Thanks! I have done it. I will be using the default settings cos every cell I've locked none was as fast as the default.

So i carried out speed test and i realized that using fast...com website and the speed test app, i get 2 different results. Image attached, most apps functions well except for WhatsApp , viewing status lags a lot.

That's the problem I have with the ZTE, if you are having 3CA before, then after locking you will see it reduce to 2 or even 1, so if you are unlucky to lock a strong data cell, you will have reduced network speed, but the ZLT still maintains the 3CA throughout most of the day. Go to developer setting under your router page, input your password and reset it.
Just look at the PCI in both pictures, the ZLT had 3 while the ZTE had 2. And it's usually like that for most part of the day

Thanks boss I've applied the ones i saw. I observed i can no longer see other PCI since i locked. Can i know how it can be reset back to normal. For some reason the PCI i locked doesn't get close to 40mbs.

Pick one of the PCI and it's corresponding frequency number, in your own case it can be 7, 3256. Then lock it using the 5gbenchmark cell locking script, then check the speed. Keep trying the different PCI/frequency numbers and whichever give you the best speed. Lock it and keep.
For the cell locking, read the previous 5 pages, you should find how to do it or check the guy page for video and website tutorials
Personally I prefer the ZLT because of its ease of LTE cell locking and it also has a better carrier aggregation

Bro please I'm using the ZTE G5F MF296A model and the ODU page 192.168.254.1 . Picture below is what I'm getting as PCI and it is only displayed on the 4G section as the 5G has no data. How do i test the cell locking script because during the day i usually have slow speeds especially weekend can't stream flawlessly but once is night speed gets back to normal.

I downloaded cell mapper but didn't use it.....go into the ZTE odu page, write out the list of PCI and EARFCN you can see, they might be more depending on your environment. Lock them one by one by inputting them into the cell locking script prompt, confirm and test the speed, whichever one gives you the best speed, lock it and that's it. I was getting ranging from 5mbps to 20mbps. Sinnce I lock a particular cell, i have been having consistently excellent internet speed with good ping

Was the selector in the 15v or 24v when you tried it?

15v then i switched to 24v still nothing.

I just got it installed, today is my 3rd day. My observation so far. From my location lagos, i noticed the network is really poor during the day i can barely get 1mbs but once is evening i start to get the 30 to 40mbps plus consistently. Only the first time it was installed i got that speed during the day.

I tried this POE i used for my former router that has an ODU just like this Airtel, but i was surprised it couldn't power the radio, cos the indicator was just red. What can we use as power bank ?

Yes! I'm suspecting this. Mine was installed 2days ago and it was blazing with 45mbps but the next day it started struggling to climb 1.5mbps. i experienced the same thing with my 5G router. Worked well for 1 month then subsequent months was terrible 😔

Did you just installed yours? Because i noticed yesterday it was installed and speed blazing, but today is been slow. I'm just suspecting same experience with the 5G router will repeat itself with this ODU too. The speed is not sustainable.

It'll be very hard for Airtel to have a reliable network i swear. Just last night after installation i was enjoying steady 40mbps, but Saturday that i want to stream live football match, I'm seeing kbps.

Please how do i access the dashboard of Airtel ODU. i want to see the data I've consumed so far but i can't with the ip number the installer gave me it doesn't have options for that.

I had same issue. After payment during registration found out i have 4 sims linked to my NIN, the small Airtel shop wasn't able to fix it. They took me to a proper Airtel head office, the dude that attended to me asked if i needed Internet urgently that i can make another payment so he'll bypass it from his end while they process my refund. Refund will take 2wks. I paid again and got registered properly. They just installed mine and is working perfectly well.

From the Airtel office they can actually delist number you don't use also.

Let them take you to Airtel proper office.

Note: the second payment wasn't done by link but i paid directly to their pos with the same airtel name

However, my registration went smoothly until the final stage, where my NIN was rejected. The system claimed I’ve already used up the four Airtel slots linked to my NIN, and that I would need to provide another person’s NIN to proceed.
I’m not sure what else to do at this point.

So yesterday i paid for my ODU and was shown my device, i even connected to it because the guy wanted to brag about the speed of the ODU after I complained to him about the poor network of the 5G router. But unfortunately i got connected and the speed was showing 200kbps during speed test. The guy felt disappointed and started putting calls only to find out they had a network downtime that moment. I left the office without seeing the speed in mbps. I just pray i don't have the same experience with this ODU , i have really suffered with their 5G router. I'm supposed to get my installer today. I'll be hoping he comes to install it ASAP.

I use up to 500gb or more on the 5G router and this would have been more but because of the poor network from that router. Now i feel like if this ODU is stable i would be hitting this same 1TB and i hate slow network. Airtel should have just announced it has FUP. Thank God is just 25k e for vex me.

Guys, I have bad news for heavy data users. After using 1TB of data, my speed has been capped at 2Mbps. I have restarted severally to see if it would change, but it's hard-capped.

The device was installed on the 30th September, the last day of September. If you look at the screenshot below, you will see that I have used 980GB this month. It's not including the data I used on the 30th September, which would have indicated the entire 1TB.

I had hoped that this would not happen. It's clear to me that this is not for me. I typically use up to 2TB per month on my Starlink. I'm 100% sticking to Starlink, nothing comes close to it in this country. If 1TB is a lot for you, then this is good for you. The speed was consistent throughout the period I used it until I hit the 1TB.

When you say router are you talking about this new ODU or the 5G router?

Thank you for your advice, i dey their office like this, but to register is even a problem, they're saying network is not allowing them to trigger the otp that should be sent to me for payment. Inside Airtel office network sef they worry them.

what network provider does that in Nigeria? Why procrastinate if you have the money since you confirmed it yourself that it's good. Is it until they increase the price then you start to regret? Do you know how much the Fastmile is being sold now in the market, a device that Airtel gave out for free about a year ago? Presently this is my second ODU, i bought another one instead of subscribing for a new month since it's free. You had better wake up and do the needful

I want to buy this ODU since is cheaper and has more bandwidth than the 5G router. But can't i return the 5G router in exchange for the ODU? the 5G router is really frustrating.

you didn't lie bro. 3 weeks ago i had a similar issue. I requested they transfer my call to a supervisor. I poured out my mind and right on the call, the supervisor escalated my issue, told me to hold on then finally he requested i reboot my ODU and see the Magic! It worked right there on the call. I seized the opportunity to plead with the man to help use his influence to get us 5G in my area. He said he'll try. Last week, he called me while at work that 5G is live in my area. I couldn't wait to get home and boom.... 5G was live for real on my Router. The format works 💯

Hello guys. Please i have an issue and I'll like to know if anyone jas experienced it before and how they solved it.

So i bought a brand new redmi note 14pro+ 5G transferred all my data from my old Redmi note 11 pro to the 14. Everything works fine, but i noticed if the note 14pro+5G stays idle for few hours without touching it the sim network signals disappears and can only return if i reboot or do a data network reset. I have bought this same phone twice from different vendors and is still the same issue.
