I have been using MTN eSim for quite sometime now and everything seems ok the service is good and all browsing speed is also ok. So whey then do most people go for physical sum of a phone brand provides both options?

You can try out this app (Mi MDev) for various MTN mifi and routers. It currently has support for information about the network, data usage, SMS, USSD and more for your router's and mifi.
Support for more MTN devices is constantly being worked on.

Mine's the reverse. Can only connect to ZTE router/ browse through my Huawei smartphone & Amazon tab on 2G but not on any of my laptops. Have to figure out WTH is going on here.
