My colleague was at Gbagada General hospital with his daughter on sunday . They drove over a pile of rubbish, out of curiosity, he got out of his car to view the ‘rubbish’. But to his great surprise, the pile of rubbish was actually a collection of lab sample containers with blood in them dumped by the road

The BBC in a report on it web site questioned ‘Why do Buhari, Dos Santos and Mugabe go to hospital abroad?’ The report said that ‘Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari, is the first among equals’ of those who have spent time abroad seeking medical treatment and that Buhari apparently lacked faith in Nigeria’s health systems.

A California city has agreed to pay $85,000 (72,000 euros) to settle a lawsuit filed by a Muslim woman whose hijab was forcibly removed by the police.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, (CAIR) which announced the settlement on Thursday, had sued the city of Long Beach on behalf of Kirsty Powell, an African-American Muslim, “after police officers forcibly removed her hijab in view of other male officers.
