Those moves are always a gamble. We also bought Mejbri for 4m as a teenager and sold him for about 5m. After years of “developing him.” There’s no guarantee that a player will turn out good and teenagers are wildly unpredictable.

Good thing is that most of the young guys we bought are turning out well . Look at Amad for instance. He cost us about 40m ( 19+18m in bonuses) when he was 18. But with the way he’s going, he could easily be a 70-100m player by the end of the season.

Dalot is also another low-key solid piece of business.

isreal in final solution mode - now we put ze explosives in ze vibrat-ors

Talking about Final Solutions, I spent 4 hours in Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp yesterday. My main takeaways are these:

- Anything wey you do for this life, nor let them kill you. If them kill you, nothing go happen. Karma is a myth and 90% of Nazi officers escaped justice and died at a ripe old age in South America

- The Republicans spreading all types of targeted slurs at Haitians and other minorities are running the same playbook the Nazis used in the 1930s.

- Raumdeuter might be the smartest man on this board. Auschwitz has me thinking different about gun ownership. Omo, you ain’t taking me into that big-ass death camp of no escape alive. Better to shoot it out and take 5 Soldaten with me. I immediately went to receive shooting training from some Russian instructors (Okpa will approve this grin)

- Ausschwitzt still has electricity underground dawg. 80 odd years later and our public primary schools are in a worse infrastructural state than a decommissioned Abandoned Nazi Death camp bombed the fūck out by the Allies

It is not sketchy at all.

When you are trying to buy stuff online from the comfort of your home, you have certain freedoms. Once you are out in public you lose some of those freedoms and you are bound by an implicit social contract in most cases, unless there are explicit exceptions.

This contract is in place in order to prevent a total breakdown of law and order. Imagine someone disregarding queues in the bank and just bribing the teller in order to be attended to first. Or the same thing happening at a supermarket, hospital, post office, mechanic workshop, restaurant, airport etc.

Now imagine EVERYBODY doing it as standard practice. Everyone just arrives and rushes to the front in order to bribe the person in charge of whatever service/product is being bought.

We have not even touched on the "showing workings" i.e. bribery of the manager, which is a different problem on its own, separate from the disregard for order.

There are many reasons why i say this country is irredeemably doomed. This is just one of them. People with this mindset will become governors, permanent secretaries, and ministers in the future.

Irredeemably. No better descriptor

The crux of the matter is ; in Nigeria if u study STEM related courses , ur chances of landing a STEM related is not high because there are few STEM related jobs out there.

Eventually u will have to drag jobs with non-STEM graduates . Trust me, if u meet people who studied non-STEM related courses to drag job, ur chances of getting the job is same as theirs . I mean the smart ones. It’s not like ur STEM degree suddenly makes u better than them in any way.

Anybody who thinks otherwise is just massaging his STEM ego. A student who graduates with 5.0 CGPA in history & international relations and another who graduates with 5.0 in Mathematics have equal chances of landing a graduate trainee role simply because they are both smart.

Depends on the company calibre.

You’re not getting a graduate trainee role at Goldman Sachs with a 5.0 in History and International relations.

Ultimately both graduates will have to ace interviews but preselection means the Historian will be left in the past whilst the mathematician plots a trajectory to the offer letter

I’d say if you can do a STEM course, you should probably do it. There are intangibles you pick up that are useful in any situation. Intangibles such as reasoning from first principles, optimisation etc

Also, fundamentally the world is a competitive marketplace. If you’re sure you have enough literature talent to become the next R.L Stine or Steven King, then stay in your social sciences field but if not, just remember the competition is brutal.

An example, I have a friend from my Uni days who just completed his Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery. This niqqa is also really versed in Android/Web/Machine Learning and has years of experience there. He asked me to go through his CV and I was like, "only problem i see in your CV is that you’ve got too much credentials"

Imagine you carry your History and Religious studies degree follow this kain person find work grin

If DSS no carry this guy anytime soon , make I know wetin cause am 😂😂😂😂

As much as I'm not a fan of Tinubu, the amount of misinformation/disinformation in that one single video is crazy 🤯.

The guy practically said the Calabar coastal road will be funded to the tune of 15 trillion out of 28 trillion 2024 budget 😂. The guy does not even care about all those talks from Umahi that the contract is EPC+ F or whatever he chose to call it.

The guy mix everything together just plant Tinubu hate in Northerners mind and add better fertilizers for the thing to germinate ASAP.

I lost it when the tried explaining what a trillion Naira is.🤣🤣🤣🤣

On a serious note, I believe some of these guys are being sponsored by the powers that appears to be angry with Tinubu in the north . Honestly, Tinubu get bigger problems wey pass Peter Obi o. All those nonsensical and unnecessary attack at Obi by Bayo Onanuga and the rest of his guys on twitter ; they need to channel the energy on the people that are really after their principal .

It's practically impossible to develop accent as an adult, the vocal chords are fully formed by then...those 1 month accent people na acting, but they say having the oynbo accent helps you not stick out like a sore thumb which in turn helps with upward mobility.

Accent is pretty much more dependent on neural association and less dependent on physical morphology

You probably pronounce the name, "Bukayo Saka" exactly the same way Peter Drury pronounces it and this is due to reinforcement training from hearing the name pronounced (incorrectly) hundreds of times over the course of 6 seasons.

Some people fake accent (sometimes it is absolutely necessary when speaking to people from certain other nationalities who have a difficult time understanding an unrefined Nigerian accent) but if you hear words pronounced a certain way countless times, you will form different neural pathways for those words. For example, I and my guys speak Pidgin with normal Nigerian accents and Deutsch with a totally different accent and the change is pretty much unnoticeable from our perspectives.

Apartheid Boy seems very invested in periodically stoking unrest and heating up the polity. I’m really curious what his end goal is. I understand that the only ideals the rich really are aligned with are the ideologies that doubles financial equity and Musk can give a rats arsë about free speech and other lamba he keeps yarning for the simple to ingest.
