PoliticsRe: 'Voting Has Consequences' — Why Does It Trigger Some People? by denitro(m): 4:52pm On Jun 03
TokoEkambi:
Why it triggered some people? Probably the Yoruba buts that supported obi and voted for him in the SW have woken up to realize that an average Igbo thinks all Yorubas support Tinubu because they all support their own tribesman obi (so they're projecting). This probably made them realize that even if they vote obi, Igbos will still consider them as opponents. So, many of them (and those that were neutral before) now realize that it's better to kuku vote for their Yoruba tribesman, since that's what Igbos believe in.
Same way, probably the Igbos that supported Tinubu and voted for him. The average Yoruba thinks all Igbos support Peter Obi becos their own tribeman Tinubu (so they are projecting). This probably made them realize too that even if they vote Tinubu, Yorubas will still consider them as opponents, so many of the Igbos that were neutral before now realize that it is better to kuku vote for their Igbo tribesman, since that's what Yorubas believe in.

Basic123:
To intelligent people only

After going through the write up,

Then look at Anambra,

Are you not really confusedhuh? grin grin

Is Anambra not supposed to be the model for whatever P.O is promising ushuhhuh..Is Anambra looking like the europe or America that humdeyin was talking about?

Thank God for the Internet which is the closest to what we have as time machine. Lets quickly check real time assessment of him as governor:
Based on important measures, Peter Obi was actually one of the better governors of his time. If he really did a bad job, then why haven’t the governors after him turned Anambra into the “Europe” you’re talking about?
The main issue is how people define “good performance.” Some people care more about big, flashy projects, while others care about real results you can measure.

Looking at the results:

Managing money: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Education: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Health: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
Paying workers: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
Security: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (not perfect)

During his time, the state had low debt, good savings, better school results (Anambra was among the best in WAEC), workers were paid regularly, and security improved compared to before he came in.

It’s okay if you disagree, but your opinion depends on what you personally value, and that may not show the full picture.
BusinessRe: Nigeria Vs Ghana: Cost Of Living — 2026 by denitro(m): 4:10pm On Mar 11
Ghc 588 (75,000+ naira) salary in Ghana is a sales girl position (someone with a WAEC certificate), if you are an employer here
in Ghana and you need someone with a certificate or Higher qualification like OND, etc, good luck finding someone who will accept
Ghc 588 (75,000 naira).
Nusery school teachers which is basic here (SHS school leavers take those positions) earn between Ghc 1000 - Ghc 1300 (128,000 naira - 167,000 naira). While graduates in Nigeria teaching in a primary school earn like 50,000 naira. Bro! No comparison...

Topman7:
MR MAN, KNOW THIS AND HAVE PEACE:

If you want to end terrorism in Nigeria today, there's no better foreign country on Earth than IRAN to do it for you.

IRAN is Shia Islam, and supports Hamas and Hezbollah, which are militant or terrorist groups set up to resist Israeli occupation and aggression in the middle east.

IRAN has ZERO to do with Sunni Islam terrorist groups like ISIS, Al Qaeda, and Boko Haram.

IRAN hates these groups with a passion, and recognises them as groups clandestinely formed by US/Saudi/Qatar/Bahrain and other Sunni Islam gulf countries, to serve western interests.

The job of those artificial 'terrorist groups' is to create mayhem in resource-rich countries, for the west to invade them as "saviours", or destabilise them for easier exploitation etc.

So LEARN TO DISTINGUISH these groups and their agendas, instead of your simplistic "Iran = Terrorists".
Your post doesn't make sense. Think about this statement "which are militant or terrorist groups set up to resist Israeli occupation and aggression in the middle east. " We should trust a country that supports Hamas and Hezbollah to kill innocent people because the people are different from you. I doesn't make sense. Why not trust a country that has a zero tolerance policy for terrorist. We should trust a country that killed it's own citizens who were protesting, killing them in the 30,000+. I don't understand. Call a Spade a Spade.
PoliticsRe: When The INEC’s Presiding Officer Says: “The Result Is Not Uploading Ooo...” by denitro(m): 12:37pm On Feb 20
BreconHills:
It cannot be mandatory. Every good process must have redundancy. Which is what NASS has done. Electronic first and if not manual.

By the way, there is nothing like real time in this scenario. Real time requires electronic voting.
What are you talking about?
There are 3 processes
1. Voter Accreditation
2. Voting
3. Transmission of result
The 3rd process has nothing to do with electronic voting. Everyone is ok with manual voting, we actually don't need electronic voting.
process 1 is electronic, the BVAS machine takes care of that.
Process 3 can be real-time (after the results have been announced at the polling station, it is transmitted to the IREV immediately after process 2), the real time interpretation here is immediately after the results have been announced. That is REAL TIME not hours later when there is enough time to forge the result form and then upload the forged form to IREV ( all they need is few hours), REAL TIME puts them under pressure preventing them from having enough time to forge and upload later.
PoliticsRe: The 15 Senators Who Voted FOR Mandatory Real-time Transmission Clause Are: by denitro(m): 10:30am On Feb 18
muykem:
I support electronic transmission but we need to ask ourselves some question. For example, if saboteur cut Anambra state off of Internet on election day, what happened to results there?
Voting will go ahead as planned, the results will be announced at the various polling booths, (BVAS Works Offline On Election Day, Results Can Be Transmitted Once Network Is Available — Ex-INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu) then now it is time to transmit a scanned copy of the results, (let that sink in - a scanned copy of the result), a lot of Nigerians don't understand what it happening. The BVAs machine can still trasmit the result even with no network. The scanned copy will be entered and send and will hang in the machine and when the machine enters a zone with network the result will be be transmitted. So your question what will happen to the result there, nothing will happen, everything will go on smoothly pending, the agent goes back to INEC office and automatically IREV will be recieve the scanned copy.

Here is what the senators want - the new amendment say that if transmission fails or otherwise, then a form should be filled and the filled will
be the primary source of collation (did you catch that), it means it is now at the discretion of the agent to 1. determine if the transmission will be successful or not. (scenario) - 22 local government areas are all reporting network issues while people at the polling centers are all screaming that there was network on their phones but the agent says no network on the machine, the agent is now mandated by law to use the criminal form to record the result and that the form will be the only source for collation, he doesn't have to enter the result.
BUT here is where they are putting themselves in a tight corner and might not be able to get themselves out.

IN ORDER to determine network failure, the scanned copy needs to be send on the BVAS, an attempt needs to be made, if what the INEC
chairman said is true then we have caught them, the attempt if no network is presence will still send the result. So Nigerians are missing the point here we need to work with the senate and ensure that an attempt has to be made to send first in order to determine if the transmission will fail, if an attempt is made, then everything should work.

Now we go to the next issue, IF TRANSMISSION FAILS, the form should be the primary source of collation. Now we have an issue here, we can still get the scanned result in the IREV but according to the new law, that result if different from the form can legally be ignored, so the IREV can have the correct result and the form the mutilated result, by law the mutilated result has more weigh because the agent reported transmission failure even if the attempt to test the transmission failed but eventually was sent when the machine entered network. The manipulated result will hold in court and there is nothing the opposition can do.

RomanceRe: Pls Guys I Need Your Opinion Cus I Have Only About 14hrs To Make A Decision. by denitro(m): 9:09am On Jan 03
This way of life is spiritually dangerous. When a person dies, he is restored to the love he freely chose while alive.

Your own words show that your ruling love is not ordered affection but promiscuous desire mixed with money and manipulation.

Those who live from such loves are not forced into hell, they choose it freely, because heaven does not agree with what they love.

If this pattern continues unchanged, it will only lead you downward, not upward.

CHANGE. CHANGE.
Because after death, a person cannot change the love that has become his life.
Christianity EtcRe: So After Burning Us In Hell What Will God Actually Gain? by denitro(m):
God gains nothing from hell because God does not punish, condemn, or burn anyone.
“The Lord casts no one into hell; spirits cast themselves down.” (Heaven and Hell §545)
Hell exists because human beings are created with freedom. Without the ability to reject heaven, love would be meaningless.
Hell preserves freedom and spiritual order, God’s “gain” is not satisfaction or justice-through-pain, but order:
“Hell is from man, and not from the Lord.” (Heaven and Hell §547)
Hell allows those who love evil to live in a state that matches their inner life, without destroying heaven or forcing goodness on them.
Punishment is not imposed, it is inherent.
“Every evil carries its own punishment with it.” (Heaven and Hell §485)
God gains nothing here; suffering arises naturally when a life ordered toward selfishness and domination collapses into disorder.
God’s will is universal salvation
“The Lord wills the salvation of all.” (Heaven and Hell §521)
Hell exists not because God wants it, but because love cannot be coerced.
Hell is chosen, not assigned, people in hell actually prefer it to heaven:
“Those who are in hell cannot endure the sphere of heaven.” (Heaven and Hell §552)
Forcing them into heaven would be torture, not mercy....Read Swedenborg's books......

So a perfect example will be...Think of your favorite food! Lets assume Bean and plantain..
You go to a wedding and at the reception of the wedding you meet a buffet and on the table, rice and chicken,
eba and all kinds of soups, catfish and chips and bean, plantain.
Where would you go?
For sure if you are really hungry you will go to your love (bean and plantain).
Assuming the wedding is the afterlife, you choose where you will go to based on your desire, that is why the bible talks about being
judged based on our desire.
Even if at the wedding you had friends pleading with you to join them to eat rice and chicken, you will still go for the bean and plantain.
Remember when you die, nothing changes, you are still the same person with. the same character and desires just that you have left
your body and you are now spirit, those desires and senses are now magnified 1000x. So one who loves evil will be attracted to evil.
And God in his wisdom and love has provided a place where those who love evil can live together and sadly that place is hell.

PoliticsRe: Why We Can't Track Terrorists Showing Off Ransom On Tiktok, Facebook - Bwala by denitro(m): 2:14pm On Dec 06, 2025
Someone should tell Bwala to research what is called "Cell Tower". Even if a victim's phone is used, it has to connect through the nearest
cell tower, the coordinates from the connecting cell tower will give you a range coverage area where the phone ping the cell tower.
The issue is that they know the location of the terrorist but are not interested in pursuing the lead.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Rejects Use Of Mercenaries In Counter-terrorism Efforts by denitro(m): 6:17pm On Nov 25, 2025
During the last presidential debate, Tinubu was asked what he planned to do to tackle insecurity, and Tinubu said
a member of his team will answer (ElRufai), and El Rufai in answering said "We will employ over 1 million people into the police force, so that the ratio of 1 police to citizens will be such that insecurity will be taken care of", everyone in the venue clapped and applauded. I had a sick
feeling in my stomach that day about Tinubu because no where in the world can a presidential candidate when asked a question
during a debate will refer the question to a team member to answer.
Nigerians days and weeks later debated about what Tinubu did and those supporting him said it shows that he is a team player.
Ok fast forward to today, the question is Has Tinubu fulfilled on that promise?
Has the police force been enhanced with over 1 million recruits?
It is sad that the red flags were there before the election and because of tribe and party and hatred, many people would prefer the
country to burn that do the right thing.
Nigeria deserves it's leaders because election is a popularity contest and majority determines their leaders
PoliticsRe: Soyinka Condemns Donald Trump Over Threat Of U.S. Military Intervention by denitro(m): 4:45pm On Nov 22, 2025
HgAkpobomeEr:
Soyinka's response is spot on. No self-respecting nation should welcome the idea of foreign troops on its soil.
I am really shocked at the kind of comments by Nigerians, it really shocks me.
Your neigbours house is on fire and your neigbour is rejecting help because he claims to be a independent and a Sovereign household.
Many of those commenting are in their aircondition houses thinking that all is well.
It is slowly coming, soon bandits entering churches in Lagos and kidnapping students in the boarding houses in Lagos will soon be a daily
occurence. Nigeria is at war with bandits and terrorists, they have made it their mandate to turn Nigeria into an islamic state.
It is already too late for Nigerians and they don't realise it.
Let us do this thought experiment to help you see how backwards many Nigerians condemning Trump are.
Assuming Soyinka has 2 daughters in a secondary school in Lagos and bandits enter the school and kidnap his 2 daughters, and 3 months
have passed and the Nigerian government still cannot find his girls and more than 300 students taken from that school.
Then Trump says he will send troops to Nigeria to help Soyinka look for his girls, saying the Nigerian government has failed.
What will be Soyinka response to Trump
A. Soyinka says to Trump "“You don’t just open your mouth and say, ‘I’m coming to help you whether you like it or not,’” he said. “With poor, almost non-existent analysis, you say you are coming with ‘guns blazing’. That is not how global diplomacy or security cooperation should work.”
B. Soyinka will welcome Trump's help with open arms

Nigerians see beyond the charade, statements are a representation of open interest. Soyinka is pained about his green card cancellation and isn't thinking based on the interest of those in Camps in the north, those in Boko Haram captivity in the forest, praying daily for someone to
help them, residents living in fear (both christians and muslims) in the middle belt and north.

Nigerians wake up, there is a SECRET COMBINATION in the land - a group of people bound by secret oaths to commit evil acts for personal gain or power.

PoliticsRe: Opposition Fueling Christian Genocide Narrative - Wike by denitro(m): 3:20pm On Nov 04, 2025
odejimioflagos:
Wike is spot on. The Christian genocide narrative is a cheap political tool from the opposition to discredit this administration. How can you claim genocide when the top security officials are from your religion?
Are you serious? Listen to yourself!

So because a few Christians hold high positions in government, that somehow means the killing of poor, defenseless Christian villagers isn’t happening? That logic makes no sense. These are real people, farmers, mothers, children being attacked in their homes, churches, and farms, not politicians in Abuja. It’s not about who holds office; it’s about who is dying on the ground.

You can’t dismiss the mounting evidence, the eyewitness accounts, the burned villages, and the thousands of displaced families as “opposition propaganda.” Even international human rights organizations, journalists, and local observers have documented these atrocities. Whether you call it genocide, ethnic cleansing, or systematic persecution, the fact remains: Christians are being targeted in large numbers, and the government’s silence only emboldens the killers.

It’s sad when people in power or their supporters prefer to argue semantics rather than confront the truth. This isn’t politics it’s humanity, downplaying it doesn’t make it go away; it only makes you complicit.
RomanceRe: Why I Lost Interest After Meeting A Pretty And Intelligent Lady by denitro(m): 1:46pm On Oct 30, 2025
When someone says they’re not really into their native language, it doesn’t always mean they’ve lost their identity. It could simply mean they see the world beyond tribe or language. Real unity isn’t about speaking the same words, it’s about sharing the same values and understanding. It’s good to love your culture, but it’s also fine for someone to express who they are in their own way. Maybe she isn’t rejecting where she’s from; maybe she’s just finding her own way to connect with the world.

The story of the Tower of Babel shows that language was used to separate people and make them identify only with their own group. Some people still think language should define and divide us. Hopefully, one day you’ll leave that mindset and realize that true maturity comes from understanding people beyond labels and roots.

People advising you to report to the principal might be advising you on a route that might make matters worse for you.
Handle the issue as a teacher..
Your next class, assemble everyone's answer paper on your table and write the correct answers on the board.
Then call each student and ask them to read their answers to each question and use that exercise as a teaching and feedback moment.
Here is why this approach is much better.
1. It keeps things professional and neutral
If you quickly report the student or call her out, it could make the situation worse, especially since you don’t really know why she wrote that. By treating it like a normal classroom activity, you keep things calm and avoid turning it into personal drama or punishment.
2. It uses a teaching moment instead of punishment
When you go over everyone’s answers together, the focus stays on learning. It will definitely cause some embarrassment for the female student but that is part of learning too.
3. It models maturity and emotional intelligence
By staying calm and handling the situation professionally, you show the class that you can deal with surprises without losing your cool. Students respect teachers who stay composed instead of getting angry or running to the principal.
4. It preserves the teacher–student relationship
Teenagers sometimes test boundaries. By staying calm but firm, they’ll learn that you’re fair and mature and that will make them respect you more in the long run.

Have watched the video, and the woman is making a lot of sense

I am going to tell the story of a guy my dad was acquainted with. Back in the 1990's this guy was a high ranking civil servant in Nigeria, in charge of a technical department, with responsiblity for urban planning. The guy played the DV lottery, and won and moved to America in 1994. Two years later he was working as a dishwasher. Someone wey dey hold high office, na dishwasher.

The truth is, the best way to japa to Canada is if you have skills that are needed in Canada. That means (unless you are into IT, or medicine, especially nursing), you go as a student, graduate with high schores, and high skills, and get a job there. Simple. Other routes are risky

That is what the woman is saying. Simple.

Unless you want to go there and start from scratch, that is the way. Canada is a insular country.
Your story has k-leg. If he won the visa lottery, you get a green card which opens the US to you, all the opportunities in
the US is yours. It shows how backwards nigeria is, if someone who has a green card and thinks the only work he
can do in the US is a dishwasher, then you will understand why majority of the civil servants in nigeria are lazy,
greedy.
US, canada is different, you are exposed to opportunities in those countries, you have to prepare yourself
educationals or skill wise in order to reach your full potential there.
Nigeria can never be compared with canada.

This is an open and shut case.
Look for a lawyer that will take up your case, and sue the guy for at least 300k ( could be more).
Get the lawyer to serve him.
He will think it's a joke and probably won't show up for the court date, that is all you need to get a
default judgement against him. Then use the judgement letter to execute your payment from him using legal means.
Somewhere during the process he will plead with you to settle the matter out of court. Get your 70k back and get him
to pay your lawyer fees.
N.B: But please next time don't let someone waste 30k on Uber for nothing.
Grounds for you to win:
He invited you to the restaurant and he has admitted on chat that he did it intentionally.

Part 2:
After he pays you, he can now countersue you for invasion of privacy. (yes! it is illegal to share your chat messages
with someone without their permission).
He can now sue you for 300k and use the same lawyer you used.
You can settle out of court and pay him back the 70k and negotiate the lawyer fees.
