iluminati: HI ALL, THE TUITION FEE WE TRANSFERED TO MEMORIAL UNI IN CANADA SINCE LAST WEEK TUE WHICH IS EXACTLY ONE MONTH HAS NOT GOTTEN THERE AAND EMBASSY GAVE US JUST ONE MONTH DEADLINE TO SUBMIT RECEIPT PLS THOSE THAT HAVE PAID THEIR TUITION FEE, HOW LOND DID IT TAKE BEFORE YOUR SCH CONFIRMED THAT THEY HAVE RECEIVED IT? What do u advised us to do in thin case cos time is no more on our side.

@Iluminati just came ur self on the one month deadline given by the embassey, mine was like urs but alittle different ur file at the embassey would remain open for up to 19weeks. So hold on till u get reciept confirmation from the school. And send all the remaining Document request like Affidavit frm sponsor, hope u have done ur medicals? My paymen for my fees was done tru Master Card Dollar just took bout 2days and my reciept was sent.

Siga: ...If u are given a month single entry study visa which is wat Canada gives anywayz...it means u have to travel to Canada within that one month...for example...if ur visa was issued lets say Nov 1 and Expiry shows Nov 30....this means, u can still leave naija Nov 29 midnight, just make sure u step in front of Canadian immigration officer no later than Nov 29 @ 11:59pm....lol.....once u get here...ur visa will be voided and u get a Study permit that runs through your program....now, if u want to leave Canada at anytime...u will have to apply outside Canada...people mostly send their applications to Canadian embassies in US....my experience...I sent mine to Buffalo back then and was asked to come for an interview at the Canadian embassy....to do this I had to apply for a US visa which I was denied and this made the Canadian Embassy at Buffalo to deny my Multiple Entry Visa and bro...I stayed put for Canada till I finished school, got a job a month after then applied for PR through the Skilled Worker thingy....

At Siga u ar correct on Visa Expiry, but the Study Visa they give vary now depending on needs of the applicant. I knw some1 who was given 2yrs multiple entry study visa.

Siga: ...My friend....I was in the same situation as you over 10yrs ago when I went for my visa interview....and I must tell u i was refused at first and was interviewed by a Nigerian.....I went back a month after the refusal and was interviewed by a white guy and I was given the visa....I used a family friend as my sponsor, but I stated he is my cousin from my mother side and I wrote a letter stating that my mother raised him when his mother couldn't.....I said he made a promise to my mother when he graduated University to take care of me....and he also wrote a similar letter stating his promises and asked the embassy to help actualise this promise and be part of the success story....omo...na so we write am oooo...and funny enough...the white guy asked me about this...and omo boy don prepare story...I talk so tey the guy gave me visa...mind u...I claimed I worked in his company...made tax return receipts of 5yrs and few documents...I dont know how it is now...but I didnt go with more than 10 documents and letters....I hope this helps...someone in the house may have a better option....

Well Kaycee43 if u need info on all those send me ur email, I would gladly send that to u.. But on a general note I am going to a technical college for a 2yr Certificate course.. I hav a B.sc, my certificate and B.Sc course are Information technology inclined. My brother is my sponsor, it took me like 6months to get. After I did my medicals my visa came out like 3weeks. I had too pay my first year tution and submitt the original reciept of payment to the embassy along with birth cert of my sponsor and afidavit..

Hello, i need your informed contribution on this issue, i was given a 2yrs Canadian study visa for that starts september 2012, my program is a two year program that starts 2013 August. the issue is my Visa would expire like half way into my program. i initially i applied for 2years starting from 2012 September but due to the delay in granting my Visa bofre resumption i hard to differ my admission till next year september, as the course only have one admission circle an academic year. On the followup to my drop-off application i was asked to provide some other documents. i indicated also as part of the drop-off about a change in my admission time. But when the Visa came out it wasnt reflected. So am asking for those students in canada also for advise. Thanks.
