Thank you very much sir..... i kind of have answered those questions already, and didn't like the answers. But one thing is discovering the problem, but its an entirely a different ball game getting solutions for them.

Lots of guys envy my job and wld give a left arm for it (but u knw hw the view frm inside can be different)

Like i said, i aint getting any younger, and as i hv come to discover, experiences frm the Nigerian public sector most often can't hold in a very competitive private sector market, talk less of the kind of place i wnt to be. Not like getting those kind of careers are easy to come by anyways.

I thought a masters degree wld help, and i got few mnths till graduation, and my initial fear is back. I AM TIRED OF CERTIFICATES, I AM TIRED OF LEARNING NEW STUFF THAT I CANT FIND PLACES TO APPLY THEM. I wld ultimately setup on my own, but not until i have been in a challenging career.

I want to be in the centre of some technological development, see things made, contribute to the making, learn while making them, propose solutions and ideas that wld be implemented with results ... stuff like that, which the nigerian market obviously doesn't hv right now.

Hi.. so, i am an engr, about 30yrs and i work with the nigerian public service (IT support). I do not have satisfaction from what i do. The pay is good, actually... very good for public service, but i dnt just do anything at work, i mean other than fix PSs and make sure the internet is running. Its a small office so, its just few access points and we have an ISP, so no serious work.

I just finished my MSC and i will be going back to work. What scares me is, other than the dissatisfaction that comes with my job, i dnt think the experience i am gathering is anything to write home about. I usually visit career sections of Google, FB, Microsoft and the likes, and the skill set they require is nothing close to what i have.

Please i need advice on what i might possibly do. Self development is not really an option for me, as i have tried that in the past (whats the need of learning Ccna or ccnp, for instance, when u dnt have a Cisco based network?), i wld hv loved a situation where i learn on the job or at least where i can practice what i have learnt. Not just learn for a certificate (i am tired of them certificates).

PS: I can continue with what i am doing and become a director in say 15yrs, but i feel life shld hold more.

..ehmmm, i do have one, but i am not selling just yet. waiting for note 4 or iPhone 6 by next mnth.

Harbosede02: Mtchewwwwu,u guys sud stp dis unneccesary discrimination,am a church gurl,i go to church 3 tyms a week,sundai,wednesdays and saturdays and dat doesn't make me stu.pid,i av a bf,i do go on dates and i also av my own principles....and d last tym i checked i aven't regret serving my God.....it all boils down to aw each and every1 of us think.

My point actually is about those that go to church over 5 times a week. I for one go about 2 times a week (sunday and wednesday) on the average, or more accurately 1-1/2 times a week, accounting for the days i dnt go or days i just go for half of a service. But thats not the point.

My point is... on a scale of 0 to 7, where 0 is non at all and 7 is everyday of the week, whats ur take on ladies of 5 to 7?

Either u dumb or just plain s.t.u.p.i.d not to be able to differentiate between "God fearing" and "Churchious" or u just one of those that allow ur pastor do the thinking for you. Either ways, if u think sleeping in a church makes u God fearing, then u obviously a joke.

P.S: Getting peoples opinion on topics like this has really nothing to do with my choices or preferences. I guess u need to go ask ur pastor first before u can come answer.

Guy, we totally on the same page. You ask her about some business venture u considering, but instead of giving sound reasons and suggestions, tells u instead to pray and fast on it (dnt get me wrong, guys..that is good too, but u asked for business advice). Bringing up politics is a No NO all together.

Naetochukwu: Well everybody has what he or she likes to do in their leisure time, some ppl prefer to do all you listed above without having time for God while to some ppl a day without church activities is an incomplete day.
What you like in a girl is totally different from what another wants.. Like I said don't try to discourage anybody from doing what they love to do.
Take for instance myself, I am sometimes naughty but I will like to marry a church boy, who spends quality time in church with his maker...

vizkiz: All you need to do is find the right Hole,just calm down, don't rush....once you locate your destination, try and get some "work" done on it (this will make her feel alive)

Personally, i dnt care much about the "hole" (as u call it). Everyone has one, so we will definitely get there. Right now, i dnt even mind a lady that will tell me no sex before marriage (as long as we will have it afterwards...heheh). Just make she get small sense pass wetin 'papa' and 'mama' talk

I am saying if u go to church so much so that u have no original opinion on nothing other than what 'papa' said or what 'mama' said is just crazy.

I am saying, engage in other stuff different from church activities. Go watch movies, read gossip magazines, whats news, play sports, follow technology, go to romance section of nairaland, even visit sexuality subsection once in a while. Visit Autos, politics, fashion... etc etc

.. Ok, maybe I'm a bit crazy or just evil, but it has come to my attention (recently stepped up my search for a wifey) that i dislike church girls, thats girls that like church too much (i dnt mean liking God too much oh)

1. Ladies that cannot talk for ten mins without making reference to "papa this", "pastor that".... "bishop said", "Papa and mama that". It kind of disgusts me. I see them as very shallow and unintelligent.

2. Ladies that cnt look beyond how catholics are pegans and wld not see God, or how church A/Pastor A is not godly enough and how non tithers are on the journey to hell and dnt even consider muslims as humans nor cele and C&C and all the position is based on what "Papa and Mama" told them.

3. Ladies that go for choir practice on saturday, attend all 100 services on sunday, having gone for pre service arnd 5:30, go for bible study on monday, fight against evil spirits on tuesday, go for midweek service on wed, etc etc.... as in, spend more time in church than on any other self development drive. Know nothing about politics, movies, technology.. as in, nothing outside what/when the next church service is .

ok... since no responses yet. I wish to state that relationships and contacts people make in life are one of the most beneficial endeavours one can engage in. One of the things that make A-list institutions world over awesome, i think is their alumni. strong relationships and bonds formed while in school goes a long way to position them.

On a different note, Nigerians here (africans generally) have a bad name here.... guys into internet scam, ladies on the streets. Come here lets try and do something nice. Lets have fun, lets effect change....... lets have good times.
