Suddenly no one is praising EV for trusting Alena to deliver, for all the talk about EV not knowing how to handle young talents and all that..EV has gradually integrated Alena in the team and has brought him in twice when his team's a$$ was on the line. Against Betis and against Villarreal, there's a difference between playing young talents when your team has whitewashed the opponent 4 nil but at 1 nil, playing a young lad like Alena shows that he trusts him.

For all his flaws(every manager has flaws), EV did this right and has also done a whole lot of things right too.

He brought on Alena because Rakitic and Rafinha are injured. He had no choice. Nothing to celebrate there.

I hope everybody is seeing the fact that Dembele will either score or assist in every match he plays. He doesn't rely on Messi every time he's on the attack.

Now watch as EV relegates him back to the bench once Suarez comes back, and watch how some peeps will start giving reasons why Suarez must play every game even if he doesn't score or assist.

This is Barcelona, not Real Madrid. Here, if we want to win UCL, all our strikers must score loads of goals. Messi will score highest, but other strikers must score too.

MSN scored 121 goals with Neymar contributing 39 goals including 10 in UCL. Same as Eto'o, Henry in 2009, Villa, Pedro in 2011 and Neymar Suarez in 2015.

The day our strikers started leaving the goal duties to Messi alone is also the year we lose the UCL. I remember Messi scoring 91 goals. Where were others? We ended up losing the UCL. Messi will score 60 goals, and Sanchez plus Pedro will produce less than 30 goals. Na Copa Del Rey and La Liga we go dey win na.

Suarez scoring just one UCL goal in almost 2 years is a shame to the famed institution called FC BARCELONA.

Though suarez is not in his best form, benching him should not even come near consideration. He was the third highest goalscorer in laliga last season behind only the best in the game. Sorry but this is preposterous One of The major reason why Suarez hasn't been benched is because of his chemistry with Messi. You can't play with someone for that long and don't have chemistry with that player, especially when the players are certified world class players. Messi's chemistry with Suarez is one of the reasons why he hasn't been dropped and of course because we don't have any serious option.

I can't really think of all our goals, but I can clearly remember Suarez Dummy for Messi against Tottenham.
Besides you can't attribute that Messi's goal to Team play or attribute it to Dembele, it was just a normal sequence of play! That goal came out of nothing.

Really? Throughout last season, Suarez scored just 1 goal throughout our UCL campaign. This season, he has zero goal. Dembele from the wings is producing better output.

Dembele has a better understanding of team play with Messi than Suarez and Messi.

Against Atletico, Messi assisted Dembele to score. The next match against PSV, Dembele assisted Messi to score. All these happened in less than 90 minutes when combined together.

I can't remember the last time Messi and Suarez linked up to score a goal. Yet, the coach will NEVER see it good to bench Suarez.

Guardiola is easily the best coach now, he was a youth team coach before he became the first team coach. Check Sterling and Sane, they were talented but not very hardworking, Guardiola taught them more control, less selfishness and keep chasing the ball when you don't have it and make as little mistakes as possible. Our Dembele will fail dribbles and look up, for what? Our Dembele has some of the best players in the world around him but some times you feel like reaching into tv to slap him. His off the ball runs are sometimes so poor. Some things you just have to teach your self. The way to run with the ball that Guardiola taught Sterling, Bale was running that way right from Tottenham when he was playing LB. Check out Ronaldo in his early years @ man United. Talented, show-boating and some-what indisciplined. He loved dribbling but lost possession a lot and was often lost in big matches. Yet, Sir Alex groomed him with veterans like Giggs and Scholes. Ronaldo didn't score a winning goal in a crucial match and the coach will bench him in the next.


Dembele keeps producing the goals when called upon. Yes he looses possession, but even Messi does it too. He needs a coach who will boost his confidence on the ball. He scored last night, like he had done so often already, yet, he's not even guaranteed to play the next game. This alone destroys the morale of any young player.

Lad is just 21. I repeat 21 years. He's bound to show signs of indiscipline @ some point. Mbappe and others of same age bracket have also shown signs of indiscipline @ some point, but theirs are not as celebrated as Dembele's, why? Because we have a coach who doesn't really care about him.

You talk of Guardiola, then go and check how he handled Raheem Sterling. Now Sterling is enjoying his best football life under him.

Meanwhile, Dembele is better than both Sterling and Sane. All he needs is a better manager.
