yeap n my agressive first sell in red n no shaking n its uj n not ej.Long term is it n tight sl can easily be taken wit d present striking
selling jpy pairs is like top/bottom picking and should only be done with strict mm and for 35-50pips scalping purpose only. Be there to monitor your trades else buy the retracements on negative EUR news. You dont wanna be fighting the market babes, do you? IMO though

fxisreal:

Thanks bro. the system dey vomit pips no be small, below was my last friday prediction, that i said once it touch the yellow line am out of the buy, the price touch and reverse truely like magic. anyway S/R is d best in this business better than all d system i have used in d past. i think sir infofirst and oga dboy use simiar things.

am still monitor the EC once it move near the yello line again i will Sell with d permission of price action. but if it brake it up which i doubt then i will wait for retrace back near/on the yello line to BUY.

still waiting for the EJ to go to 129.6xx leve to SELL , 20-30 pips above that wil be a very low risk sell. patient is d key yet to take 1st trade of d week. yeah! my eyes on 1.034x to LONG AU or Short it if brake the level down.

@bolded, The market is always speaking via PA, it's left for us to be sensitive, listen and cuddle it well so She can give us the $$$. Thats how I see PA. Simple as ABC.
Anyway, I took a Stab at this bi.tc.h on my 2nd Account where I trade slam every bit.ch.es pairs. She is vomiting them $$$ now. Lets see if today's NZD biz confidence would catalyze the id.io.t to my destination, afterall, the three babies are risk-free now. Where next to deploy capital na me I dey find. PA all the way.
Enjoy folks

Thanks Chief. It's strictly S/R for me. That's my edge! I'm getting very close to perfecting this edge(listening to the market) and my psychology and the rest becomes history.

dboy365: my love EJ! Even when I joined the party late...still trailing SL
quite painful because I cancelled buy stops at 120.25 like 2hrs before the huge spike. Anyway, lets see how it goes. hopefully, nfp would push it up more or bring it lower for me to get more in. Closed some trades high up for equity growth perhaps, they ve the potential to get stopped out on retracement. Are we seeing 127 before the weekend or break of it over the weekend (this is when I love gaps up grin grin grin). Anyway the story goes, I'm in some good $$$$$ already while letting other trades ATMs connect to BOJ for more free $$$. Goodluck guys.
By the way, I now trade EJ and EJ alone....bye bye to other pairs.

endfx1: Sober Reflections....where are the good old days?...you may ask grin grin one thing i will not stop doing is to keep track of my good trade pix to build confidence and bring me back to my senses when the going gets tough..

Pix like this reminds me of the fact that truly FOREX is for real and i have been there before, tasted it,felt it and now who says i can give up in times of challenges in the market? Never!

I quite remember when i used to double my account in just one week and sometimes tripple it before month end..

Some will say,"then the market was trending" hmmmmm that's not true! nothing has really changed in the market the point is when you refuse to stick to one pattern of trading that is always the conclusion at the end. CONFUSION & LOSES

So when i feel like getting discouraged perhaps coz of loses, i take time off to flip back to my diary to see how i was making it possible back then....about a month ago someone from this thread asked me a very sensitive question "Endfx how do you used to trigger such trades in those days with such confidence?" i can't remember any good responds i gave because personally i can't even tell were such confidence came from.....but i can remember vividly some of my principles back then...

1. I used to trade between 1st week and last week of each month...i noticed from my daily chart that's when the trend for the month is likely to begin.

2. I never went below 1hr time frame for my analysis and entries.

3. I take time to plan my trade and trade my plan i never use to fight the market trying to push it my way.

4. I know exactly when to stay off the market, sometimes in one whole week.RANGING Tinz shocked shocked

5. I strictly stick to my system no matter how bad the market is i always believed that just one week of trending market is enough for me to meet my target.

6. I pay less attention to news events becuase i believe as long as am in line with the trend it will either stop me at BE or go my way some more

Well, i thank God for pictures like this and for the wisdom to keep them coz it has always come to my rescure as to were am going wrong when it seems tough.

I want to believe this piece will bring back hope and confidence to someone out there that is about to quit...my 1cent is,

Spend time on yourself and discover your trading personality and when you do hold unto it tenaciuosly only then will you see the light.

This is not in anyway intended to show off anything learn a few things from the message and leave the rest."Wisdom is profitable to direct"

Wish you all happy easter may God bless us and add more pips to our pocket this coming month of APRIL...IJN
nice

naijababe: There's no right or wrong way to trade. Just know yourself and work on YOU!

I am naturally an impulsive and tempestuous person but I always want freedom and I don't like feeling cheated. If I take a position and make 20 pips out of a 200 pips move I feel grossly cheated, however, my impatience make me close the position within 20 pips because the market is not impulsive like me. So what I desire is in conflict with my nature. My natural disposition should be towards scalping but I also know that the other side of my nature will make me over trade.
My desire points me in the direction of being a swing trader but my nature makes me close positions early because the market is not impulsive like me, it will do what it wants to do!

So the way out for me is to pick my desire over my natural disposition because I think what a man desires will always overcome their nature, therefore, I had to work on getting a convergence of both my desire and nature.

Outside of the market place, I work on my impatient nature, I take things easy! I make a conscious decision to work on my temper, I bite my tongue when I want to rant at people. I shout into my pillow sometimes and I stand in my bathroom and take a dig at whoever or whatever in front of a mirror and most of all I learned to meditate.

Y'all will ask what all of these has to do with trading?!

Well,Trading is the only thing that will make you confront who you really are because it will accentuate all your good and bad habits. If you really want to succeed, you will have to confront and overcome yourself. It will be easier for some than others but it's your determination and commitment to your own success that will make you overcome YOURSELF.

We all like to think we are committed to our own success but we really aren't ?! Think about that folks.

@ Thread, my pending buy limit at 120.50 has been activated and currently now in the red by 10 pips. See y'all soon.

Like Naijababe said, welcome to trading. These people you see here have also crashed accounts. You just crashed one that is prolly around $200 and you want to give up. Personally, I crashed 5 accounts totalling over $5,000 before I got it right. Of course it will be hard for you if you don't have somewhere to get money from but yea you get the picture.
My advice will be for you to fund the account again with anything you can afford and get a system you will stick with through thick and thin. Then trade with microlots. Forget about living off the profits for now.
If you have the discipline, you'll turn that small money to large funds.
Some will disagree but trading live funds based on trade calls made by others is a recipe for disaster. It should be for crosschecking and nothing more.

Igwe OO: What a week!!! You toil up day and night, sleepless nights, draw up charts, read, study, analyse them. Riding on it, your efforts starts paying off positively, and your confidence soars, you see yourself hitting up 85% of your total equity....then b@ng!!! that mistake (over confidence), just that one, single mistake you are back to where you started before market open on Monday.#My story this week.

#I might not be making sense but Im just unloading my heavy heart the best way I know to, WRITING so I can feel better to trade the new week.

#Talking about World War III, I think we are already in the middle of it (Currency Wars). Every major currency wants to devalue there currency in order to boost export. Japan, seriously I pity them for coming out in the open to say this is strictly what we want to do. If they would actually achieve this feet, what happens to countries like Germany/China even USA that are also export driven? They wouldn't stay by the line and watch Japan render there export market unattractive. They'd fight back and certainly, they are now. A typical case is the Cyprus and how its currently driving Yen and other currencies in that region up. In my opinion, the Cyprus case is "scripted" by the "big heads" with the exclusion on the 'small head" of the Euro member countries to devalue Euro in other to boost export, tourism and even to gain political advantage.

#Whatever the war is, whoever is fighting, I dont care. I only want to be on the best side of the trade/trend.

#Hmmm..enough ranting by me and even, I still have positions on those crazy pairs. Oluwa abeg keep my account to the new week as I can be an aggressive trader sometimes.

#TGIF people.

I was in your shoes years ago , (making more than 100% at the beginning of the week and losing all or even getting a margin call in 2-3days time) until I found the "Holy grail-ME" which would be yourself. Discover yourself and all things would fall in place. Any system can make money with good mm but the problem has never been and will never be the market but "YOU".
Research pays big time!

An example of my entry refinement for an EJ trade I just missed few hours ago: 4.2 RR already!
R/S and 62% Fib Resistance at 4hr TF, 15min entry with 12pip SL risk on this EJ. Hope this helps!

Prettywoman: 6years experience advised me my dear
It's all about psychology folks.
IMO,6years experience should mean freeing your mind (after putting the trade at BE) and letting it hit your predefined target or better still trail till the market takes you out, which I did to grab almost 184pips (9.3 R:R) from same trade. I'm wondering why you decided to take the $350 when you could ve made almost $1400/more and even rest for the week? Why did you get carried away by the $350 profit? Was it too good to lose after your effort? or Was the $350 risk amount too much emotionally for you to lose? Not judging you, just curious to learn!

Successful trading means 10-20% sticking to your system/methods rules (discipline) and 80-90% Psychology (greed/fear); its the 80% part that most experienced traders, (even me sometimes) struggle with, especially when your equity and risk amount gets large and you are looking at the $$$ value of every trade/risk amount/profit (you might ve been thinking this $350 profit is too big to lose; that must ve been some people's salary in a month...without thinking I went through hell risking $350 on this trade and I deserve the 2:1 or more RR.)

Right now, I read more books on psychology than anything else.... and I'm beginning to find out you don't need many successful trades in a week to double your account. If you could focus on your a one/few pairs, refine your entries, exits and RR. then BINGO!
My book picks for the week or remaining part of the month and into next month are: Super Trader by Van Tharp...http://www.4shared.com/office/2HFvP4n3/file.htm, The Inner voice of trading by Martin and the Josh Lukeman's book posted here some days back.

As an example of what I did differently on that same trade (not to brag or show off oh pls), I missed my limit buy by 2.4pips when I woke up, then took a market order entry at 122.448 with SL @122.25 which was low of 4h entry bar (19.8pips), with initial TP at 123.08 (61.8 Fib retracement, S/R and pivot confluence from last week high to this week's low of price gap) given me a 3.2 RR but TP to be changed higher to 124.448 or even 125 (10 RR or more -- very unlikely given the ranging market this week) depending on news about Cyprus and FOMC.
Immediately I bought at market entry which I hate doing nowadays, drawdown was almost -16, my blood was hot and rising and I was tempted like the past to take my partial loss instead of full risk amount loss (my risk capital was some $1000s) but I have learned to always risk what I could afford without any emotions attached. I was glad i did because price shot back up again after testing 122.293. What a relief!

Time to manage the trade: immediately I observed the huge momentum candles on 1,2 and 4hr TF, I knew this trade would put atleast a 5:1 RR so at 2:1 RR, my trade was already moved to BE but I was already moving my SL by 3-5pips on every 10-15pips move in my favor (free sms alerts of price so I didnt have to look at the chart to avoid emotional attachment, especially seeing $1000's on your profit column). Immediately price reached my initial 123.08 TP which I had changed to 124.448 on seeing those momentum bars, I watched the retracement for momentum too but it was very choppy so I was rest assured 61.8 Fib retracement,S/R/Pivot resistance would be broken. Summary of whole gist is I trailed my SL until I made a 9.4 R:R. I'm good for the week if I dont get any trade setups again. This made up for my last week loss and my equity jumped 28.3% on this trade alone!
I'm happy, not for the $$/RR made but for putting into practice what I have been reading...Super successful trading is a combination of: near perfect entry (with super low drawdown which allows smal SL and huge position size), risk the amount you can afford without any emotional attachment(let the market take you out), let your profit run or use TP1,TP2 and TP2 at predefined S/R (manage your trade--SL movement), aim for huge RR and above all, manage your fear/greed (psychology). I have decided to put my trades and comments including this post in a journal just to learn at the end of the every week and month and this has helped me a great deal. Hope this helps folks.
Happy pipping!
