This is one of Jumia's most popular scam. I applied for this sometimes ago.

They make you pay for registration and tell you if you do not make sales or invite people within a particular period of time, your registration will be deactivated.

When I first heard this, I was against the idea. Why was I against it?

Prior to the coming of Jumia to Nigeria, I had been a strong internet user/worker. I had seen several referral/affiliate programs (the Jumia sales consultant program is a referral/affiliate program too) but I never saw any of such programs that asked people to pay money to join and told them their membership is deactivated later along the line.

For me, I think the payment is either a scam ran by some Jumia staff or the entire company.

I advice you avoid it cos it is not realistic and friendly in any way.
