pussy after marriage |

Romance › Re: Is It Appropriate To Help My Married Ex? by davillian(m): 9:57am On Apr 18 |
Toolegit123: Good day my Nairaland fam.
Please, matured minds in the house,is it a good thing for a man to help his ex girlfriend who's now married, financially. She used to be someone whom I loved so dearly in the past but unfortunately, she broke up with me immediately she met someone who was already asking her hand in marriage. It's been over 3 years since she got married and I made sure I cut every bit of communication between us. Out of the blue,I don't know who gave her my number. She called me,and apologized for what she did to me. Even before she could ask for my help,I already knew her husband wasn't financially buoyant like I thought. She said she wants to open a provision store ,cuz immediately after they got married, they relocated to Lagos. And she asked for my assistance.
So,I don't know if it's appropriate at all to help her, considering how she left me emotionally stranded when I needed her the most in my life. Tho I've completely moved on with my life, but receiving a call from her brought back a whole lot of memories.
Please,my fellow Nairalanders, reason with me. Should I help her out? Check your phone you would see that your friend that needs help give him the money. Your revenge came you want to dash her money na wa o |

Education › Re: From Hope2heartbreak: How Technical Failure Ruined My Daughter’s JAMB CBT-2026 by davillian(m): 8:38am On Apr 18 |
upibenterprise: “From Hope to Heartbreak: How Technical Failure Ruined My Daughter’s JAMB Exam After a Painful Journey to Omoku in Port Harcourt”
Yesterday was one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I have ever had since I started accompanying my children to JAMB CBT centres, as a father.
My daughter and I travelled all the way to Federal College of Education (Technical), Omoku, from UNIPORT, a place we had never been before. To avoid any issues, we left UNIPORT on Wednesday afternoon, spent money to lodge in a hotel, and prepared carefully for her exam scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. We arrived at the centre before 7:30 a.m., hopeful and ready.
Sadly, what we met there was confusion and disorder. The candidates scheduled for 6:30 a.m. were already inside, yet their exam had not even started due to technical problems. To our shock, the 9:00 a.m. candidates, including my daughter, were also ushered in despite the unresolved issues.
From that moment, we waited… and waited… and waited. Hours passed in uncertainty and discomfort. From morning until about 2:00 p.m., not a single exam was conducted. No clear communication, no solution, just growing tension and frustration everywhere.
In the end, we were simply told to go home, that JAMB would reschedule another date and centre. for those of 6:30 am & 9:00 am respectively. Just like that. After all the stress, cost, and effort, my daughter did not write her exam.
As the environment became increasingly chaotic and unsafe, we had no choice but to leave and find our way back to Port Harcourt. We finally got home around 4:30 p.m., grateful at least for our safety, but deeply saddened and discouraged.
Till now, I have been checking the JAMB portal (https://slipsprinting.jamb.gov.ng/main-examination) repeatedly, hoping to see a new date and centre for my daughter, but nothing yet.
It is truly painful and disheartening to go through so much, only to be left with uncertainty and disappointment. I been think say when you people left they wrote the exams. Sorry for the stress but I want the blive the exams would be rescheduled. |

Romance › Re: There’s One Thing My Girlfriend Has Never Done, Yet We’re Planning Marriage by davillian(m): 10:07pm On Apr 12 |
CYBERWEAVER: I am currently planning to get married. I’ve been with my babe for about a year now.
After several consultations, we agreed on a wedding budget of about 3 million Naira.
But I keep asking myself one very honest question: how do I commit that kind of money to someone who hasn’t really shown the same level of effort back, even in something as small as 5k, despite earning a little?
Asin, I never smell her 5k since we started dating.
At this point, it’s not even about the money anymore. It’s about intention, balance, and simple acts of kindness.
Even on my birthday, I didn’t receive a gift from her, and that stayed with me more than I expected.
I’ve never had to deliberately test her money, because genuine care and small acts of giving usually show themselves naturally over time.
To be clear, I’ve been carrying most of the financial weight in this relationship, and there’s hardly anything tangible she has ever done for herself without at least my 50% contribution since we met.
I don’t complain, but I also don’t want to ignore what I’m seeing.
As a responsible man, I’m trying to be honest with myself before I take a step I can’t easily undo.
So I want to ask people who are married or have real experience: if I go ahead and marry in a relationship where this is the current dynamic, what should I realistically expect in marriage?
I’m not trying to assume the worst, but I also believe experience speaks louder than hope. wear tear tear boxers and watch if she would buy u another one if not just prepare yourself for your money is our money and my money if my own..... your miggt bot get a y financial support you go see pepoer..... wedding 3 mill whats het own contribution or support from her own side |

Our 'leaders' come from our people and they express and manifest the mentality and backwardness of our people. Please I need all the help I can get from articulate, thoroughly thoughtful, aware and matured Nigerian - from any walk of life and location but preferably those who are resident in Nigeria.
