My reapplication has taken more about 4 weeks now.
They just sent me this email today after sending me an email on the 23rd of December that my application has arrived their office, it’s now taking them like 2 weeks to even start considering it.
I think there’s a huge load on them, so if your application is delayed, just be patient.
Funny enough I don’t even need this UK visa again, I already got an E-Visa to visit South Africa. 🇿🇦
They should do their review and return my passport.

Congratulations. I did a paid call earlier this week and I was told a decision has been made but I haven't gotten an update from VFS. My intended travel date is tomorrow and still no update.

She did her biometrics on 20th Dec.

Hi Demmybim, have you picked up your passport and was it approved? My sis had their biometrics on the 11 Dec, got the same email as below on Friday last week, she just picked up their passports now but there's nothing in it and we did not receive any refusal email.

Just returned from UK today.

Super tired.

Was a mixed holiday, as I lost an uncle on Christmas Day. First time experiencing how people pass away in the UK, going to Kings College Hospital to see the body moved to the Morgue. 😢 😭

As we do know from UK pattern, if you're told to come for Collection, most times Visa is granted

Please I opted for courier delivery from VFS for passport. I have received an email that the passport has been dispatched via courier . I was expecting a follow up mail with courier details and tracking number but nothing till now. Does anyone have helpful details on this issue . Kindly help

Same here, did mine on the 20th, got a mail that my application has been transferred to UKVI. And based on the tracker, its currently awaiting decision from UKVI.

I just hope to get a response soon.

Sister had on 13 December nothing aside an email stating that they may be unable to meet timelines due to operational restrictions which was received on 17th. Is yours a visit visa as well?

Because in mine as well I travelled to Rwanda and stated it, they said I have no travel history

So sorry for the refusals. I hope your mum isn't too upset. My thoughts:

1. Don't reapply now. It will `be a red flag

2. Reduce the sponsorship figure. N1.5M is a bit high. Reduce it to between 900k and N1M. I assume someone will accomodate and feed your mum in the Uk. Therefore, she doesn't need a lot of money from her sponsor

3. Retirees are usually a suspect. The ECO will suspect she might want to stay in the UK since she's not working in Nigeria and she doesn't have any serious business she is doing here. Therefore, it is important that you prove her ties to Nigeria. In summary, what will make her come back to Nigeria? You need to prove that.

4. Also, the allowances she receives must be consistent every month. That helps to prove her source of income.

5. In future, it might be better to over estimate her monthly expenses rather than under estimate. I do that for my aged mother because sometimes, she might need to pay for something in one month which will increase her expenses for that month.
