Yes, Yaya and Sanchez is Barca reject not La Liga reject. Many club in Liga would have wanted them. Point of correction... Zlatan was offloaded from Barca. He wanted to be the face of barcelona, but was rejected. Messi was the anointed one, and our decision has been 100% successful. Sanchez was rejected because he was not just good enough. |

weedtaker: Suarez first season in EPL ended with 4league goals, a certain man.utd flop diego forlan was an instant hit in la liga(we should not also 4get dat an unkown michu was also an instant hit in the EPL), an ageing van nistelroojy at the age of 30 won the pichichi in his la liga debut season (a feat no la liga import in the EPL has archeived) sneijder van dar vart nd robben were all shipped out of madrid but that doesn't mean the are bad players, di maria dat madrid bought was not better than robben, neither are khedira nd lassana diara better than sneijder, our own british balon d'or winner micheal owen was one of the hottest properties in england nd europe during de early 2000's, but was lost wen he went to ply his trade in la liga, same goes to negredo nd soldado, so what am i trying to say? A players performance in a certain league doesn't tell the difference between other leagues, because Fabregas nd sanchez de liga rejects (as u guys claimed) are lightening up the EPL doesn't make the EPL a weaker league, after all the Epl player of the year raumdueter is hi labelin as piaus ikedia nd announcin to the whole nairaland his woes in european club tournaments, forced the german player of the year kevin de bruyne (if i'm not mistaken) out of the chelsea first team, so what do you have to say about that? Even a certain llorente dat teared man.u defence to shreds was glued to the bench by a certain young alvaro morota; so the strength of a league doesn't depends on the best teams, but the best competition nd entertainment, In germany we only watch dortmund vs bayern which is likely to change to wolfburg vs bayern dis season, in spain barca vs madrid, in italy NONE! In france NONE! IN England.. Man.u vs man.city, arsenal vs chelsea, liverpool vs everto, tottenham vs arsenal, man.u vs liverpoo, man.city vs tottenham, man.u vs chelsea, arsenal vs man.u de list goes on nd on, La liga by no doubt blows the epl out of the water when it comes to better/flashy players and even boost the better teams, but the competition nd entertainment is in the EPL.. THE REAL DEAL IS IN ENGLAND, take it or leave it! Its a fact every true football fan knows! You were making sense till you started rating Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham, Liverpool matches among the elite ones. I can't believe you could rate their matches alongside Barca vs Madrid. None of these teams can stand the likes of Atletico, Valencia, Sevilla, Bilbao and Sociedad. Barca and Madrid alongside Bayern stand head and shoulders above all other teams in Europe. Never you compare el-clasico with any matches that EPL can provide. |

homesteady: I downloaded a video of all Neymar goals, and I was just happy all through! I'm now Neymar's biggest fan if not for Messi, he would have been my best player in the world!
But after watching the video, I was wondering whether he'll be able to replicate such a record! 39 goals is not beans, especially when not playing as the Alpha male! thats why it annoys me when all these hazard fangirls say hazard is better! I can mention top strikers like Drogba, Eto and many others who did not score 39 goals in a season!
I don't think he'll score up to that amount next season! Neymar has the potentials to perform even better next season. Ronaldo scored 42goals @ age 23 and has gone to be a better player afterwards. Just that by the time Neymar starts scoring 60+ goals per season, he'll have no competitors. It's guys like Hazard will struggle to score 25 goals per season |

anything you wanna say to that?
logic is a problem for la liga fans. the 15 UCL won by la liga is by 2 teams, i repeat 2 teams. the 12 UCL won by EPL are by 5 teams.
the strength of a league is the number of top performers there not the frequency of one team in it. barca can win UCL 100 times and la liga wouldn't be the strongest league in the world. the league is about 20 teams, not about 2 teams. 5 UCL trophies and 7 Europa Trophies and 7 UEFA Super Cups won by 5 La Liga Clubs in the last 12 years.
That makes it 19 UEFA Trophies won by 5 La Liga clubs in the last 12 years. |

chrisley024: Why won't Madrid and Barca have the best players when they share 70percent of the income in their league.
Without the oil rich dads, Madrid and Barca would be on par with Everton if they were in England.
Or why no other team in your league bar Madrid and Barca has won CL?.
A league is made up of 20 teams not 2-3 teams bro. Don't know why it's hard to accept. Fine, only barca and Madrid have won UCL in Spain. But I tell you this, there is no dominant team in Europe from epl clubs. United used to be one of them till their decline in 2011. Where are Aston Villa and Nottingham forest today? Where is Leeds United? Where is Liverpool? Even Chelsea's success in Europe will be a flash in the pan just like others. But you see the likes of Valencia, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla consistent in Europe for the past 10 years. If the 3 La Liga clubs play in EPL, they will make top 4 consistently. |

UniqueGem: Mr Man you are still judging with individual teams ability. I'm telling you that to determine the best league, you should judge with level of excitment and not teams ability or calibre of players packed in one team. You're even going Europe? Is Europe a specified league? Europe is a Neutral ground where bests from every league converge. Suarez said "The Epl is the Best league in the world but barcelona is the best team in the world" it still doesn't ring a bell? Okay... This i believe is based on excitment, level of competitiveness, and prestige. Now this is based on calibre of players in the team, team playing style and trophy. EPL is all about Money and Media. Remove these two, and it will not be better than Naija league because Naija league is also very competitive. Calibre of players in a team makes a team strong. That is why La Liga teams are extremely difficult to beat in Europe, while EPL teams sucks in quality. What La Liga lacks is Money and Media. It is money and media hype that makes a grade C player like Sterling (who is not as good as Sanchez) to go for 40m pounds, while Bacca (among top 5 strikers in the world) costs much less. Any why won't I quote Europe? The quality of a league is always measured by the performance of her best teams in Europe. When EPL was dominating Europe, didn't you guys rub it on our faces that it was the best? Now the tides have changed, and you are saying something else. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Debroslink: 8:09am On Aug 01, 2015 |
UniqueGem: I Believe best league in the world should be judged based on the excitment it brings and not the caibre of player in one single team. For Example: In August before each league's fixture is out, you already know Bayern will win Bundesliga with a very wide margin, Dortmund or wolfsberg the closest. In the La liga its either Real Madrid or Barcelona with Athletico left to take the 3rd position. In Serie A, its Juve all over again, In Ligue 1, its PSG. There are no excitments in these leagues were everything is known before it even scheduled. Twice a season we have the El-classico in spain and after that everyone forgets la liga exists, Serie A was more exciting when we had the Ac Milan vs Inter Milan tussle, but now we know their story. But In The Epl Before the fixtures are annouced, holders(chelsea) think they'll retain, then when fixtures are annouced it shifts to Man city becos they have the easiest looking fixtures to start with, soon when transfer window opens, odds shifts in favour of man utd becos of the calibre of player they acquired, During pre-season you get the thought that Arsenal might have a chance because of how they're playing. Now nothing is either certain or guaranteed in this league, many cracking fixtures to look forward to, Manchester derby, London derby, Merseyside Derby, Man Utd vs Liverpool old Rivary etc. You even get excitment in the EPL When you watch Newcastle breaking chelsea's winning streak or Leicester cracking man utd with 5 goals, Liverpool buried with 6 goals by stoke city, these are excitments that make the EPL the BEST league in the word, not because they have the best team or the best players. Forget those hypes, if you watch the matches you highlighted as a neutral fan, you will discover that most of them are boring. Epl is all about Money and Media. All these happen in EPL because there is no consistency among epl clubs. Chelsea will beat man United, and then lose to PSG in Europe. Arsenal will win all top 6 in EPL, but then get trashed @ home to Monaco. Man city will win the league, but will not pass the 2nd round in Europe. Where is the consistency? Barca and Madrid are top in the league, they are also members of the holy trinity of European football, where a semi final finish is regarded as a failure. Other La Liga clubs tear any team apart in Europa, and no one can beat them, except they beat themselves. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Debroslink: 8:02am On Aug 01, 2015 |
bigkesh: point of correction, since August..... we know the winner even before the fixtures are announced We can say the same for epl too. We all know that next season, EPL is gonna be a 2 horse race between Ogogoro and Shitty. Other clubs like arsenal will only do gra gra. United's form will fluctuate. Despite all these, it is expected that no English team will reach the semi final of the ucl. That spot is reserved for the holy trinity of European football plus any club from Germany, Italy or Spain. So kinibigdeal about epl? |

CR7 scored less than 20 goals before he left EPL. He went to Laliga and stated scoring 50 goals.
Hazard will score 30 in Laliga. He does too much for Chelsea and in the EPL, he gets weak even before he gets to Europe and national team. With time he will learn how to conserve himself for European games.
He scored a magnificient goal against Barca. He will find the laliga easy. A league where in most matches you are virtually on holiday. Januzaj also scored a wonderful goal against Barca, so from your analogy, he will score 30 plus goals in La Liga right? Ronaldo and Nistelrooy are the only ones I know who lit La Liga. But we all know why Ronaldo is scoring 50+ goals, don't we? As for Hazard scoring 30 goals in La Liga, I LOL. Bale did better even @ a smaller club, but look @ him today. Nigeria league is dead because it's not entertaining.
Barca and Madrid wouldn't be as successful if they were to play in the EPL. Ask Falcao and Di Maria. After 5 matches, the players performance begins to diminish from strong games. Falcao did not come straight from La Liga, but from France. Di Maria's case was complicated from onset, even before he wore the united shirt. However, many middle weight la liga products have become world class in the EPL because the league is inferior to La Liga. What makes EPL great are Money and Media. The quality of football sulks, and the EPL champion won the league via the most boring tactics of all...
