There is no right answer here, the PS4 is only marginally better in hardware so if cost is most important, a good deal on Xbox might be a better choice. But yes it is true that the d-pad on microsoft has been a problem or complaint for many. They made it a bit better on xbox one but if you want to retain the same controller feel, than PS4 becomes the right choice.

If all you do is gaming, the main comparison is cost, gamepad, and number of friends you have to play with on each network (if you multiplay)

Some other functions like streaming between the consoles can be compared further, but again, for games it's really too close so it becomes personal preference

Is anyone still playing world of warcraft? My cousins who live in Germany got me to join with their guild, but the speeds be too slow for raiding. I am slowing down the group by too much with ping times of 150+ms - apparently I am suppose to only be anywhere from 20-80 maximum.

They say because the distance from europe servers is longer that I should use a VPN to connect to Germany - does anyone use a VPN for gaming? I tried with free ones, but the speed is usually slower, or it only allows me to use it for a little bit, but since my cousin gifted me with the wow subscription, I think I am going to choose a paid service. They suggest I pick one from here: http://vpnpick.com/best-vpn-gaming/ and I suppose any service with german locations will work - but I want to make sure it will actually work. they say in the article that it makes a short and private direct connection to the location.

If anyone can tell me if the VPN solution will work for lowering my ping time, please advise.

No need to argue among ourselves - some will always put others down - as unlikely they may be to be successful, this petition is still better than nothing and it costs nothing. No I do not think it will make things change, but believe me that Sony will at least look at it and say hey, is there a solution here.. Maybe even bitcoin who knows. All actions can spark reactions which can lead to better things.
