Cashmadam: Honestly, this question is confusing and I still don't know the correct answer.
When I sponsor my adult children (because they are still my babies ), they put the total cost of the trip.
Some people put their own contribution. In your case, £1000 should be the correct answer based on what I have read others do.
I hope this helps. Thanks Cashmadam. It's a bit tricky, cos that same part says : Calculate the total cost including accomodation, feeding and transportation. Etc and state how much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK? See my experience In March, 2024 my mum applied and I completed the form for her. I filled the form stating that 3 of us were sponsoring her I put in my amount in Naira My uncle put his in Naira My elder brother (her first born), I inserted £1000 since he was the host and 'inviter' In the portion, where the subject question was asked, I mistakenly put in ₦2.5m as amount she would be personally spending, which was wrong. Luckily, she was granted and only just returned back home in June. My coming tripI'll be applying later in December and my plan is this. My company part sponsoring with ₦8million and I'll insert this in the part where it says is anyone sponsoring your trip Then, I'll insert ₦2m as the part where it says how much are you personally contributing to this trip |

CornOak: It's the money you personally want to spend on the trip and not the entire money . There's another section where you will be asked if anyone is paying towards your visit, this where your sponsor's fund comes in.
How much are you personally spending? £1000 Any additional support? Yes, sponsor is paying £4,000
Ensure to demonstrate the relationship between you and your sponsor and state succinct reasons why they are paying towards your visit.
Also remember to establish solid home ties, such as your asset and employment documents, your family in Nigeria, religious/social affiliations, and more.
Good luck.
Thank you |

Good evening guys.
I have two questions
1. How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK? (Does this mean your own out of pocket that you would be spending on the trip or the entire amount that would be spent on the trip)
To make my question clear.
Total cost of trip that includes feeding, travel cost etc is say £5000
I am only going to contribute £1000
My sponsor will pay £4000.
To the above question what's the correct answer?
Asking cos I've seen refusal letters here where the ECO would say 'you stated that your contribution is only £1' and still use the account statement provided to say applicant's financial circumstances in home country is not good enough |

Amedak: So, you mean someone can get married at any marriage registry in Nigeria? Thank you. Ikoyi is a federal marriage registry. Any other marriage registry in Lagos are state or Local government registry. Reason why almost every one marrying comes down to Ikoyi. I don't know if that if embassy rejection is through, but I just stared the difference between Ikoyi and other marriage registries https://ecitibiz.interior.gov.ng/marriage/registriesThere are only 7 Federal Marriage Registries in Nigeria |

I can see a lot of ignorance.
Those who can read are blaming NNPCL and FG
Dangote is a business man and he has no intention of subsidizing anything or helping anyone.
Has he ever sold Cement cheaper than Large and BUA?
That Monopoly thing is real. NNPCL knows what they're saying about Dangote. |

Anyways, reach out to opay and also get a lien order from the court on such account. You might be lucky.
Next time be more attentive when making transactions! You're the one not attentive. He's the recipient, not sender. The sender is supposed to verify before proceeding to send. |

somebody1: Thank you ma! It is my first attempt. 1. The monthly salary is not constant, in fact at times I earn more than 400k per month. I get most of it in cash from clients. All these I explained in my cover letter which was not considered. 3. Although I am not married, but I have a fiance, my dad and my dad's properties which I am personally managing. I explained all these in my cover letter and even provided evidence. In fact I even provided my current practicing dues receipt to show that I am active in practice. 4. My sister was happy to sponsor my trip because of what she is currently going through( she needed me around as a mother figure for a short period just so she can have comfort after the recent death of our mum) I explained this also in my cover letter. 5. When do you think I should reapply? ECO not convinced you'll return to Nigeria No strong ties |

This advert was back in the 80s. This particular advert was around 1988 to around 1992, when Ibrahim Babangida was president, and you can see men going crazy too as of then in skits/adverts
Whatever is happening now on our screens started years ago, but was moderate |

snowphunmee: Good day all, please I need your advice. Myself and my siblings, all four of us, intend to sponsor our mum’s trip to the UK. In filling out the form, we have stated our names as the sponsors. Should we all submit our bank statements, or should we transfer the funds to our mum’s account before submitting the visa application? All four of you can if you do wish I've joined other sponsors too and the application was a success to sane UK with all of submitting our statements |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by davodyguy: 10:24pm On Jun 06, 2024 |
Cashmadam: Four sponsors for what exactly? You will cause unnecessary confusion! Three people should transfer their contribution to the fourth person and then the fourth person will act as the sponsor. Count six months from the day after the money was transfered. Don't transfer money to your Mum's account It doesn't matter. Even entire community can sponsor one person if they so wish If you're spending ₦2m and each if her kids decide to out in ₦500k, nothing bad in that |
