Broda tire o, do you actually know that they were speaking Yoruba (Ile ife dialect) inside the palace of the Oba of Benin before they stopped around the 19th century. The two major empire in the Southern Nigeria is the Benin empire and the Oyo empire both came through Oranmiyan a Prince from Ile Ife.
