We were handling a project close to a major river in a south-south state and the villagers advised us that we should sacrifice to the goddess river before we embarked on the project. We ignored the warning and started the project. Less than a week, we lost 3 brand new equipment. Until we performed the sacrifice before the losses stopped. It is absurd to see hamas using children and women as shield and claiming that they can match up with Israel. The earlier they own up the better for them to stop further killings of innocent civilians. You are hiding in tunnels and coming out occasionally to attack and think that's how to with a war? As Israel had divided the strip into 3, it will make the job easier for them to destroy all the tunnels in the north, then relocate central Gazans to north before obliterating Hamas and their tunnels from central Gaza before moving to south. Madam, you should be thankful for having this good shape. Any attempt to use artificial method to increase in size or shape will have adverse effect on you. By the time you have 3 kids you will get the expected weight you want. Women are naturally blessed with added weight as they procreate. Even if you maintain this shape we are all seeing, you are still as take-away as your husband first met you. Don't fret on what is not an issue, maintain your current weight and you will thank us later |

The last time local contractors were recognised and well utilised was when MTN came to Nigeria. I will never forget the way such act revamped the country's economy. They handled most of the friendship centres, switch centres and base stations. The local contractors didn't disappoint. This is what happened when a party decided to force their wish on their people in contravention of their own constitution. PDP brought this upon themselves. APC suffered same fate in Zamfara 4 years ago, hence, PDP, as they refused to learn from history are now reliving history. The problems of our democracy are the politicians NOT the Judiciary. Judiciary will always interpret the law while politicians will always want to flout the law for their own selfish ambition. Thank you for this detailed write-up. I think all tiers of government must make it a duty bound to patronize our made-in-Nigeria cars. They must do away with the mentality of spending our scarce resources on imported vehicles. The legislators (though, not encouraging the promotion of made-in-Nigeria cars) must come up with a policy or law that will ban importation of new cars into the country, except when the local manufacturers will not be able to meet up with demands. Under Jawalhra Nehru in 1945 in India, He banned importation of textiles, one journalists then asked what will Indians be wearing if he bans importation of textiles, and Nehru answered, let all Indians go naked until they can produce their own textiles. Indians never went naked, and today, they have identity. Wherever you see Indians, you will see them in their own unique styles. Nigeria can do the same. But PDP had been ruling the state from 1999 till date. So why crying over what your party created? Don't detract people's attention from the failure of development recorded to date in the state. Yenagoa is a glorified local government headquarter not a state capital. No good roads and the water ways are not developed. You can't get clean water to drink in any part of the state and the electricity supply is nothing to write home about. Many streets in the small state capital does not have transformer to link them to national grid. Your party created the insecurity in the 1st place, and you must find solution to stop it |

Orits Wiliki was one of the best reggae musicians that came out of Nigeria. We enjoyed the vibes in late 80s spanning through 90s. Their songs really gave the military regime goose pimples. I saw them as the unsung heroes that fought the jackboots of military oppression through songs that paved way for the civilian rule in Nigeria 1 Like 1 Share |
