Pain in your tummy after you have vomited may be as a result of the the force and pressure exerted on the tummy in the process of vomiting. But if its severe pain like you said, you may want to speak with your doctor again about.

From my various hospital visit experience oo, this your folic acid is very good, please continue using it, it comes with B6 and B12 that is a plus on its own. [b[b]]maybe the clinic has some drugs they sell to pregnant woman[/b][/b] and they felt you might say no since you are already using folic acid.

The drug is ok ...it says 400mcg not 400mg. Check the content well

400mcg is equal to 1mg of folic acid


Mg is higher than mcg


And there is no folic acid anywhere that is more than 5mg..

I think she should increase her dose to 5mg...u can look for emzor folic .....400mcg is 4 like those planning to get pregnant...once u become pregnant u increase the dose to 5 mg

Nne i feel you would have probe further to know why s/he made that statement, I wouldn't advice you to do or not to do otherwise, you alone know the convo that led to that. Are you taking a different type of folic acid?? That's the question on my mind. I would advice that you seek a second opinion by that I mean "another doctor's opinion"

Modified: @ bolded pls go for malaria and typhoid test o. I had same symptoms and funny enough same weeks as yours and I was treated for malaria

Any word that has reach d child bearing age must start taking at least 400mcg of folic acid...don't even miss that important drugs.

Secondly u can register for antenatal as early as u want if u are having high risk pregnancy

Thirdly change ur hospital the earlier d best

if ur doctor said don't take it now,then don't, those feeling u are having happens to many pregnant women,u will be surprised to know that drugs don't always cure it,just hang on,it will pass with time,by the way,u can still go to another hospital to confirm. remain blessed

Hi,

1. Antenatal at 12 weeks - yes

2. Stop folic acid - don't try this please, take it religiously

3. Don't take PCM abeg. Instead run a malaria test just to check. if you don't have malaria take the weakness as part of your package. Just eat well and take your folic acid

Continue with folic acid and register in another Hosp If possible when you're about 12weeks, that's when most Hosp start antenatal. but if you have any complain don't hesitate to go to the hospital

All your symptoms are packages of first trimester, so they are normal. It will get better in second trimester.
Folic acid is compulsory at least for the first 12weeks of conception.
Some naija doctors sef.......hmmmm. Happy bumping mama!

Only God knows how some Doctor pass their medical college, my sister, though I am not pregnant yet, but I can tell that one of the most important drugs not to joke with as a woman is folic acid, please continue taking your folic acid. other preggy mamas will attend to your questions about tiredness once they comes online. Happy and healthy 9 months to you.
