The greatest casualty of selective justice is the integrity of the game. If suspensions can be set aside for some while others serve theirs, then the World Cup risks becoming a competition where influence matters more than the rules. FIFA must remember that its greatest responsibility is not to any individual or nation, but to the fairness and credibility that millions of football fans cherish. |

This is exactly how influence gets misused. When public figures normalize violence and speak without restraint, it sends the wrong message to millions who look up to them. Stardom is not a license for indiscipline. Global star, local mindset. You can’t be representing Africa on the world stage and still be glorifying street fights like it’s an achievement. |
Business › Re: Dangote Sugar Warns Staff On Chewing Of Company Sugarcane by Dbakre1: 4:57pm On Apr 09 |
Your argument is based on individual reasoning, but workplace policies are built on collective behaviour. One person’s ‘little’ becomes a systemic problem when normalized across hundreds. That’s exactly how disorder starts. saintopus: Imagine the yeye memo! How much sugar cane can a staff chew? If they are avoiding the dirtiness of the environment from chewing the sugar cane that will be OK. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Chris Oyakhilome Declares Stance On US-Israel vs Iran by Dbakre1: 7:17pm On Mar 29 |
Oga sir, Modern Israel is not biblical Israel, thousands of years separate them. History alone doesn’t give a modern state the right to displace people. Palestinians are not “migrants.” Many have lived there for centuries, long before 1948. Exile of Jews by Rome does not erase the rights of current inhabitants. Justice and coexistence, not simplistic “leave the land for Jews” is the only path to peace. ekineme: Which modern day Israel? Go and study history, how the Romans capture Jerusalem, how the Jews was taken captives. So because their homeland was destroyed, they shouldn't return when they have the opportunity?
The Palestinians you talked about, are they not Arab migrants? Why can't they go back and leave the Jewish land for the Jews? |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Chris Oyakhilome Declares Stance On US-Israel vs Iran by Dbakre1: 6:51pm On Mar 29 |
With due respect Oga Pastor sir, this message mixes faith with politics in a misleading way. Modern Israel is not the same as the biblical Israel of Jesus Christ. One is a modern state while the other is a spiritual reality. Confusing both leads to wrong conclusions. Yes, Israel faces real threats from Iran, but that does not erase the suffering and rights of the Palestinians. This is not a one-sided story. Calling opposing views “satanic” or “foolish” doesn’t make them wrong, it only shuts down truth and honest discussion. The gospel is not about defending a nation or state, but about justice, truth, and humility. We must be careful not to use Scripture to justify modern political positions. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: U.S Lifts Sanctions On Iranian Oil In Effort To Stabilize Markets by Dbakre1: 11:35am On Mar 21 |
And u think Iran isn't aware of Trump's game? Let's wait and see how it goes SpencerForbes: The truth is that this move is a massive trap for Tehran. The US is basically using Iran's own head to break coconut by weaponizing their own oil against them.
By letting those 140 million barrels hit the market at once, they are intentionally crashing global oil prices. The goal is simple: strip Iran of those high-profit margins they were using to fund their "runs" and operations.
It’s a cold "format" because the waiver only covers old stock already on ships, not new production. Iran isn't gaining any new market share or long-term contracts here. Even China’s "sweet deal" is dead now that they have to compete with Japan and India—the "distress discount" Iran was using to keep their allies happy has effectively evaporated.
Worst of all, while the oil is moving to keep global fuel prices stable, the money is still trapped. Financial systems are still on lockdown, so the revenue is basically "Audio Money" sitting in accounts Tehran can't touch.
Basically, the US is taking the oil to kill global inflation while keeping the pressure on Iran exactly where it is. Masterstroke. |
