Hi guys, thought i should share something i recently came across for some input from you guys.
For a while now a friend has been bothering me about a certain business he has been into, honestly i really don't buy into such models of investment as i have come across too many that disappointed people before now. But sincerely I'm seriously tempted by this new one, as he has made so much money from this one. Due to how close we are, he recently showed me the dashboard of his account, probably because I can sometimes be worse than Thomas in the Bible. What I saw in his dashboard (account balance) was about 6 thousand euros plus. But yet I still entertain a lot of fear in my heart, so I thought that I should seek for smart opinions of people who know a bit more about the business. Because honestly it is looking like the way to go for me s it stands right now. So I will really appreciate it if our business minded men in the building help me analyze this whole thing from the link below.

Business / MTN Launches N59bn Digital TV Service Today by Deeluv2010(m): 10:33am On May 26, 2016

Nigerians Embraces Convergence as MTN launches Nigeria’s 1st converged Digital TV and OTT-VOD service.

Nigeria takes a bold step into the era of Telecommunications, Broadcasting and Media convergence as MTN Nigeria launches the pilot of its digital television broadcasting service in Jos, Plateau State.

The TV service, which went live today [Thursday, 26 May 2016], is sequel to the issuance of a digital broadcast licence to MTN by the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) last year.

According to Ferdi Moolman, CEO, MTN Nigeria, “MTN is committed to providing Nigerians with innovative digital platforms which will enhance the way we live, work and play.

Once we commence full commercial activities, the TV service will deliver an exciting bouquet of rich local and international content to Nigerians.

In addition, subscribers will have the freedom to watch their favourite programmes when they choose to via MTN VOD service, rather than having to watch at a specific broadcast time.

This will be the first fully converged broadcast and OTT-VOD service to launch in MTN.”

“Indeed, the launch of MTN TV is another bold demonstration of MTN’s abiding faith in the future of Nigeria, driving growth and development by enabling Nigerians keep pace with the latest global trends and converged solutions.”

Elaborating further, MTN Nigeria Executive, Lynda Saint-Nwafor said “MTN’s vision is to lead the delivery of a bold new digital world.

We are committed to exploring opportunities and avenues to expand our digital footprint and value offering to our customers.

We are therefore constantly seeking appropriate channels to place the latest technologies and services in the hands of Nigerians and this is one of such.”

Webmasters / How To Enable Image Upload On Wordpress Comments by Deeluv2010(m): 2:13pm On Nov 19, 2015
Do you know that you can further enhance user engagement on your site by allowing your blog readers upload images on your WordPress default comment form?

This can heighten interactivity among your readers just as most social media users are addictive to content sharing especially images.

For instance, if you’re in the photography, fashion or design industry, there is every tendency you’ll find this tool useful and relevant for collaboration among like-minds that visit your blog.

Even journalist in the news publishing niche can use it as a means of getting “on the scene stories” they can publish as either fresh or breaking news.

Whichever way you look at it, you’ll discover that implementing image upload within the comment section of your blog can add glamour and a whole lot of functionality to the site.

Why most bloggers do not enable image upload on comment form

I know you would like to ask me why this is not common among bloggers especially the top ones?

Yes, that’s true because allowing image upload on your site can add to the load time and then over burden your server especially if your site is on share hosting.

You can overcome this by adding comment guidelines users must follow. Part of the policies should be to specify the maximum data allowed for upload.

Another downside is the possibility of making php scripts look like a gif image. This may expose your site to attack.

So, ensure you enable your .htaccess to prevent scripts execution within your upload folder.

However, the use of image in comment can be inevitable if you need it to facilitate a process within your site.

For instance, a client told us to build a site where people can upload the images of their loved ones who are death and then comment about them.

We found this tool useful to build deeper interaction and engagement among audience especially the mourners (family of the deceased).

So, feel free to use this tool in as much as it will add to the over-all user experience of the site significantly.

Let’s go straight to how you can get this done on your website if you’re convinced you need it.

How to enable image upload on the comment section of your WordPress blog

The first thing you’ll have to do is to install and activate a WordPress plugin called “Comment images” (https://wordpress.org/plugins/comment-images/) either within your admin dashboard or from WordPress plugin repository.

For the sake of people who might not really know how to install WordPress plugin, you may download our eBook on how to ‘Install WordPress plugin like a pro‘ below:

While installing the plugin, it would check to see if your web host allows image upload from comment box because not all hosting providers allow this feature.

If you get an error message, it implies that you may not be able to implement this feature on your site, but if you do not get an error then you’re good to go.

After activation, you do not need to set anything because the plugin does not have a setting page. All it does is to add a link where image could be uploaded on comment.

Just go straight to the comment section of your blog and you’ll see image upload button added just below the comment form.

You will see the images uploaded beside your blog reader’s comment on the comment page where you moderate comments as the admin. But the images are stored on the media library. You can actually delete any image you feel contravene your image upload policy just as you could delete comments. All you need to do is to go to the media library and locate the image and then delete it from there.

You’re still in control of what goes live on the comment section of your site.

Conclusion: You can see how easy and simple it is to bring about the comment functionality on social media platforms like Facebook into WordPress commenting tool.

This is the very reason I love to create with WordPress – a platform that enjoy the support of huge number of developers and selfless community that provide intense functionality and solution at next to no cost on users.

BREAKING NEWS! MTN CEO Resigns over N1.04tr NCC Fine

Mr. Sifiso Dabengwa, the Chief Executive Officer of MTN Group has resigned with immediate effect over the N1.04 trillion ($5.2bn) fine imposed on MTNN Nigeria by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for failing to deactivate unregistered SIM cards. The resignation of Dabengwa was announced by the company early Monday.

Meanwhile, feelers are also emerging that Mr. Michael Ikpoki, the CEO of MTN Nigeria and other top management staff might be sacked any moment in a house cleaning process that has already started at the Group’s head office in South Africa.

MTN Nigeria was recently fined $5.2bn by the Nigerian Communications Commission for failing to deactivate 5.1-million unregistered SIM cards on its network.

The company’s share price has been hard hit by the news, with the JSE last Monday temporarily suspending trading in MTN’s shares.

MTN said on Monday that Non-executive Chairman, Phuthuma Nhleko had agreed to act as executive chairman for a maximum period of six months while the company identified a successor for Dabengwa.

MTN spokesman Chris Maroleng told 702 Talk Radio that while Mr Dabengwa took the step to resign as "an honourable" gesture, this did not mean that he was at fault for the unregistered SIM card debacle in Nigeria.

The company is also being investigated by the JSE as it disclosed the Nigerian matter only when information started going public in Nigeria, even though it was fined in August.

Nigeria is MTN’s biggest market with 62-million customers, followed by South Africa.

MTN said: "The engagement with the Nigerian authorities on the Nigerian Communications Commission fine is continuing and shareholders will be advised as soon as there are any material developments on this matter."

The company also advised investors to "exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities until a further announcement is made".

Standard Chartered Bank to Sack 1,000 Senior Staff

Standard Chartered Bank, after persistent denials, has confirmed imminent sack of 1,000 senior staff to reduce cost, according to an internal memo sent to staff.

The move was confirmed by Bill Winters, the CEO of Standard Chartered.

The Internal Memo read in part: “that there would be further personnel changes to come. We have already acted to reduce management layers, and a result will have up to 25% fewer senior staff.”

The decision is expected to affect about 4,000 bankers in the grades selected.

The bank has 88,000 employees in total, growing rapidly from about 44,000 in 2005.

Senate May Reject Amaechi, Fashola as Ministers
There are growing indications that the Senate may not confirm Hon. Rotimi Amaechi and Babatunde Raji Fashola as ministers following growing allegations of corruption during their tenure as executive governors of Rivers and Lagos states respectively.
A high-ranking PDP Senator from the South-South region told Business Journal on condition of anonymity in Abuja that the PDP-caucus at the Senate will make sure that both Amaechi and Fashola fail the ministerial confirmation hurdle.
The senator said: “It is unfortunate that Buhari who told Nigerians that only men and women of integrity would be on his ministerial list presented both men to the Senate for confirmation as ministers. Both of them are facing grave allegations of corruption in their various states. We would reject them.”
The second reason for the cloud of uncertainty over Amaechi and Fashola is the Code of Conduct trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
The PDP senator alleged that both Amaechi and Fashola were part of the APC leadership caucus that decided to humiliate Saraki over allegations of false declaration of assets.
“Let me tell you. Amaechi and Fashola were part of the APC conspiracy to drag Saraki to court over assets declaration. It is now payback time. Forget about them-they can’t scale the hurdle as ministers,” the senator insisted.
Amaechi is currently battling allegations of fraud over the sale and conversion of government power plants amounting to $302 million, payment of N4 billion to Clinoriv Specialist Hospital and another N1.5 billion to Messrs Collect Nigeria Limited. The matter is before the Justice Omereji-led Judicial Commission of Inquiry sitting in Port Harcourt.
For Fashola, there are also allegations of building a website for N78 million, amongst several other allegations of corrupt enrichment and mismanagement while in office.
