Esss: THE GLORY OF GOD HAS DEPARTED FROM THE SUPER EAGLES OF NIGERIA maybe he got tired of being used as a cover for our government ineptitude and fire-brigade approach to tournaments. I'm sure the Ivorians are also praying to God . . . perhaps He has chosen to pitch His tent with the serious. |

stranger26: Dawid: I don't need to take my husband's name for people to know I'm married. Won't he be introduced to them? And if it matters so much to strangers, why don't they follow me home to check the marriage contract? That's the problem with Nigeria; people want to know what doesn't concern them in any way at all! So yeah, if they see me and my husband, let them come up to me and ask for proof of marriage since my name will obviously be different to his! Pretty much i'd advice you to stick to issues where you can at least make some sense. Nigeria is not the only nation where married women pick up their husband's name after marriage . . . like Kobe said . . . Nigerians did not invent the term "maiden name". If you dont want to take up ur husband's name then dont, no one is forcing you. Your mother took up ur father's name . . . ask her if she did it because of strangers as proof of marriage. This topic and the replies are just ridiculously silly. |

stranger26: If you found the perfect wife BUT she decides not to take your name you won't marry her? I mean no offense but it sounds very silly and puerile to me. This whole whinning aka "argument" is silly, puerile and petty to me. Women change their names not because men force them to as a sign of ownership but because the women see it as a symbol of marriage and pride. Souljagirl: aisha2, thanks for pointing that out to him. you've saved me the trouble. see him jumping to conclusions without even getting his facts right? its between a man and his wife how they both decide which names to go by. i'm not saying that there are some women out there who oppose it. everyone has their own preferences. it's just that the way men go about it like its by force to bear his name, that's what i don't like. if a woman wants to keep her maiden name and add yours to the end of it, by all means let her. what else do you want? hope you get that, D_D You goofed. I deliberately ignored aisha2's comment earlier on . . . It is common knowledge that here in the US a lot of women adopt their maiden names as middle names names after marriage while adopting their husband's name as their new surnames. Something both of you erroneously overlooked in your haste to make me look wrong is the plain fact that Hillary does NOT use Rodham-Clinton which would have been the case if she wanted to maintain her maiden name as part of her surname. She uses Clinton ONLY as her surname on all official documents. Dont be in a haste to make others look stupid, sometimes it merely exposes your own paucity of knowledge. |

olabowale, your penchant for meaningless analogy is stuff of legends. olabowale: @D_D: If there is a single Christian in hellfire, then the redemption that you stated above is only a fluke! pilgrim.1 answered this very succintly. Let me add though that there will be some in hell who are "official" christians. True children of God, born again and filled with the Holy Spirit have no business in hell. olabowale: Then tell me, what is the fate of Adolf Hitler, a Protestant? What is the fate of Mussollini, a Catholic? Are they going to hell or paradise? Remember that they both believed in the 'death,' which you used as your foundation of spiritual death/sin redemption. those are examples of "official" christians . . . it is not the label that is important but that your heart is right with God. Anyone can label himself a christian. olabowale: So the 1/3 of your god, the holy spirit part, is a personality that is 'simply there as a guide and is only available to those who have accepted the sacrifice of the cross,' so tell me again what happens to Hitler and Mussollini? Afterall, they could not have been Christians except that they accepted the 'sacrifice of the cross?' Since the holy spirit must have been available to these major world figures, yet they acted so evilly, is the holy spirit not supposed to guide to goodness? How can they have holy spirit available to them, yet they were that terrible? you're trying so hard to be disingenous but it is only exposing ur inability to reason. By their fruits you shall know them . . . since neither musolinni and hitler showed any of the fruits of the spirit such as love, peace and longsuffering, it is safe to declare that they did not have the Holy Spirit. |

@ ricadelide and pilgrim.1 . . . Dāwīḏ is the hebrew form of David olabowale: @Dawd: Tell me Mr. Dawd, if Muhammad made a statement about 1400 years ago, concernig Sky scrapers, did you know what are of the world he spoke about? Have you seen the sign in that area of the world, before you are conningly passing up Pyramid as part of the 'sky scrapers?' Go back and read the hadith again before you lied up the Nairaland board, dawd! You liar, mohammed said NOTHING about skyscrapers . . . that was inserted by decietful islamic "scholars" with the intent to mislead. Mohammed claimed "very tall buildings" . . . you know very well that a pyramid and the tower of babel fall into the category of "very tall buildings". olabowale: @D_D: You missed the mark by a good part of a mile there. The muslim, said in his entry that people begin to believe stars. If that means worship for you or the christian, that good. But the truth is that it is only half truth. You forgot 'the people who go to the astrologist, and the psychics and finally, we see sections in the papers where daily horoscopes are read religiously. Afterall, Mrs Nancy Reagan consulted Astrologists and psychics, through out her husband' presidency, after the episode of Mr. John Hinckley Jr. went to Washington. The leader of the free world was led around by a woman who is consulting Gepsies! Yet America is a Judeo-Christian nation. Think man, think my brother. There were astrologers during bible times . . . astrologers where mentioned in Exodus and Daniel. Get your facts right. |

ismailys: i will be waiting for you to post what your BIBLE has to say about the events of the ENDTIME. and lets compare it with the above statements Did you address ANY of my concerns as regarding islam's idea of "events of the ENDTIME"? When did "endtime" creep into islamic doctrine? mdsocks: Davidylan,
He listed what the Koran says abut the end time for us to have a rethink and fear the Day of Judgement.
If you need to verify anything you could do so by creating another thread and blurt out as [s]"imps" or "effetes' "[/s] another sign of islam's culture of dishonesty. Did you address A SINGLE one of my concerns as regarding islam's version of the endtime? More than half of the so-called "events of the endtime" are false, how can you base your fear of the judgement day on false information? Here is one example: * Very tall buildings will be built; (sky scrappers)If this is a "sign of the endtime" then is it possible that we have been in the "endtime" for the last 6000 yrs? The Egyptians built one of the tallest structures on earth, the pyramids . . . is that part of the endtime? You people expose your paucity of knowledge every moment you try to skirt around such important contradictions. |
