Legal migration shouldn't be a thing of concern since the government allows it. Concerns should be on illegal migration and I doubt if the government is doing enough about it. At least, let them be vocal as they were with dependants, study visa and psw. Even if it is for pretence.

Not quite.

The fact that the government allows it doesn’t stop people from being concerned about it.

Do you agree with everything the Nigerian government allowed and allows today?

Legal migration becomes a concern when the levels are too high and when the system is being abused e.g. the care visa racketeering.

People complained when the figures were around 200k before Brexit, so of course they will complain even louder now the figures are in the region of 700k. Hence why the government introduced a raft of measures in the last year to bring levels down.

The government and media are more vocal about asylum seekers, there's even now a minister for illegal migration which is a first.

It's a dicey one, not much room for legal manoeuvre as there is no right of appeal or admin review.

There is however a chance that given the news being picked up by the BBC and Guardian, the university will relent on those who have paid up outstanding fees and re-enrol them.

"...news being picked up by the BBC and Guardian.." I noticed that you wrote the bolded/quoted twice now. What's the implication? Does it always lead to positive outcomes?

Not always. It depends on how much traction the news creates and the facts of the case and if the general feeling is that the university has been unfair or unreasonable - in which case the university might relent in order to protect their image.

Being concerned about rising levels of immigration doesn't automatically make one a racist. If so then your party leader and shadow home secretary and others in the Labour party could also be called racist. Asylum seekers are just one factor, there are also concerns about legal migration because of its record high levels.

Labour seem to have a reasonable stance on immigration, but it's the execution that counts.

Clearly there is racism in the labour party. Natalie elphicke is now in labour while Diane Abbott is still out.

I haven't doorknocked at all this year till I find out which way the wind is blowing for black women in the Labour Party.
My time is very expensive, won't be wasting it.

Does this PM Sunak not have any other campaign strategy apart from immigration? Ineptitude.

Hehe... it's election time and being seen as 'anti-immigrants' is a traditional vote winner. Very few Brits understand the intricacies of immigration. To many I encounter, non british white = taking my job/loweringmy pay.

I'm struggling to decide what party to vote for as like someone stated here, Labour and their 'change' is giving me Buhari 2015 vibes.

The anti-Tory wave has reached a fever high pitch (just like with Brexit) that very few are actually questioning what Labour would do differently on the ground- not just catch phrases.

Elphick isn't standing as an MP.

Diane Abbot was suspended for a misguided article in which she claimed that Jews (who experienced one of the worst genocides in history, and modern day antisemitism) hadn't experienced racism. She is an iconic figure none the less and paved the way for the many black female MPs present in the Labour party.

I wonder why despite all his racist ,cruel anti-immigrant policies, he keeps dropping like a lead balloon in the poΔΊls. Surely if it was a core concern , it would shift the voting intentions? There is no silent majority anywhere. What you see is what you get.

If the NHS goes back to 2010 standards tomorrow, Even i would vote tory.

Rishi was always going to have his work cut out. He was swimming against the tide. He's clutching at anything to save him but truth be said, he has brought some uncomfortable issues to the table e.g a longterm sick, deterrence to small boat crossings e.t.c most of which Labour has given catch phrases and people have glossed over cos 'the tories must leave'

Right from Windrush, to healthcare workers in the 60's/70s, to joining the EU/early 2000 wave, to stopping and restarting PSW visa, to Brexit and recently the care route, the UKs approach has been reliably circular. Get in immigrants when a crunch or low growth hits and then a complete 360 a few years later. It oddly seems to occur roughly every 8-10 years.

Both media and the UK govt are not as vocal as they were with legal migration. They had quick implementation of policies that brought study and dependant visas down dramatically and there are figures to confirm that. Do we have same for illegal migration of all sorts?

They are definitely more vocal on asylum seekers - boat crossings and the Rwanda plan are on the news practically every day. The only issue is that due to international treaties, human rights and other factors, it's a harder nut to crack.

She defended a rapist, was rabidly anti immigrant. She is a headbanger. I have nothing against reasonable conservatives like fayeed warsi. I follow a few of them on twitter.

Bring some integrity. Leave the wuruwuru in Nigeria.
I would put some Crayfish, dried fish, egusi, ogbono, dried spices for your soup and stockfish . ALSO OVENDRY 1 RAM AND PUT IT IN YOUR BAG. ALSO 1 GALLON OF RED OIL and a pestle. they don't have pestles here for poundo
You can buy the rest over here. Doesn't cost a lot.

Also you owe all of us an apology especially Reeshee who you called a crackhead for no reason at all. I would have gone to the mat with you for that. You are lucky he hasn't got time

Long term sick ehn, I had a 60 Yr old lady 3 yrs on the list for a hip replacement. She is in constant pain, Her GP has had to increase her pain relief to Regular morphine. She is now an addict because of the tories.
Tell me again about longterm sick. The 7.6 million on that waitlist are human beings. They can be treated and go back to work but sunackered doesn't want to hear about that.

It's easier to demonise the long-term sick.
I ve applied for Annual leave on July 5th. I ll be up all night at the election result watch party πŸ₯³ πŸŽ‰. #independenceday

How good are the figures in your savings, interpolating with your salary, lifestyle and expenses........ Would also help if you submitted your own personal current account (not unless your day 2 day funding, is executed from your savings account.........
