From The Information Gathered By News Crew, One person was confirmed dead and four others seriously injured after the driver of a Mark Truck with Registration KK837JJJ lost control while in motion along Upper Iweka by old defunct NITEL Onitsha, hit pedestrians and equally ran into a tricycle with REG number FGG455XA at about 5pm on Friday, October 2.

According to the state police command spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, police operatives attached to CPS Onitsha quickly mobilized to the scene and rushed victims to Toronto hospital where the doctor confirmed one person dead on arrival while four others are responding to treatment, Reports.

Haruna said the corpse of the dead victim has been deposited at the mortuary for postmortem Examination.

He added that the Truck driver escaped and effort is being intensified to get him arrested, Reports.

Haruna said the case is now being investigated to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
