AntiZikist:No vex sir. You're right. |
Ever8090:If that Doc shows you hunting bills after his life, you'd be shocked. Sincerely running hospitals is not beans. By the time you begin the work and you start to pity people by doing charities, by the time hunger and bills set in, and ingratitude of some patients (major thing), cos some could be so mean, na that time the doc go begin to think say nobody gets this monopoly of craze na, and na that time folks go begin blame am. Abeg docs dey try. |
Remember that the doctor too has bills to settle. It's not easy everywhere. |
Hezzyluv:Oga mi sir. Don't be angry or displeased sir. Maybe we could connect to talk more sir. |
Before doing most things, it's better to calculate the end and the means, see if the means guarantee the end and if the end is another beginning to another means. The resource is scarce so must be maximized when one gets it. May God help her in all ramifications. |
Na so jealously dey take dey start ![]() |
![]() Lolz. Omo na everybody go refund including the anti protest protesters who are also protesting ![]() I think people just want a better life after all either by confrontation or made to saboteur. The pitiest are the brainwashed, nothing in the end for them expect the one that trickles down from confrontation ![]() |
make hin no be the thing go turn public anger and as everyone gather there, protest fit start from that side fess. Make dem no use their hands ignite the thing ![]() |
![]() The country seems to be like a theater. Our politicians are the cast and the common men, the spectators on whose wealth and sweat it was built. The spectators pay to watch the play but do not have power of say, they do not write the story but they could watch and enjoy the play, laughing at the course of it or just be indifferent about it. The cast write a story to suit their explanations, suit other cast and to protect their enterprises in the theater. ![]() |
This man is a crazy politician and he is a good example of if life throws cassava at you, make garri out of it. He's not only making garri but akpu, tapioca etc. If PDP no give am presidency, APC go make am stay limelight with enough attention wey him wants. His political career is unconventional with the regular politicians. Let's see how it ends. |
I am really sorry about everything as no one should have experience of what your sister or everyone around her is currently passing through. My advice: 1. Proper and adequate medical help should be sought after preferably in neuropsychiatry hospitals e.g there is one around your axis and that's in Enugu or you could make use of tertiary healthcare facilities around you like the teaching hospitals, the FMCs if need be, they might refer you to the Neuropsychiatry hospitals. You can make your research on others with good facilities and human resources too. Do it quietly so that unnecessary attention wouldn't be attracted to your family by this issue 2. Seek God's help. Continue to pray. Effective and fervent prayer. Please don't joke with this as it would make everything easier for everyone, including the medical experts 3. Do not provoke her. Do not in any way argue with her. In the med school, during my CSS, that was one important thing I learnt. Just concur with the things she says or wants and don't tense her. 4. I leave more advice to our elders on this forum |
sleek214:Yes. That's because they earn more and have higher purchasing power than the masses. They could afford basic needs of life and their alternatives while the masses, the common man can't even afford the basic needs not alone their alternatives. You talk of healthcare, the common man is not even able to afford it not alone its alternatives of seeking it outside Nigeria and you talk of food, even that electricity, have you even gotten enough money to foot the bill not alone purchasing a generator, if you get the Gen, what about the fuel? How do you get that bill settled again, even it's maintainance too! How do you afford these things? Now look at the transportation too, legedis Benzes have taken over etc, so how would all these things not affect the common man when they seize to be. These are what the common man, the common worker is fighting for, to be affordable or we have enough purchasing power to buy them, enough money. If at least we can't get the alternatives, please let getting the basic ones be affordable. Like damn, how could a cup of beans be sold for N400? If I recharged 1k for my 24-hrs light here in my crib, if I no manage am well, the second day I fit cry, cos the thing be like gas We gat change things for this country |
The cost of foodstuff alone is enough to warrant this strike aside minimum wage. This is too much! |
Pastorjohn2:It not over yet and giving up wouldn't solve anything, instead the energy and passion should be channeled into smashing the resits. When the only option is progress, the only way becomes forward then failure turns to stepping stone. In my class of about 60 students, just 7 passed anatomy. 5 were on the pass list and the remaining 2 had issues because their scores were wrongly collated as they passed, in fact one of them should have had the highest score. Others now are strategizing on passing the resits (+ other subject(s) as affected). It's just one of those things in medical schools. Please let your only way be forward. |
Dr Uyi Iluobe a young Nigerian doctor, entrepreneur and an ordained minister with the Church of God Mission Ministries, was gruesomely murdered in his privately-owned hospital (Olive clinic) in the town of Oghara-eki by unknown assailants on the evening of 29th December 2022 while everyone was busy with end of year preparations. At a time when most doctors are dumping the country for greener pastures abroad those who stayed back are falling victims to the poor security situation of the country. Dr Uyi stayed back and established a clinic that provides care to the people of Oghara-eki. His knowledge has been a blessing to the host community as he is well known to the people whom he provides care with love and sense of duty. Sources close to the family have revealed exclusively that Dr Uyi has received numerous threats in the course of his selfless services either by patients who do not want to pay for services rendered or those who felt that he was a foreigner in the land and should offer free care to them by force. Few days before he was assassinated a gunshot victim was brought to the hospital and in following the laws, he advised that they would need to provide a police report while treatment is commenced but they rather insisted that the victim be treated off police notification. He refused and they took the gunshot victim away angry and furious On the day of the attack, he was in the consulting room with a patient (who is currently at large). The patient was said to have come in with severe pains and was being reviewed urgently without registration in medical records when suddenly the assailants came in and shot him dead. The lady (supposed patient) and the assassins left hurriedly in a car parked outside the hospital while other hospital staffs were all lying face down and in fear. This is the most gruesome manner to kill a doctor who places the wellbeing of the community he serves in high esteem. The body of the late doctor has been deposited in the mortuary while the security agencies are making efforts to fish out his killers. |
The update I ultimately give glory to God the master planner of all things. I paid today after the final deadline was given as stated in a memo to everyone. Technically, today was the deadline. I don't even understand, how to explain how all went but if there is someone somewhere reading this, please don't give up on God. Please don't give up on yourself. Don't give up too on your life. I will share the link to my linkdIn account where I would drop the story of all soon |
Payperboii:Boss, fight ke? Who I be to fight you. It is nothing though. Enjoy your night boss |
willybaby:Willybaby, thank you so much for your input. I won't lose hope and I will stand. Thank you. |
GboyegaD:So this could be possible too? That's fine then. Like which NGO because we don't have much around here... . And on Monday or Tuesday, I'd be on campus and see if this is acceptable. I'd get back to you once I've got the info. Thank you so much, Mr GboyegaD |
GboyegaD:Thank you Mr GboyegaD, I have tried reaching out to them and all but I didn't get favourable answers from them, even from those I never expected it from but I understand and sincerely I am not offended. If I'm in the position to do for them again, I will humbly and gladly do. As the common fact goes "it is easier to raise funds to bury people, than to raise funds to keep them alive" If you know any loan app, kindly let me know, I will share you my WhatsApp contact so we can talk and get a framework of how to go about it. Is one's future not worth giving all to? |
Payperboii:You are saying this as if you're so sure like you have been to the University and inquire yourself and you have been told that's how it is. Which university did you attend, if I may ask? That it happens in the University you attended doesn't mean that is how it happens in other universities. I graduated from the ....and I know well that in... you don't have to pay school fees before you defer. All you have to do is defer after paying acceptance fee. Does that happen in UNN? No, other universities, I'm not sure. You wouldn't even have a matric number until you pay school fees in some schools and some schools you have matric number after paying acceptance fee. I trained myself at the University... not only that, I added to other people's school fees, which I am humbly happy I did. And I still remember that the only reason I never attended OAU was because I never had 20k in 2013, AAUA 28k 2013, UI 34k in 2014. But in 2015 I was able to afford all. I understand what it takes to suffer bitterly, what it takes to rise and what it takes to endure and what it takes to be fully responsible, what it takes to strife. So, I that I've gone through these, do you think I'd hesitate to defer if it is possible for me to at the school? I bet you I wouldn't hesitate and won't even bother to ask about loan apps. Even if I get the loan from online financial institutions (apps), I'd pay interest on it so why would anyone wants to borrow me that and I wouldn't add interest if fair enough? Do you know why it is painful to me? Just only if the school resumption could have waited till December. 11th Nov., Is the deadline, just some days People who know me understand. If I borrow 1k from you, I'd sure put something on top while repaying. Life is taking and giving. It is transaction. Boss, presumptions have scattered many lives and shattered many dreams. |
IamAsiri:11th November, 2022. Boss, I never knew you'd be seeing this. Thank you so much for your concern, this means a lot to me |
ibechris:Thanks boss for your input. If you talk of church, well that would have been that of the old days. You know how it is now If you talk of village, that would have been the kind of village where everyone is homogeneous and everyone is not trying to hide their heads for safety. If you talk about family loan. Lol. That's for someone who still have close relatives and you know how the story goes for distance relatives. Boss, there's no secret anywhere, my grandparents ... one is incapacitated and not able to use his legs and the other one is trying to run for her safety. My father was a....... Graduated from from one of the prestigious unis in Nigeria, and died 25 years ago. I take responsibility for my life and don't blame anyone but just hold fast to God. I finished secondary school ..and it took my 3 years to safe enough to be able to afford 100L which is usually the most expensive at the University I graduated from. Check my previous threads, I worked. And I don't even have any plans of cleaning this one too. I have nothing to hide and this serve as diary for me in the nearest future which I can use to raise hope for people. If you want to lend me boss, there is nothing I think I should hide from you. We can try to see how to work things out in order to secure your doubts and see me and see that your fund is fully refunded. This is my real account here. Many people that I have worked for, worked for me and worked with are all here. Check all my threads and comments. I wouldn't use a moniker because I understand that there is nothing always to hide. We've all used to still passing through a challenge. So boss, I am with you. If I can save this 100L at the moment, forget about the rest. |
okoIYAyin:There are schools who do this. I couldn't believe it myself until someone told me UNN does same too |
Graduate2015:Medicine and Surgery boss |
Payperboii:Thank you for your input boss. I have paid my acceptance fee already and before one can defer, you will have to pay the school fees. Do you see this is not something to work with. The issue I have in my plan is wrong timing. Even, if I'm able to obtain the loan, I can pay once by December or better still pay monthly as the case may be. And that's why I'm seeking how to go about it considering the option of online lenders like loan apps and so on |
Good day everyone, I'd just go straight to the point and mod, I don't know if I'm doing this in the right session but I just believe I'd get reviews from experienced people from the family session. I recently graduated from the University but for my long life dream of becoming a medical doctor, I just found a way into the medical school having gone through many hurdles because I would have studied Medicine earlier but money denied me. The issue I'm facing now is that, I've been doing businesses and working for some time now (you can check my previous threads here) and I have been saving towards my aspiration. I entered a 6 month savings contract with a company which would be completed by December and with some help coming from my mum, I have saved quite some cash already (close to 600k). Thinking ASSU would resume towards December this year and January we would resume school and I was told 6 months was the minimum I could do. ASSU strike has been called off and my university is trying to rush things and all. I contacted the company and I was told no matter what I do, I would only be given the money by December that that was the contract. Right now, registration is closing soon and I've got about 150k with me and my school fees is about 380k app.. I can pay 50k out monthly monthly without much problem. If I see 200k, I would know how to go about the rest and A friend advised me to consider the option of online loan and bank loan (nothing favourable is even coming from those people). Elders, My enquires are that: Which of these online loan institution would be good for me and how do I go about it? Is there any other option available apart from these. I need wisdom please and don't want this opportunity to go just like that. Thank you all. |
Tommymoses:Dear Mr. Tommymoses, Have you confirmed her admission on the portal? If yes, kindly give her the necessary support. Concerning the session of admission, as it is now the trend due to strikes and COVID-19, the session currently run by the ODEL might be 2019/2020. If you've confirmed truly that the admission is genuine on the portal with her login details, kindly give her the necessary support. Warm regards. |
I know ODEL admission has been opened in UI quite some weeks but whether the list is out is what I do not know. Since you can use a phone and internet, just collect her login details and sign in into the ODEL portal of UI. You can use Google and be fast about it so that you don't deny her her chance. And note that the admission is not the regular ones through JAMB but I heard bit didn't confirm it that ODEL also go for NYSC too |
JokwaNwannem:Do the above and let's see what happens. I suspect sebaceous adenitis or some kind of viral infection |
Give us a full body picture (from left to right) of the affected ones |
JokwaNwannem:Hello, These manifestations could be as a result of a lot of diseases, for examples: Bovine ringworm (deworm), streptotrichosis(antibiotics and other injections), sebaceous adenitis(it doesn't worth the treatment except they are pet, in short no cure) and looking at the present weather, there could be rain scald etc but irrespective of all, they will need proper medical attention which include injecting them. Things to note: 1. Separate the ill ones from the healthy ones and make sure that any body fluid (pus from the scald(sore, open skin), blood, urine, saliva(separate feeders and water through), including faeces of the ill ones is not accessible to the healthy ones 2. The oil might not help much except the goats are having sebaceous adenitis and if you must apply it, proper hygiene is required to make sure that the hand you used to touch the sick ones are not used on the healthy ones 3. Do not give them oral antibiotics (this is detrimental to goats) as in no go force them to swallow antibiotics wey human being dey use except a proper veterinary evaluation permits it in the course of treatment 4. As per say you no get vet store or service around you, buy multivitamins put inside their drinking water for 7days. Buy levamisole, put one tablet inside rap of garri or fufu (cold one), give the goat to eat, twice a day (12hrs apart) for three days, repeat again after 7 days from the end of the three days (this will deworm them in a broader way(stomach, skin etc) And be thankful, this is Africa and everything is deep, the diseases sent against someone in the family might bounced or as well bounced on the goats (spiritualist will broaden this) |
