But my question was where you said Ronaldo is more professional than Messi because he is rested.

So why can't Messi be rested from time to time? The reason why we didn't complain in the past is because his output was great. Nowadays, it's clear to the blind and audible to the deaf that his output has dropped massively.
But Messi must play because that's what he signed in that contract.

I can't count the number of times Ronaldo was rested ahead of crucial ucl games while @ Madrid.

And we've had numerous occasions where Messi, despite scoring hattrick against the Levantes and Eibars and we are leading like 5-0 will still play 90 minutes, instead of being subbed and rest for crucial ucl games.

Am I wrong?

One important step towards moving this team forward is to start Resting Messi. No matter how we all want to gloss over it, Messi has been more bad than he has been good this season.
What Messi is doing is borderline insanity. Why should a 33 year old player be playing every single minute? If this can't be addressed, then we should be expecting this Messi throughout this season.


I just feel like Messi should be given two weeks off. He should watch, observe and see how he can be more useful to the team.

Messi's contract since 2016 had a clause which is "to play every game unless stated otherwise by the player". Make I no open his yansh too much for here.

Messi is an excellent player, but Ronaldo is a better professional.
