I have not seen any except for few Indians. If you have put together your documents with a convincing reference letter showing job descriptions of a MC, then you should be fine.
What's your educational qualifications?
Thank you for responding.
I have a Master of Business Administration in Oil and Gas Management and I’ve done a bit of consulting in this area. I’m just curious as to why MC has a high occupation ceiling each year yet less than 10 percent ITA is issued. Could it be that Vetassess is tough with their scrutiny or we don’t have a lot of Management Consultants interested in applying? In any case I’ll give it a shot soon.

I have updated the front page information to include points calculation for the new Visa 491.
Hi Bellong. Must commend the awesome work you have been doing here.

Has anyone here done assessment with Vetassess as a Management Consultant? I’m currently putting paperwork together for assessment but would love to chat with someone who has done this before. I have been following the chats but can’t find any info on Management Consultants. Would be glad to share ideas with anyone, please.

What do you have to say about courses that are not on SOL but on CSOL. I have offer for petroleum engineering. The course is on CSOL. Should I go ahead with the acceptance?
Are you very sure Pet Engineering is on the CSOL? Double check pls. If it is, then go for it. But to be candid with you, and this is the kind of advise I would give to a dear friend or a relative, the petroleum industry currently in Australia is not vibrant and there are no signs of it picking up. Chances of landing a job in this area is slim. If you can go for a course that would afford wider chances of getting employment I would say go for it.

Another advise for everyone trying to get in, especially if your are planning to study and work simultaneously, I would strongly advise you consider the location of a Uni before opting for it. It is difficult to find jobs outside big cities. Try to get a uni located in big and vibrant cities like Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane etc. And also try to be sure your campus of study is also in the city, not just the University. For instance, RMIT has two campuses: City campus and Bundoora. There are no jobs in Bundoora so if you plan on working while you are studying in Melbourne be sure that your course are offered in the City campus. I'm speaking from experience guys.

Marcus01:
so it means courses not on the PR list won't be allowed to stay after?
Better to be direct with you. Courses not on the SOL list are a no no if you intend to stay back in Australia. Just drop that course and look for another listed course that will enable you get a PR after your studies.

TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by DEINDIK(m): 10:40pm On Jan 26, 2017
It's a little complicated but i know the second instalment will be required of you upon conclusion of 1st semester (1st 12 weeks of study) and the fee payable will be calculated based on the amount of workload chosen by you. Yeah i know it is getting complicated but don't sweat it. The information will become clearer as time goes on.
Llexnet:
Oh, Okay... Good to know there is another RMIT here...

If you don't mind I will like to ask how you pay the second half of the tuition?

The whole thing is confusing.........

TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by DEINDIK(m): 5:54pm On Jan 25, 2017
There is July intake for Social Work, except it has been recently changed.
SegunWamiri:
I guess it's not applicable to all programs
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by DEINDIK(m): 5:50pm On Jan 25, 2017
Yes, PFL is a certified agent for RMIT. Yes, no statement of account submitted to the school and embassy. I can't say whether there is a financial guarantee on the part of the scool and immigration. My wife's first degree is in Sociology so i believe you are good to go. [
omokay80:
Congratulations.pls is pfl the recognised agent to handle RMIT admissions?or you just use them for visa processing? also, you said no statement of account submitted.does that mean there was no financial guarantee on the part of the school and the immigration?pls kindly educate me more on this because I am about to apply for masters in social works against Feb 2018 and my undergraduate is in sociology and anthropology. Thanks.
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by DEINDIK(m): 5:30pm On Jan 24, 2017
Thanks. She read Sociology in her First Degree. Also has a Masters Degree in HR from a UK University. I guess that's why english test was not required of her by RMIT.
BADNEAT:
congratulations...what was her first degree

It's student visa. I am clear on this now. Thanks guys.
BADNEAT:
student visa abi tourist?never heard of that here or any other place
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by DEINDIK(m): 6:06pm On Jan 20, 2017
Yeah, it's not possible to book a return beyond a year. Thanks alot for the information.
SegunWamiri:
Try booking a ticket with a return date almost two years after your intended outbound date and see if it is possible smiley In fact, I don't think one can book for a one year interval.

In essence, they would never ask a student intending to study for two years for a return ticket.
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by DEINDIK(m): 3:57pm On Jan 20, 2017
Ok, thanks BADNEAT. Someone told me you would be asked at the airport why you don't have a return ticket so I became curious.
TravelRe: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by DEINDIK(m): 1:03pm On Jan 20, 2017
Hello guys, Please i'd like to know. As a student embarking on a two year study, Is one likely to have issues at the Australian airport if you take a One Way flight? In other words, must you book a Return flight? I need answers from all Nairalanders who have experience with this, please.
Llexnet:
Hmmm, 700k is much oo, I spent like forever on cheap flight and all of I get naa foreign currency. I decide to use wakanow.

If you don't mind Etihad you can check them out. Etihad from wakanow is the cheapest right now, I even compared with travelstart.

Congrats mate. I am applying with my wife as her dependant. She got admission at RMIT MELBOURNE for Social Work. No English Test, no SOA. She also got admission with Macquarie, no english test, no SOA too, even with scholarship of AUD5000, earlier but changed her mind and opted for RMIT. We are currently in Abuja for our application. Biometrics done, medicals partly done with only Urinalysis remaining for her. We hope to conclude medicals on wednesday.
