This is a beautiful question The truth is that some of this imported tomato paste are startch and tomato flavor If the prices are disame it's either dangote and erisco are over profiting from nigerians or the importers just want to sabotage our economy |

Congrats to all batch B stream1 on their successful POP
YAM is finally out in logo/zaki biam LGA of benue state. two weeks ago 10 tubers of yam was going for 700 naira. But somthing happened this wenesday market 10 tubers of yam was going 400/500. Info reaching me is that (association of yam buyers refused to come and buy due to excessive taxation). This made all the corpers batch B stream 1serving in these areas leave with nothing less than 30 tubers of yam (going for 1600). I cash in with 20 tubers of yam for 600.
This is good news for yam dealers and those intending to go into yam bussiness |

Business › Re: There Is Something Intriguing About Trading by dboss444: 7:24am On Sep 29, 2016 |
ituglobal: “In my experience trading takes a very important and somewhat rare personality trait which is: the ability to see the next logical step and to then get it done. If this ability is lacking you will always be behind.” – Garachen (Source: Elitetrader)
Why Is Trading a Good Money-making Vehicle? It’s a level playing field. Everybody is welcome. You don’t have a boss to control you. You need only a PC and Internet connection. You can make money whether the market goes up or down. The more experience you’ve, the better you become. The starting capital is minimal. You’ve great money management flexibility. You stay in control. You choose when to trade and when not to trade. Profits come naturally when you’re away from your system. You can coach others including your family members.
There Is Something Intriguing About Trading Most members of the public don’t believe they can trade successfully. They’ve been convinced that they can only give their money to professional funds managers to manage, without knowing that they can do this themselves. Your parents don’t have trading secrets to give you. Your school doesn’t have trading secrets to give you. The society don’t have the secrets to give you.
While there are pros who can manage your money successfully, it’s true that when you’ve correct trading methodologies and use them faithfully, you can even do better than the so-called pros in terms of percentage returns.
Forex trading is a good business, but many people don’t understand it. It’s controversial because the public opinions about it are unfair and warped. Most members of the public understand other types of business, save Forex.
There are ways to make small and consistent profits on monthly basis, which become considerable on annual basis. Since most people don’t have experience and others around them don’t have the knowledge, they’re afraid to get in. The reality is; successful traders are just normal people like me and you.
There are good trading systems you can use to make money, and those who use these systems aren’t smarter or better than you in any way. The only difference is that those who use good trading systems have the willingness to attain riches through discipline.
Conclusion: Trading is different from investing. As a trader, you buy and sell within days or weeks, but an investor may hold a position for months or years. The greatest market speculators are faithful to strategies that give them an edge. They stick to those strategies when they work and when they don’t work. I pray that your fortitude will not be shaken in trying times. Your true trading potential lies beyond your innate gifts.
The article is concluded by this quote:
“Trading is not a sin, but trading without knowing what you are doing can lead to a lot of problems. Trading, in and of itself, is not considered as gambling…. However, gambling is considered to be foolish. Trading without adequate knowledge of the markets and self is foolish because, by doing so, you are gambling… There is a certain amount of self-knowledge needed to choose the proper trading method.” – Andy Jordan

Having said this, I must say that the price of crude oil will pick up further in the next eighteen months. Although don't expect it to get to the $100 mark. And our feeble attempt at diversification (the rice industry comes to mind) will help save our much needed forex.
The wise ones are already investing. At the start of the second quarter, Dangote started building two 6MT/yr plants in Nigeria. I know of some industrialists that are putting plans in place to expand...I even had a talk one with one yesterday. You'd be amazed at the tons of information and optimism these guys possess.
I know there have been job cuts here and there, but look at the flip side, most industrialists are waiting on wings to make things happen from 2017 esp 2018...that's the year to watch out for!!! Please can you give us these information these industralist have so we young would be investors like us can see how we cn walk arround these info and please tell us specific sectors in our economy that would tk off from 2017 |

It is an insult to compare einstein with thomas edison, Einstein is a scientist (physicist). thomas is a technician(inventor). Thomas edision is popular today because american govt love capitalist bussiness people, thomas was a businessman he never invented the light bulb he only made it marketable even when JP morgan bought Edison light company he trashed out edison dc and used tesla AC current. There are many who has patents like edison. Don't ever compare them |

Please note that agric storage/hoarding is not a get rich quick scheme as there are risk involved, and if well mitigated and hedged; appreciable profit can be made. The only thing that sets you up for failure is greed when prices move north and you want to over maximize profit. I have sent pictures to your email uploading pics here is an issue. Tell us what you feel, u can upload it here on NL and let's discuss the price disparity. |

Olayimikami: We communicated.
Seems what you have available as sent is peeled egusi. While I haven't been able to confirm the bag size of the egusi, it sounds way too cheap to be realistic. However, this creates an opportunity for sale in Bwari, Abuja and environs if real as a modu of peeled egusi is N500 in some markets.
You may wish to post a pix of the sack here so we can ascertain the size and make market decision The price has gone up to 22,000 but for a modu to be 500 is so so expensive, but there are two types of peeled egusi we have the machine peeled and the hand peeled the hand peeled is more expensive but guy 500 per modu mayb the modu size is quite different. |

Blackkie: Innovation is the only answer. We need to shift to storage ideas that works in divers dimensions. Do you have innovative ideas on how to store food items apart from the normal method of storage |
Business › Re: STORAGE/HOARDING Bussiness Of Agriculture by dboss444(op): 6:19pm On Aug 29, 2016 |
Blackkie: You have the most needed info about agriculture here - storage! I think Nigeria must have surpassed food sufficiency years ago if there are standard storage infrastructure in the nation. Nearly all farm produce are in excess during its harvest time and scarce just few weeks later. What is sold as cheap items are actually items that are not stored for the future.
I will predict that the future agro-millionaires may came from storage of farm items. Innovation is another thing we lack. A cow is sold for about N60,000 up north but here in Lagos it goes for N130,0000.00 Anyone who will device a means of conveying butchered cows from the north to west is in money.
Egg are thrown away now for lack of buyers so also tomatoes, okro et al. Nice 1, you need to see how tomato sellers throw their tomato away whn nobody buyes, it's painful but I always wonder what we cn do about the situation |

Please state all cost including hidden and additional cost when quoting figures for markets specified.
How much is the cost per modu of egusi when measured? What is the size of the Modu been used in measuring? How many modu fills a sack? Can I bring my bagger along to measure so I ascertain quantity?

Agriculture › Re: Pig Farmers Lets Meet Here by dboss444: 7:07am On Aug 28, 2016 |
There is a place in Benue Nigeria where they rear pigs openly meaning the pigs are free to roam about, the pigs roam about and eat everything they see like grasses, grains even the people there digs holes outside their houses where children defecate (shit) so that pigs can eat it, Pigs are just everywhere and are big in size people only inject them sometimes, so I came up with the idea of selling these pigs to the eastern and western part of Nigeria where pigs don't roam the streets, cos the pigs here are very very cheap. |
