They are also guided by the belief that the colour red signifies “ Earth and blood” . Rather than take their baths , the women take a smoke bath and apply aromatic resins on their skin.

Give honour to whom it is due : This saying is applied differently in this tribe. When a visitor comes knocking , a man shows his approval and pleasure of seeing his guest by giving him the Okujepisa Omukazendu treatment . This practice literally means that his wife is given to his guest to spend the night while the husband sleeps in another room . In a case where there is no available room , her husband will sleep outside .

This handed down tradition has its “ benefits” in the community: it reduces jealousy and fosters relationships. The woman has little or no opinion in the decision making. Submission to her husband ’ s demands come first . She has an option of refusing to sleep with him but has to sleep in the same room as the guest .

She is also entitled to give her friends to her husband when they visit but this rarely happens .

What kind of hypocrite should voters choose as their next leader? The question seems utterly cynical. But, as it is actually much more cynical to pretend that politics can ever be completely sincere. The most dangerous form of political hypocrisy is to claim to have a politics without hypocrisy. Political Hypocrisy is a timely, and timeless activity among Nigeria politicians. we should accept hypocrisy as a fact of politics, but without resigning ourselves to it, let alone cynically embracing it. We should stop trying to eliminate every form of hypocrisy, and we should stop vainly searching for ideally authentic politicians. Instead, we should try to distinguish between harmless and harmful hypocrisies and should worry only about its most damaging varieties. What are the limits of truthfulness in politics? And when, where, and how should we expect our politicians to be honest with us, and about what? In Nigeria, my enemy’s enemy is my friend. That is what is currently the case in Nigeria as regards recent political events, especially within the camp of the ruling APC. People always want to say and write what would please the listeners and readers, rather than say things exactly the way they are. People want to impress those in power with fake support. If President Muhammadu Buhari is to succeed, he needs to caution or do away with people like the diminutive Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir el-Rufai. Whenever anything happens, he is always quick to react, without having a second thought, as if he is the spokesperson. Anytime el-Rufai lends his voice to national issues, it reinforces the belief that there are cabals within Buhari government. And Buhari seems to be helpless as he has been unable to keep these men where they truly belong. this same el-Rufai who struggled to provide reasonable answers as to what happened in Southern Kaduna will always come forward whenever bigger issues surface. This is when he has yet to solve his home-grown problem. In fact, there is no Nigerian leader that el-Rufai has not lambasted. And this is for nothing than to curry favour. And each time, his hypocrisy is always exposed. Just recently he attacked those calling for a restructured Nigeria. This was after he had supported it few years ago recently, Nigerians, especially politicians are suffering from unending capacity for deception. We tell ourselves so much lies, get so used to it and willingly substitute it for the truth. Added to this is our failure and refusal to learn from mistakes. Is el-Rufai not bothered about the silence of the chief initiator of APC, Tinubu? Was it not when Tinubu made the party popular that el-Rufai and other decided to join? We don’t learn from the past and that is politically suicidal. WE ARE WATCHING.

The latest PR coup for Pope Francis has seen him hire famous and revered children’s author JK Rowling to rewrite the Bible.
It is hoped the author, most famous for her Harry Potter series, can make it more accessible and believable for a new generation of Catholics and Christians.
While the specifics of the rewrite are not yet known, it is believed Rowling is tasked with producing a compelling tale that young Catholics and Christians can engage with. Figures such as Dementors and other popular creations may take the place of less realistic Biblical creatures such as unicorns and the leviathon.
“We are very happy Miss Rowling has agreed to the rewrite, we keenly await the first draft,” a Vatican insider told WWN.
Rowling’s selection has raised some eyebrows, but the decision by Pope Francis to select the wildly popular author is mainly due to commercial concerns.
“The sales of the Jesus Christ action figure have dropped by over 200% in the last 10 years, we are in need of new, compelling and toy-friendly characters…like the dinosaur in Toy Story,” a source close to the Pope told WWN.
“Our revenue streams are shrinking so the more Hollywood-esque the better,” the source concluded.
Rowling has thus far remained tight lipped on her vision for the Bible and its merry band of characters, but a number of Hollywood producers are in discussions to turn it into a movie.
In the last century, many Christian leaders have offered revisions on the interpretations of many of the Bible’s passages, but Rowling is expected to take a more drastic approach.

This is the Tsaragi-Bacita bridge, the bridge is located in Bacita, Edu local government area of kwara state.

The town Bacita was famous for the Nigerian Sugar Company (NISUCO) located at Bacita in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The company, NISUCO began operations in 1964 as the first integrated sugar factory in Nigeria. It boasted great potential for economic and social growth, not only for Kwara State but also the entire country.
No doubt, the company was the backbone of the town where over 70 per cent of the houses in the area, including a primary school that has graduated countless prominent people are located.
Yet the condition of this bridge linking the towns of Bacita and Tsaragi is nothing to write home about . According to some, the bridge is considered to be the worst bridge in Nigeria.
