ufotuko: The reason why some traders fail is the urge to want to trade everyday and make money,they are not seeing clear signals but they still go on and take the trade and at the end of the day they loose big time,is not how much time that u spend to trade that matters but making the right trades,a two good trades in a month can be more profitable than even a dozen of trades everyday,sometimes i only make four trades in a month but those four trades will always come out in green and a high profit because i don't enter into a trade anyhow.

surveycash: Three little rules

Jamie’s rules for forex traders:

1.0 Understand the basics of technical analysis.
You don’t need to be a quant-geek to be successful, but understanding the first ten chapters or so of the classic Technical Analysis of the Futures Markets: A Comprehensive Guide to Trading Methods and Applications by John J. Murphy would be a great start.

2.0 Understand the basics of fundamental analysis.
Pay attention to trends in interest rates, commodity prices, prevailing direction of investment flows, among other. When the fundamental and technical outlooks for a currency differ, always side with the techs.

3.0 When the fundamental and technical outlooks for a currency converge, go for it! Take a more aggressive position than normal.

Piponomics: EJ is likely headed to 123.xx finally. Got 200pips locked and waiting to see. If e no gree, we go still follow am come down.
Trading just one pair is so very sweet. You just put all the allotted risk on the pair and relax. Minimal losing trades and rest of mind.
If you want to go down this route, pick a pair that has high daily pip range and avoid EU like a plague.
Someone might think it would be hard to meet monthly targets but that's not true. Trading EJ alone this January, I have made 600pips excluding the current open trade. And with the lot size I use, I need just 400pips to double my account. So do the maths.
So, it all boils down to proper trade management.

prowitin: I just sitdown de watch this thread like season film. This week go funny well well. People don de run leave forex some account don burn. Some de make pips. For me all I see is ups n down. I can't risk trading in this condition. Its madness. If I pick a trade in the morning with all am seeing here my account will see its period b4 I get back from work. My money is safe with me until I see a nice PA on 4HR. Indicators can sit down some where for now. I can not come and go and kill my self.

Piponomics: Here is a quick tip. For those that would want to go into trading the 4hr charts but struggling to leave the 1hr, simply keep an eye on the 1hour charts and take entry signals there, then when the 4hr chart conforms to the trade you just entered, you can sit back and enjoy the ride.

What this style does is that it gives you the best of both worlds. You get to enter very early and you can also swing trade. Even if the 4hr charts end up not breaking out in your direction, you can always close out the early 1hr entry at either BE or with a handful of pips.

Take for example the current EJ swing. One could have gotten in at 114.70 and endured a retracement before price would move in your favor. With the move kicking off on the 4hr, anyone that left the trade on would be in green of over 400pips right now. Don't know if this makes sense to anyone sha.

Also, take these pairs seriously EJ, ENZD, GBPAUD, EURAUD, GBPJPY and GBPNZD. The moves are always very heavy. Targeting 500pips on any of them is not greed.
You can pick one or two of them (I trade EJ alone for now) or watch the whole 6. Very nice pairs.

Hunkyimage: lndeed itz superb,i learnt this position trading strategy called "building an equity milipede" on FF(www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=245149 ) mehn,this man'z thread changed my trading psychology,after reading up to about 50pgs,i learnt a lot lyk entering d market with low risk,creating stacks of positions as d trend builds up(milking it) and diversifying at your discretion to replenish ur trading balance and ensuring a smooth equity curve and lotz more,just check it out,itz one of d coolest thread i've ever read online(lyk 3x)...

Nice one. Swing and Position trading all the way.
Meanwhile, I keep moving dem SL and banking dem checks...over 600pips on EJ, 547pips on GJ, 438pips on AJ and so the Checks from BOJ keep piling....(If you hear the lot size!)

I am only sure of it at 114.50 soon- it is not late to enter EJ for this target of 40pips.
My Eu entry @ 1.3255 has paid off well,
my GU SELL still holds,Usdchf SEll paying well
EG paid well and EJ has done well.
Thank God for nice pips during this yuletide.I can now use these Xmas pips value for my stop loss in January.
Talking about January and the Fiscal Cliff of Obama and America, i want to see how my system plays technically over fundamentals.
Fundamentally speaking They must be pricing in the effect of the fiscal cliff into the markets and all attention migrates to safe haven like Gold,Swiss franc,and the YEN.If this EJ closes above 111.37 then the monthly chart has a breakout.

FXKing2012: This thread is full of hypocrites. Efe22 is an ardent poster here and now in need of help, and he has asked traders in here to help him but pple are either giving excuses or acting like they didnt see his plea for help.

Traders in here are always quick to shout that they made 200pips to 500pips daily, some even brandish their accounts showing hundreds of dollars in floating or closed profit. But now a brother needs ur help u've all gone mute. If 10 pple could give him just $50 each, his plea for $500 is met. So much for being ur brother's keeper.

Everybody in here wants u to share ur strategy but never willing to help when called upon.
Unfortunately he has pushed d ignore button on d only person that is able and willing to help. Thatz why I always tell pple never to judge a book by its cover.

jamace: This is the time to test the patience of traders. If you can not be patient to wait for the next direction of trend, then, you may consider going back to build up your PQ (Patience Quotient). You need a very high PQ to survive the market.

efe22: Just an observation from this broker www.fbs.com, their EU price is always lagging 7-9 pips on my mt4. I mine the only person experiencing this? Am on a micro account with them. The thing don tire me
For instance, the live quotes on their homepage is basically same with instaforex and others but mt4 fastforward price by 7 - 9 pips plus spread. Na wa oo

Now concerning usage of lot size between @Silibaba and Rozayx5, this is my opinion:
A man wants to make $100 in a day, he chooses to use 1.0 lot size aiming at 10pips only and before you can say Jack Robin.... he is done for the day.The second fellow wants to make $100 but decides to use size 0.10 and has to wait for 16 hours or a day for the Pair to make 100 pips.If Rozayx5 decides to use size 20(Instaforex size- but normally this is size 2.0) and aims at 10 pips and walks home that day with the $200 is more likely to happen than a 0.2 looking for 100 pips.The bottom line is are your signals razor sharp in accuracy?otherwise you better take smaller lot size and wait for 3 days than to be shocked at a sudden retracement that could give you a black eye.IT IS ALL ABOUT SNIPER PRECISION OF ACCURACY.BRUTAL ACCURACY NI.
With such an accuracy easy 9 pips can give someone $9000 in a day.
