Good morning mamas
Pls, there’s this spot at the back of my baby’s head. It makes the place bald with no hair on the spot. What can i use to correct it?

She also has rash that has refused to go even with constant use of sudocream

hmmmn... Maybe she is in sm kind of pain... Did she got injection of recent? If yes, she is probably in pain... When my son went for dt 41days immunization or he keeps throwing up his hands n was quite through out d day ( e is a very lively baby) so i noticed something ws wrong quickly .. I didnt knw wat 2 do, so i just gave him paracetamol n e got okay immediately. Try d paracetamol first if no changes... Go c a doctor pls...

No, she didn’t. And when she’s doing this, it doesn’t show on her face if she’s going through pain.

Please, I have an issue that’s giving me concern.
My baby of 8weeks keeps throwing her hands and legs. She does this almost every time, even when you carry her, she keeps swinging both hands and legs vigorously. I’m worried, what can I do to stop this?

Hi. Did you get a remedy to this. Mine of almost 4 weeks have experienced this like three times.

I used pillow to elevate her head, but she changes position always. I was just vigilant and always kept eyes on her, though it deprived me of sleep.
But she’s outgrowing it now. It’s better now

Saliva? or breastmilk? My baby choked on saliva on the very first day I gave birth to her and was told it was because she wasn't getting enough milk. I think yours should be breastmilk. Ensure she's always burped before laying her down. Also, you can put a small flat pillow under her mattress to raise her head a little.

I used to think it was breast milk, but it’s saliva. She secretes a lot of saliva and she chokes when she’s about to wake up cos she swallows plenty at once. I also make sure she’s well burped before lying her down. I presently use a pillow, but she changes position often which makes her leave the pillow area.
This keeps me awake most times coz I always have to be at alert

My 5 weeks old baby keeps choking on her saliva when she’s trying to wake up. This makes breathing difficult when it happens and I have to pat her back to clear it.
What could be the cause of this and what can I do to stop reoccurrence

It's very normal momma. She's just trying to figure out which muscle to contract that'll make the poop come out. Sometimes it frustrates her when she tries and she can't get the poop out, hence the grunts and cries. But she'll outgrow it when she's 3-4months tops.

In the meantime, there's a trick to help the girl-child with this. Steadily pouring warm water from a little distance on her labia during bath time helps them to contract the right muscles instinctively. When pouring the WARM water, she'll pee and poop. Keep pouring until she empties her bowel(you'll know it's empty when she's pushing and no poop is coming again). Sometimes she'll just pee and no poop.. Just means there's no poop in her bowel at that time. If you do this, she won't grunt as much again cos she doesn't feel the need to poop.

I don't think there's a trick in this aspect for the boy child... At least none I know of.

My pregnancy was smooth except for the normal MS in the first and last trimester especially vomiting. I worked throughout my pregnancy and some days were better than others.
Started my maternity leave on the 24th of June and I started taking pineapple and disturbing DH for the other business...lol

Contractions started on the night of 27th, but wasn’t so serious, so I endured cos as a first time mom, I’ve read that we shouldn’t rush to the hospital but start the first stage of labour at home so as to progress fast.

On the 28th, no noticeable contraction, and I didn’t even put my mind to it coz I was home with DH and the day progressed really fast.
Another working week began on the 29th and I was just filled with the fear that I was home alone as my husband had gone to work.
I tried to discard the fear and just brazen up.
My mind kept telling me I might go into labour, so I decided to do everything I wanted to do fast immediately my DH left for work.
I had my bath, ate breakfast and dropped my hospital bag at the entrance of the door, just in case...lol

Around 10am, I decided to start timing the contractions as it was getting stronger and more frequent, but I still decided to wait cos the pain was still bearable.
I slept and woke up, but time was just dragging. I kept monitoring it and expecting another sign just to know it’s time to go to the hospital cos as a first time mum, I didn’t know what to expect. So, I kept wiping to check if I had lost mucus plug or anything, yet, nothing.

When it was 3pm, I decided I had to start going to the hospital cos it was about to rain and I didn’t want to be stranded. Better to be at the hospital early than starting labor at home all by myself. That was how I requested for a ride and dragged myself to the hospital

Got to the hospital around 4pm, didn’t even know what to tell the nurses, I managed to tell them it’s like I’m in labor, but not sure. They took my vitals and directed me to a female doctor. When I got in, the first thing I checked was her finger cos I knew I was going to be examined.
Her fingers weren’t so thick and when she checked me, she was like she can’t even locate the cervix, like it’s still closed. I’m like, check again pls, she checked again and reluctantly said I was less than 2cm dilated but I would be admitted. I knew she probably said that to make me feel better. That was when I knew I was in for it.

The pain was bearable before the VE, but after I was checked, the pain increased.

I was admitted and then, time refused to tick. In my mind, it was like a minute was an hour. I tried all the techniques I learned, but none seemed to be working. Tried to sleep, I couldn’t.

Around 6pm, the gynae came to check me with his big fingers and said I was less than 2cm dilated and said he’d check back in 3 hrs. It confirmed my thoughts on what the other doctor said. I can’t explain how I felt, but I knew it would end.

My DH came and I gave him the update and he tried consoling me, though nothing entered my head.

Fast forward to 9pm, he came back to check me. Come and see the way I was fighting this man when he was twisting and turning his finger inside me. Mother’s Dey try abeg.
After the fights and all, he said I was just 2.5cm dilated. IMAGINE!!!

This is getting too long already, let me try and summarize.
He came to check me around 12am and told me I was 5cm dilated. At least, that was progress and I was moved to the labour room. The gynae said he was going to break my water manually so labour can progress faster. After several hours of being in pain after my water was broken, he said I wasn’t dilating more than the 5cm and we’d have to do CS.
Was told my pelvic bone wasn’t giving way for the baby to descend and that when my water was broken, meconium was found in the water, so baby was in distress.

My heart broke. I’m like, after all the pain I’ve endured, why didn’t I just go for CS at first.

My husband had to call his brother that’s a doctor in the U.S to give him the update and what they resolved to do. He spoke to the gynae at length and he was of the opinion that since I’m a FT mum, if given time, I can still deliver myself.

My brother in law was certain that there was no cause for alarm, but the gynae was already getting confrontational as if he was teaching him his job and he kept saying I couldn’t deliver on my own and that the baby was in distress, but the heart rate was normal each time it was checked.

This was around 6am I think. They called the CS team to come in and gave my husband the form to fill.
I was wheeled to the theater some minutes to 8am and my baby was brought out at 8.02am weighing 3.2kg on the 30th of June.
My husband was inside throughout and you needed to see the way my baby girl was screaming out her lungs, she was so active for a baby they claimed to be in distress.

I thank God everything was successful. Mother, daughter (Krystal) and daddy are doing okay.

My fellow team july Mama's,please is ur baby's movement as much as b4 now..mine is not as regular as before.i did scan on Friday last week and everything was ok.but I'm starting to freak out again cos the movement is not as before..
I need response from other Mama's pls.currently 36weeks +.

Please does movement reduce when one is getting close to due date.

You might need to go to the hospital, but since scan showed everything was fine, you should be good.
But just to put your mind at rest, go see your doctor.
They say baby moves less when you’re getting close, but I still feel the movement intensely and I’m 38 weeks

We are waiting for babies to start dropping o. Me, I am so looking forward to seeing her. The thing is that I did 1 hour walking for about 4 to 5 days, but later replaced it with climbing staircase and taking 400 steps of it every night cos it seemed tougher. Yet, this baby is still rubbing pancake.

Please, mamas, make una raise voice to God to help us. The weight now is not funny, and getting up from bed with heavy Vijay and pelvic bone isn't funny at all. Can't wait to drop my BA and BS.

yes baby may have descended/ engaged. It is normal.
I doubt there's anything one can use to ease the pain.... You can complain to your doc on your next appointment . God will see us through

Teamie, so sorry for the pains, it will end in joy when you hold your lo. However, I don't know if it is normal or will be like that till you deliver as I also feel the same pain when I turn while lying down. I await sabi mamas to rely too so we'll learn.

Pls, I’ve been having this lower abdominal pain for some days now, it affects me when I walk, also when I try standing up or changing position. I thought it would go with time, but it’s been there and uncomfortable

Is this normal please? Some said the baby has descended, but I’m 33 weeks, is this how it will be till I deliver? Or is there something I can use/do to ease the pain

Hi everyone, Team July. Clocks 29 weeks today. Please I need your help, my baby don't really kicks like much, whenever I complained at the hospital, they will check the heartbeat and sometimes scan and the baby will be fine. Last 2 days I noticed she changed her pattern, it's only when lie down on my left side that I felt her kick . I have anterior plancenta, can this be the cause? My next appointment is may 20 and this will be done through Video calls due to coronavirus lockdown. Hence I can only CA the emergency if there's any issue. The baby kicks, but the kick is not much and only when I lie down on my left and side.please help

I experienced this around 29 weeks too. Baby movement reduced and i was worried, but i searched online and read that once baby kicks up to 10 times in 2 hrs, everything is fine. Maybe it's peculiar with the week, cos movement is back to how it used to be. Presently at 31 weeks.

July mamas where are we,how are we coping with lock down and baby kicks? I know the tiredness and waist pain with insomnia is there too but hang on a little bit cos we're getting there gradually. However, we've been so quiet and our cappo please holla at us once in a while ooo. We miss you and I know the tiredness is there too.
