Please Glithronix baba much respect cut soap for me e be like say u get format.

Show me way abegooooo dis prices dey fear me grin
Until you activate Uber and Bolt app, you will come to term with the reality of the current price.

No app is better than the other. You just have to be super selective of what trip to accept and where to go.

I normally work within Shomolu, Yaba, Surulere, Anthony, Ojota/Ogudu, Gbagada, in fact the whole of Kosofe, some part of Mushin. The farthest I can go is Ikeja.

It surges slightly within these areas and you can afford to select trips.

If you go places like Ikorodu, Alimosho, etc, you're on your own

InDrive and their crazy business pattern. Now, even when you have bonus, they need you to always have money in your wallet, cos what they do now is take small from your bonus, and also take from your wallet.
Indrive deduct my money for every cancelled trip. Is that how they do it now? Whether I'm 20 minutes away from the rider, they would still deduct my money once I or the rider cancels. That app company is going really crazy.

I don't blame them

I see some trips on indrive and I'm like WTF...people now price trips like it is Okada that is coming to pick them.
Bolt and Uber are now worse than Indrive. In fact, most riders cancel Indrive trips after drivers are bidding higher and they check Bolt to see that the price is way cheaper than the original price they put on Indrive.

Bolt will give you a 25 minutes, 7.7km trip and the net is 2700 naira.

Even riders are surprised at the ridiculous prices Bolt is charging. Some are asking if Bolt is doing promo or what.

This doesn't make sense at all

Another reason I prefer Uber. Destination shows to the precise house number and building or shop name where available. Bolt destination can be ambiguous. Sometimes you'll see Ikeja, when you start trip na mangoro the person de go.
Uber just works.
For the newbies if you can, register on Uber. The onboarding may be more stringent and they charge a higher commission but for your peace of mind Uber is the best app to begin with.
Uber with low fares, high commission, fewer request.

And they're all scams. When Uber mean to scam you of your hard earned bonus, they'll not look back.

The work is depressing

The app companies now show destination, after much ado. But I still ask just to be sure u are going to Ketu not Ikorodu, or Yaba not inside Bariga, or Ikeja GRA not Agege
Instead of this, I do screenshot the request as it is coming on Bolt and look up the address on the map.

Bolt just like the others are all scam. They could put the option for drivers to continue to see the drop off destination after picking the request as it currently is on Indrive but they wouldn't do that
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by DEGREE2466(m): 5:34pm On May 10, 2025
Indrive na scam. See this request now. The rider said he or she isn't ready yet and I couldn't cancel the ride with rider didn't show despite staying over 5 minutes at the pickup point until I chose another option and they scammed me of my 700 naira.

I lost my fuel, time, and still lost money join. These app companies are fraudulent and scam

She hid her phone number and refused to pick my inapp calls and this is at Tejuosho market, meaning that's she's actively still shopping while booking a ride

The driver no serious. He should have added the local government and start mentioning the locations to the rider nah (shioor).
However, generally, once you descend 3mb, you're already on the mainland.
Same with when you're going to the island.
3mb is between both lands.
It is well.

Much respect, baba.
You don't seem to understand the issue. The issue here is that the driver has an appointment that is already close so he doesn't want to go far away from the Lagos Mainland local government areas.

But then, he must have seen the location when he picked

@DEGREE2466

I'm confused.
Ikeja is on mainland nah.
Abi you didn't get the gist well ni?

Much respect, baba.
Mainland local government is Yaba, Iwaya, Makoko, Oyingbo, Ebute Metta, Iddo.

If you get a ride going to Ikeja, you'll first see Ikeja, then the exact location. Same with when you get a ride going to Yaba, you'll first see, Lagos Mainland, then the location
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by DEGREE2466(m): 10:39am On May 10, 2025
Yesterday, I picked a rider at Shomolu going to Ikeja GRA. The rider was on a call and was complaining to someone that the first driver that picked her ride cancelled after she waited for 15 minutes for the driver to arrive.

She said that when the driver got to where she was, he asked her where she's going? And she was like, didn't you see my destination before picking the right? The driver said, no. And she said, I'm going to Ikeja. So the driver said, no, I'm not going to Ikeja. I thought I saw Lagos mainland as your destination. That he's not willing to go as far as Ikeja. That he just wants to work within Lagos Mainland and Shomolu. So after much talk, he had to cancel the ride.

The rider had to wait outside and book another ride. She felt so frustrated to have waited that long only for the driver to cancel.

Some of us, the drivers, are part of the cause of the rider's behavior. Because we do things that make the person now choose to waste the driver's time instead of theirs. You see them book the ride like 15 to 20 minutes ahead in case of disappointments like this.

If a driver knows that he wants to work within a specific area, the best thing is to use apps like inDrive that allows you to choose within where you want to work. Instead of of using Bolt that you know that will throw any request your way

Went to pick up my friend from the airport and I ordered a ride

No driver was willing to go for the amount on the app. 15k to Phase 1. All of them will accept, and cajole me to pay 20k.

I think you guys here are the best, and will make heaven.

The whole first floor of the parking lot just be like Mazamaza or Utako.
This is becoming a menace. These are not the regular ehailing drivers, they are cabals that have had a meeting within themselves to extort airport passengers.

These drivers will prevent other ehailing drivers from coming to the airport to pick the passengers at the app price.

I wonder why Bolt cannot send their undercover agents to fish these bastards out and block their sorry ass.

They did the same thing to my sister, two days ago at MM1. From airport to shomolu that app showed 6500, the driver forced my sister to pay 10k offline.

I mean, as smart as Bolt is, it should be easy for them to fish these criminals out.

Did they give you any reason why it was rejected? Bcuz mine was accepted
The major reason they rejected it was because my date of birth is not legible enough due to the color that it was printed with.

But when you look at it physically, you will see it faintly. I thought getting it uploaded by their staff will make them approve it but hell no.

Go to their office to rectify it
Uber is m@d actually. You can't imagine that after visiting their office at Maryland mall and snapping with both my expired and temporary license, they still rejected it.

I have not been able to use Uber since December 22nd, 2024 till date and my permanent licence is taking forever.

Thank God for Bolt and Indrive. This is why competition is good. Imagine Uber is the only ehailing app? I would have not been able to work for how many months now?

In as much as I want to hate Indrive for crashing the market price, they still helped to put Bolt in their place. We all know how difficult it was to get Bolt bonus with ridiculous conditions compared to now that only number of completed trips count, and other policies that Bolt relaxed or implemented because of indrive which seemed impossible for them to do earlier despite the complains of drivers.

So, I'm not hating on any app. I just maximise my earnings using all. While they try to use you, try to use them too. Sometimes I intentionally accept trips on both apps and cancel the one I feel is less lucrative. No pity for any app or rider, just keep your eyes on the money.

Biodun1929:
I said in the original post I do strictly indrive. I do it cos I can kinda control where I go. Not Like Bolt that throws you anywhere, and you ratings keep dropping the more you reject rides.

About fuel in the car. The gauge was right where it was before I bought the fuel in the morning. So, I more or less used up the whole 25k fuel.
If you can go to Ikorodu and Ikotun on Indrive, wheres the worst place Bolt can send you? You said Bolt forces you to go anywhere, but they don't.

Indrive will stain your white with their ridiculous prices. I'm sure the riders you carried counted themselves lucky to ride with you at such a cheap price.

Forget the bad things you hear about Bolt. Even a die hard Indrive driver will tell you that Bolt earning is more predictable than Indrive own. If I set my daily gross at 70k minimum on Bolt, I'm most likely to hit it consistently. You can't guarantee that on Indrive, and when you try to force yourself to take any trips, your net will suffer because you'll use more fuel.

The best thing is to know when to use either of the apps to maximise your income. Rainy season is here with us, you cannot force indrive riders to accept a higher price no matter the condition, Bolt riders are used to surge prices as a result of rain and/or other similar conditions.

I am thinking of bond but I don't know about it and how she will go about it,

Also is bond a risk free like Treasury bills
Mutual funds is still an option. She will be paid the interest monthly into a different bank account if she wants.

It can act as a monthly salary to her. She can earn between 80k to 100k monthly from the 5 million

Thanks a bunch smiley smiley
I have a girl that is all that beautiful that a lot of guys would want but she's got some serious character flaws that's making me think twice about my decision to be with her. She's also scared to let me go because, she's concerned, no man with a sound self-esteem will tolerate her and I'm guessing that's the case with you.

So no matter how Nairaland people want to console you and give you hope, only you know the true situation of things in your relationship.

From what I can tell by your writeup, he's leaving you based on your behaviours and he's a good guy, thus you're scared you'll never meet someone as good as he is that will tolerate your bad behaviour.

These are behaviours women need to stop if they want to last in a relationship
1. Anger issue
2. Hurtful words
3. Disrespect
4. Disregard for a man's feelings
5. Selfishness
6. Unfaithfulness
7. Telling lies
8. Untrustworthy
9. Laziness
10. Stubbornness

And many more.
