When terrorism and kidnapping of school children was only restricted to the north, they were everywhere asking for the head of Jonathan, did everything to get him out.

Today the same terrorism and kidnapping is not only in the north but right inside their own domain taking even up to their kings and children and there is calmness, silence, in fact a number of them are even asking for third term for Tinubu.

So I ask what was Jonathan's offense to them?

Secondly, if you want know the level of hypocrisy going on, let's sincerely ask ourselves, the people among them who tell a certain people : go back to your region or attack them during election for mere unverified statement, why are they not shouting that the people committing all these offenses in their land and killing up to their kings to go back their region?

Is there something more to this going on?

Just for second imagine if it were the people who are from that region they tell to go back were the people committing all these crimes in their region and even killing their kings.

This is a good development. I will encourage all our billionaires in South-South region to emulate Azikiel and invest heavily in oil and gas. They shouldn't leave it for Dangote and BUA alone. There are opportunities in the region that can bring massive employment to the youths in the region.

Violence has erupted in Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, following protests against the controversial coronation of an Igbo traditional ruler, with demonstrators torching vehicles and looting shops owned by foreign nationals.

The protests, led by members of ActionSA alongside traditional leaders and local residents on Monday, were initially staged in opposition to what organisers described as a violation of the province’s sovereignty, constitutional order and recognised traditional leadership structures.

However, tensions escalated rapidly in KuGompo City, where the demonstrations turned violent, forcing police to intervene and disperse crowds, according to SABC News.

Video evidence on X indicated that protesters set several vehicles and buildings allegedly belonging to foreign nationals on fire while security forces intensified efforts to restore order.

“Protesters have torched vehicles and buildings allegedly belonging to foreign nationals in protest against the installation of a Nigerian king in the Eastern Cape,” Newsroom Afrika reported.

Similarly, CDR Africa said the unrest reflected growing outrage over the coronation, with foreign-owned properties becoming primary targets.

The situation further deteriorated, with eNCA reporting that violence turned deadly after a stabbing incident allegedly involving Ethiopian shop owners.

At least two people were taken to the hospital for treatment, while several vehicles were destroyed in the chaos.

ActionSA’s Eastern Cape chair, Athol Trollip, reaffirmed the party’s opposition to the coronation in East London, describing it as unlawful and inconsistent with South Africa’s traditional leadership framework.

He said the party stood firmly with recognised traditional authorities, insisting that due process must be followed in matters of cultural and traditional governance.

Some protesters issued stark warnings, vowing to escalate resistance if authorities fail to address their concerns.

One demonstrator reportedly said residents were prepared to “take up arms” if the matter remained unresolved, while others called for the deportation of Nigerians linked to the coronation.

The protesters had earlier marched through parts of the province demanding immediate government intervention, warning that failure to act could trigger further unrest. [/b][b]

Let's hope this will restore peace back into the party. If they get it right by this move, I see them using their strong bases all over the country to reclaim their number one position as the leading opposition party in Nigeria

A 30 tons of reinforcement is NGN 36,000,000.00. Cost of hiring equipment per day ranges from 56,000 to 300,000 per day. Diesel cost is 1,100.00 per litre and one equipment consumes at least 200 litres per day. Daily labour rates varies from region from 3,500 to 8,000 per day. Community settlements, the nature of soil, and other factors needs to be taken into consideration. 185 students bag first class at Redeemer’s University

Redeemer’s University, Ede in Osun, says it will be graduating no fewer than 1,341 undergraduates during its 17th convocation ceremony, with 185 bagging first-class honours.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Shadrach Akindele, disclosed this while addressing a news conference to mark the 17th ceremony and the 20th anniversary of the institution on Monday in Ede.

Akindele also said that 662 graduating students would be awarded second-class upper degrees, 410 with second-class lower degrees, 79 with third-class degrees, and 5 with pass degrees.

The VC said that a total of 1,341 students would be graduating during the convocation ceremony slated for Oct. 9.

He said that the best graduating student, Joel Durigbo, Department of Mechanical Engineering, achieved a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 5.0.

Akindele also said 338 students would be awarded higher degrees and diplomas at the postgraduate level on Oct.10.

According to him, 109 students will be awarded postgraduate diplomas, 65 with Master of Arts degrees, 120 with Master of Science degrees, 25 with Master of Business Administration degrees, and 19 with Doctor of Philosophy degrees.

“This year’s convocation is particularly special. We are not only graduating another distinguished class, ‘The Indomitable Set,’ but we are also celebrating 29 years of Redeemer’s University.

“Indeed, this is a season of double honour, and we return all glory to God,” he said.

Akindele listed people to be awarded honorary degrees during the convocation ceremony, including the wife of a former governor of Kwara, Omolewa Ahmed, and the president of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Mike Bamiloye.

He also said the Group Managing Director of Sahara Group, Kola Adeshina, would be awarded honorary degree.

“On academic achievements, the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has selected the university as one of the eight private universities in the country for the training of TETFund-sponsored candidates for postgraduate degrees.

“This is a very remarkable feat, especially considering that there are 168 private universities in Nigeria at the moment,” the VC said.

Akindele also said the university had entered the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking and emerged number two in the country and number one in several Sustainable Development Goals, among others.

Regionalism is the system of government that can bring giant development to the country. The fast pace development of the early 60s were the legacies we can point to today. Let each region take care of governance, security and economy of their regions and all regional leaders will no more be leaches on the federal government
