AutoJoshNG: Hello Delaw6,
Always study your car user manual as it knows more than your mechanic. The recommended engine oil for your car is SAE 5W-30 and make sure it has the API (American Petroleum Institute) seal. This is assuming your Corolla is the American spec.
Autojoshng obitryce: I believe what should be considered is the oil spec/ type you have been using before. Example 5w20, 5w30 etc. You could make use of another but with the same oil spec/type. AutoJoshNG: Hello Delaw6,

Pls I need an advice here. I am using Toyota corolla 2005 . currently I am using oando and its due for service but I can not get it around my area. The question here is, can I change from oando engine oil to either Mobil or total or any that is available in my location? Pls tell me benefits or implication of changing the brand of engine oil in my car. |
