This was dangerously close to meh.... this close 👌🏿!.

I had a mini break off work this week, and i decided to jump on this because of the high praise it has been getting here, and in hindsight, i would've been totally fine, if i didn't see it at all 🤦🏿‍♂️.

I initially thought it was gonna be "White House Down" esque, but it unsurprisingly just dived into a doomsday, utopia mumble jumble, and immediately, i began to lose interest fast.

The episode one and two was solid, i give them that, they established what i thought would have been a good character arc and plot development, but it all just fell apart in from episode 3, with the plot just running into different directions with zero grip.
It all just became all too melodramatic, they basically just stole the ideas from various doomsday media before it, and tried to mix it all up, and it just came out bland. They put 90% of their cards on the table earlier on, so much so that they had no element of surprise left to hold any sort of suspense, they tried to remedy this in the last episode by throwing in one nonsensical surprise that had almost nothing to do with the story to begin with, they just did it, to elicit some kind of "wow" moment, but it was just blunt, and i was counting the minutes till i was done with the entire thing at that point.

The show runners just dragged this, long enough so they can egg out an undeserving second season, which i am near sure it is going to end in cancellation, because the plot didn't move well significantly past Episode 3, so imagine they have a second season of this horseshït

I wouldn't want to fault those who rated it, highly, because seeing it, one episode per week might have added some kind of intrigue for them, but binging it all at once, i saw the show for what it really is.....a ruse

Now, is it watchable? Yes of course, if you have 8 hours or so to kill, but will you be missing out on anything if you didn't see it....an emphatic, never been so sure in my life, NO!

I like Slot but he should change his dull start aka control tact in games esp at anfield!
At anfield, opponents need to be harassed and intimidated 20 mins into the game!
I hate to say this but this is why many managers still fear Jurgen klopp and are glad to see him not managing any club!
His style of play aka gengepress will unsettle any confident opponent!
PSG were literally having a field day at anfield and wondered if there was really a fear factor at a stadium that even the best of players crumble!
Well let's cut slot some slack...it's his first season and he has overachieved!
He will have a lot to learn next summer with possible new recruitments that will help the team compete better next season!

For outgoing players,I would love Nunez to stay but it's inevitable that he might leave possibly to a Saudi club or maybe Spain!
Elliot still has so much to prove but hasn't been given enough games!
Jones is a Scouser...he will likely stay and fight for his place!
Gomez is a versatile player and Slot will need him at specific periods in the season!
Endo will likely leave but I'm happy that he will definitely get an EPL title!
He is one player that Slot failed to see his immense value in the squad!
Kelleher will likely which is alright considering that he needs to be number 1 in another club!
Slot needs a DM,a LB possibly a Kerkez or Robinson,and a striker!

well it has cost us .. I was saying the same thing .. klopp style again that PSG side would have given us a win ..

PSG were the one gengen pressing us without leaving any space .. Even gravenberch no really do that him sublime turning away from opponents .. it's like the min one of our touches the ball they move in drives to press the players and then again we don't have players in the right space to receive a pass . I noticed we try to gengen press them esp at the front but the PSG players moved the ball fast ...

I saw scenario ls where we could be direct after winning the ball but choose to pass back.

Our wing play directness too seems dead .. It feels like it's the sole reason why Diaz is struggling .. He prefer direct balls where he could sprint and dribble instead of cutting in and making a cross or passing ..
The only person this is suited for his gakpo . He's good at it ..

I think the dull game is premeditated.. it's like a planned stuff to understudy the opponents style of play cause at second half we tend to play more directly..


I don't see Endo leaving.. I think he's also comfortable being a squad player...

Nunez sales is inevitable now . There no way he's staying. Luis Diaz too, I'm kind of skeptical of him staying , barca really wants him .

i think he has the striker drop in the middle to fill up the midfield but jota didn't interpret the role very well. . only Darwin and Luis Diaz interpret the role very well ..

Reason why I needed him to start darwin in this match .. Darwin has the intensity to press , make runs that would have drawn dome attention of Salah ..

Salah did not just fail to perform for no reason. He failed because of the coach (Slot) style and formation.

My analysis:

Slot is using Zobo and McAlister at the middle, but both players are too far from Salah and Arnold is not getting closer either because of his defensive lapses. Indirectly, our 3 midfielders are more focused on the defence. They always give Salah long balls and the defenders are always closing on him. Before he waits for his fellow players to come close, the opposition defenders will attack him and get the ball off him.

he brought them in to win the match. The man didn't have penalty insight .. his bringing Nunez in is justifiable but Curtis in that midfield was wrong . Bringing Elliott in would have been way better than Curtis...
