NgeneUkwenu:
Trash! If Buhari himself was labeled as corrupt by PDP before election, I don't see the reason, why Amaechi and Fashola wouldn't be appointed based on frivolous and unverified petitions against them. Buhari himself knew, Wike and PDP don't want him to appoint Amaechi, hence the unrelenting campaign of hate against him. The fact is that Buhari will definitely appoint Amaechi, Fashola and Ogbonnaya as Ministers!
In the fullness of time.

Interesting perspective and quite plausible.

For a fact, PMB wouldn't appoint Fashola nor Amaechi amidst all those corruption allegations.

Amaechi might be given other responsibilities, time will tell. What I don't understand are the struggling Nigerians feeling 'pity' for a billionaire politician.
The reality on ground.

Damn! This is the most beautiful Police Lady I have seen since the exit of Ivy Okoronkwo.

Good a thing she's PRO...reporters cannot accuse her of lying, cos she's too pretty to lie! They will be stunned at her beauty and accept whatever she says as truth.

The question now is, is there no credible personality from southern part of the country. His present vp is a pastor n even bakare was his running mate in the pervious election. Can't he work with this two guys to fish out honest politicians from the South? Ogbonnaya onu is honest. As far as am concerned this is an insult on southerners. It's like northerners having a stereotypical mind set that all Southerners are corrupt and not reliable
You mean the southern concubines(SW)?

Sure I am disappointed in these latest appointments BUT he will not be judged by appointments rather his performance.

Jonathan had over 60% of his appointees from the South. His own community in Otuoke lacks basic amenities till today despite sixteen years in governance at state and federal level. So, of what importance is appointees region or ethnicity?

My point is, these appointments are not enough for any of PMB's true supporters to regret supporting him. We didn't support him based on where appointees will come from but based on the belief he can get the job done.
No more 70% as you told Afam4eva right? You guys like throwing bogus statistical figures without emperical evidence. You'll have a lot to defend in the fullness of time.

How bad was Nigeria in 1999 that PDP didn't make it worse?
I was in my final year when OBJ was elected. How old were you then?

PDP messed up the country and left it worse than they met it.

1. What was our electricity generation capacity when they came? How did they leave it with all the billion of dollars spent?

3. What about pipe borne water?

4. The education system?

5. Infrastructures?

6. Security?

7. Fuel?

Most of the gains Nigeria has recorded since 1999 were out of natural occurrence and development. E,g, opening up of communication and technology.

Compared to what the country earned in those sixteen years and what PDP spent to "achieve" whatever they claim to have achieved, PDP was a complete disaster. They simply engaged in "chop-I-chop" governance.

Pls, just stop it already.
Hmmm...that's late 30s suppose you graduated at 22/23 and you call some persons 'kids'.

EdCure:
You may deny the fact that your "dilector" speaks for the entire igbos but what you cannot deny is that his ethnic vituperations and vile languages represent the sentiments of the ibos.

Nigeria is for sure a failed country with unsustainable structures that requires restructuring or ultimate fragmentation. But the line which you guys have towed is very dangerous and counter-productive. Your hate campaigns have seen you pitting other ethnic groups against your people.
This is what you guys need to put an end to by adopting some level of diplomacy. Further aggravation would be too late to contain...and you guys will bear the brunt of coordinated massacre because ibos are evenly distributed accros the country.
Really? You must be a joker to think that an average Igboman has no protection outside his 'country' Biafra.

Just because of heterogeneous nature of the country.

I am an advocate of the right man for the job. But at the same time, appointments has to reflect our multi nationalities to a minimum degree. Something like 65% to 35% at the worst case scenario. Not, 90% to 10%.
What a scenario!

@OP, a mistake in your thread: PMB may not have appointed someone from the SE but Dr. Ibe Kachukwu, the GMD of NNPC is Igbo.

I am extremely disappointed and at the same time appreciates the character of the president. The personality that he sticks to his gun as far as he believes in what he's doing. Though this type of attribute, as it's strength, can also become weakness.

Having said that, these latest appointments cannot be justified on the ground of absence of competent and upright characters in the SS/SE/SW.
Hmmm...what a Zoogerian government of "body language". Well everything will be laid bare 'in the fullness of time' grin

www.nairaland.com/2555920/appointment-not-made-5-constituents An elderly white woman who described herself “as a student of Nigeria for many years” had asked to know the president’s plans for the Niger Delta, “with particular reference to amnesty, bunkering, and inclusive government.” This was Buhari’s response: “I hope

example, that gave me 97% cannot in all honesty be treated, on some issues, with constituencies that gave me 5%. I think these are political realities. While, certainly, there will be justice for everybody but well, the party in constituencies that by sheer hard work got their people to vote and ensured that their votes counted, they must must feel that the government has appreciated the effort they put in putting the government in place. I think this is really fair".https://www.thecable.ng/question-will-president-buhari-ignore-states-didnt-vote.

You cannot work in GTBank and go to First Bank to collect salary. Kano gave Buhari 1.9 million votes, Katsina gave Buhari 1.7 million votes, Kaduna gave Buhari 1.3 million votes, do you expect the whole South South and South East minus Edo State that did not give Buhari up to 200,000 votes to get as many appointments as Kano alone? No, No, No. The whole of South South and South East will not get up to what Kano alone will get in terms of appointments. South South and South East excluding Edo State will get Minister of State II for Environment, Minister of State II for Labour and Productivity, Minister of State II for Culture and Tourism (gully erosion sites are tourist attraction), Minister of State II for Women Affairs (to arrest child labourers, baby factory operators, and human traffickers all in South South and South East).
