10d0ve:You think City will make top 4 in La liga? Well, that's another discussion entirely. Every coach has its style of play. Guardiola builded his on Xavi, Iniesta and Messi. Enrique depends on MSN. Both have their flaws, both styles have delivered treble. If you are looking for a dominant midfield with a direct attack, then I guess you have to perhaps change the coach. However I won't say we should sack Enrique because despite his flaws, his style is still bringing results. |
10d0ve:City is not a top team as far as I'm concerned. Their game plan suits us well. Bring any top EPL side that depends on a playmaker like Ozil or Silva, they will always be tamed by Busquets. However, an all round team like Villarreal, Sevilla, Atletico who doesn't depend on a playmaker will always expose Busquets' flaws. You saw what Celta did recently. If you are talking about domination, I'm sorry, it's a past thing. Our game style has changed. It's now our front 3 running the show. You see Messi in the middle trying to influence things when formation shows he should be on the wings. It's because our midfielders are not influencing the game enough. A Rafinha, Dennis and Gomes are not Barca's Standard and I've said this all along. |
10d0ve:The truth is no one among Dennis, Gomes and Rafinha can play that Iniesta role in Barca's quality. Like someone said, our front 3 have been bailing us out in goals, assists and chances created. Only Rakitic has provided some assists from midfield so far this season. Facing grade A teams like Madrid, Atletico, Sevilla, and in Europe, Bayern, I think Arda will come good. The guy has really impressed in his games this season. I still insist that Gomes should anchor our midfield in some games to really assess his quality there. Busquets is just too relaxed and unimpressive. I saw how Valencia guys especially Parejo were just messing him up in that match. I dunno know what he's really contributing to our midfield. OK he can pass, but the question is who can't? Our main strength is our front 3, Pique and Umtiti. Our weakness is our midfield. An area that used to be our main strength. |
Arsenal used their 6 goals to play ludo in midweek |
Last gasp penalty kick... Thank you Messiiiiiiiiiiiii Finally, my weekend is made. |
Hahahahahahahaaa. Mine was far back in 2006 when we handed Chelsea their 1st defeat at Stamford Bridge in UCL. It was also Messi's 1st UCL match I think. An 18 year old. Chelsea had to pour tipper of sand on their pitch to stop our free flow football. The pitch was horrible. Chelsea scored through an own goal from Thiago Motta, but we equalized via John Terry's own goal via Ronaldinho's free kick. But the sweetest moment was when Samuel Eto'o finished off a sweet counter attack that was led by Ronaldinho and Henrik Larsson. It was at the dying moment of the match when Eto'o headed past Cech. I jumped up and mistakenly broke the ceiling of my school's hostel's viewing center. Nobody even noticed it because even Arsenal and Man United fans supported Barca that fateful night. |
Sterling = Fraud Stones = Fraud Bravo = ![]() |
We try this make shift defense in la liga, we will be flogged by Las Palmas FC. La Liga is the best and toughest league in the world. |
bykebyke:This is camp Nou. Better lethal strikers failed here. MSN failed no where. |
bykebyke:Kevin is not Messi. |
kinggogo:You are having that feeling because you have been bought by the EPL hype. |
After buying 8 players plus a far rugged coach, nobody should rule out Sevilla this season. Even last season when they were poor, I don't think there was any team who defeated them at home throughout. This season, Sevilla are playing like a team who is tired of playing in Europa, and wanna push for the league title all the way. Time will tell, but so far, they are better than last season. Sevilla vs Atletico Madrid... Match of next weekend in Europe.
|
ceejaay:Add Sevilla to the list. They got their 1st away win in over a year. Thanks to their new rugged coach. This season, la liga title is gonna be keenly contested by the big 4. |
jstbeinhonest:My brain says draw. My heart wants Sevilla to win. But the only way for us to win the league this season is to go on an unbeaten run. |
jstbeinhonest:Atletico? I dey take one eye dey watch them sha. Even Sevilla are proving none pushovers. This season will be serious soap opera. |
donjazet:Had it been that goof he committed there became an own goal, you wouldn't say this. Luis should not be trusted at the Centre of a 3 man defense. |
bykebyke:I hope Madrid drop points today. |
dmcdad:I have no problem with Neymar. Even on a bad day, he provides assists. A superb player. My beef is on Suarez. He loves missing sitters and scores incredible goals. Thank God he scored after missing a header my 85 years old grandma would bury. |
OBTSubtle:How many matches did Suarez play before scoring his 1st goal? #GivePacoachance |
The Lion is back |
Thank you Rafinha. |
That's how to do it Rafinha. Got the ball from 2 players, and went on to score. Brilliant ![]() |
I prefer Mathieu at LB than CB. My only concern is our forward line. Suarez just needs to prove me wrong when I say he's on the decline. My eyes are on him again today. ![]() |
Finally, people are starting to shower praises on Pique. The one who has been upholding our defence for the past 7 years. |
Which one be 3-5-3 formation? If you guys are talking of 3-4-3, then I think we've played such before and it worked. I remember when Alves played as a winger in such matches. It's just that I still don't think Vidal is as bad as Mathieu. The coach really needs to give him a chance to prove himself. My main concern is our attack line. Suarez is really messing things up, Messi is still out, and Neymar should be sharper. |
I just saw Iheanacho round up a keeper and score in the midst of 3 defenders on the goal line. Yet some dude will release sperm whenever the Belgian Ahmed Musa scores a goal after 5 games. |
Chelseafan1:Ramos alone destroyed that Atletico defence twice in 2 UCL finals. However, it's a waste of time discussing footie with you. If I say your IQ is low, I'm actually hyping you. |
Here are the matches I expect us to drop points this season. 1. Away to Sevilla 2. Away to Real Sociedad 3. At least one El Clasico match 4. Away to Las Palmas 5. Away to Atletico Madrid 6. Away to Villarreal |
airmark:I've always opined my reservations concerning Busquets and that's not a new thing. I never said he's bad, or should be replaced, I've always said he needs a challenger to keep him on his toes. Same goes to Suarez. |
Gomes should be given enough time to anchor our midfield. Busquets needs a challenger. I've said this times and times again. |
bigkesh:Overhyped? You mean Pique and Ramos are overhyped? Let's leave out Boateng for now. Don't start what you cannot finish. |
AbuMikey:Where were they when it mattered most? Ramos destroyed them twice in 2 UCL finals |

on their pitch to stop our free flow football. The pitch was horrible.
