jchioma: Honestly, it’s beginning to seem that children born these days are ancestors of the past. A 2 yr old will tell you, “mummy, let me feed myself”. And they are genius. Quick learners and fast talkers. They can recite the national anthem and even mention the 36 states and capitals in Nigeria.
There’s this lovable baby of about 2 years plus who insists on eating whatever everyone else is eating in the house, despite special provisions already made for her. We call her “small mama”. It's quite scary |

DAramis: But she is actually true with that statement.
Find a balance between freedom for him to be himself and state of being in control of his development (to know every actions have consequences and most especially for him not to grow up being entitled man....expecting everything to go his way always in life.)
Life is not a straight line curve. There will be ups and down in it. The earlier he knows it, the better for him and his expectations I appreciate you 🙏 |

Kobojunkieee: Your child does not seem special from your description⇢... he is just different from the others you are used to. Please, do not treat him specially or differently from the others, but at the same time, do not smother him.
⇢Parents should reserve the word Special for autistic children who need special care and attention around the clock. Thanks for this correction. Well noted |

79lauya: Special child. Is a tricky situation. He has a talent that need supervision, but need to allow him space to express himself. You can free most of the time if the actions wont negatively affect him. But control him where there are risks. Noted |

2mch: He may know what he wants but he’s also still 2. He needs to learn to follow rules and authority. So he must learn to do what his parents want him to do. Don’t beat him, just tell him strictly and you and your wife must stand together or he will use it against you. If one is telling him to do Something and the other is protecting him, it’s not good for that kind of child. If one parent has an instruction, both must see to it that the child listens. Thanks for this |

Right from his birth I knew there are unique things about this Young kid.
Here are some of the unusual observations 1. As early as six months after the completion of exclusive breastfeeding, he was introduced to other liquids the first thing we observed was that, whoever starts feeding him must finish the job. He won't accept from the mon if I started feeding him, vice versa.
2. From the age of 1, he doesn't need assistance from anyone. He attempts to do things all by himself. Try to support him while trying to master walking, he rejects your offer vehemently, force food into his mouth and he will eject it only for him to eat by himself. He vehemently rejects any kind of assistance offered to him.
3. Unlike his immediate elder brother, he doesn't watch cartoons, this boy tells me to play him music at the age of 2!!!
4. He knows exactly what he wants and he will always get it, anything else is unacceptable.
I tend to be too hard on him because he always wants a particular thing.
Experience parents in the house, what's your experience with such kids and how best did you handle them?

Dogalmighty17: Let us be brutally honest with ourselves now. Nigerian army is beginning to border on incompetent. These needless loss of lives can very well be avoided. Why is the army still fighting as if it is in the 90s? Why is it using incredibly outdated tactics?
I watch steadily the theatre of war that is Ukraine I see how simple cheap drones have become a game changer, stopping Russia in its paths. Drones have changed the game effectively stopping the advance of any attacking force from any direction.
This reason is why the United States last week made it mandatory that every division of the US army will be equipped with thousands of drones going forward.
Why sit and wait for an attack when drones gives you eyes in the sky, heads-up ability to spot the mass of the enemy as they advance and send attacking drones at them to disorient and dislodge them. The moment you are exchanging gunfire with an adversary it is already late.
That's why you will not see large scale infantry and mechanised attacks in Ukraine anymore. Drones have rendered those tactics obsolete.
These drones cost less than 5000 dollars. It is willful malice that every Nigerian FOB should not have tens or more of these deployed. The stand-off ability drones offer makes them an asset to any theatre.
Let's not forget the reconnaissance ability drones give. ISWAP and Boko Haram have camps they amass in and advance from. Drones give huge abilities to take the fight to these elements. Hearing news of the army always being on defense is becoming irritating. This is over 15 years of Boko Haram and ISWAP now. Have we not gathered enough intel to know the location of these camps? Why is it that we never read that Nigerian army has attacked the camp of the insurgents? Why is it always that the army has to be on the defensive against them?
The ultimate sacrifice men of the army have paid is inestimable and is deeply appreciated. But it is time to change tactics. The old ways don't work anymore. The government doesn't want to end the menace!!! The tactics of depending on AK-47 is outdated. Six months is enough to end the insecurity in Nigeria if the government is serious There's a place the id**ts attack from, after each attack, they safely go back to the same place, no one goes after them but waiting to repel them. If the DSS can't getting intelligence, it's better scrapped because politicians only use them against opposition while at the detriment of their primary objective |

JAMO84: So, insulting prophet Mohammed is part of freedom of expression?
If there's one thing I hate about being a Muslim, it is Islam forbidding me from insulting Jesus. If we can insult Jesus like those filts insult Mohammed, there would have been no need to get physical.
Blasphemy will continue to be dangerous, whether you all like it or not. Even Jesus was crucified for blasphemy, but I guess most Christians don't even know that.
Just keep your miserable opinions about other people's religion to yourselves, and everyone will be fine. I have always seen you Muslims as sub- human and that's not about to change. If your allah is that powerful, allow him to fight for himself when he's insulted, as a Christian, I have no business you when you insult my Almighty Jesus. If you repent you will see welcome |
