A red flag being hoisted by an extremist Muslim governorship candidate.
If Oyo State wishes to avoid the Zamfara violence experience, they should seriously ensure that the man is not voted in.
The man is a proselyte of the MURIC leader. |

SpatialKing: Bigcot all you want, FIFA world 🗺️ cup 2026 is a success already...
Tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup are in unprecedented demand, with over 500 million requests recorded and nearly two million tickets already sold, making it one of the most sought-after sports events. High demand from 212 countries is driving up costs, with tickets for the final reaching upwards of $230,000 on resale platforms, prompting a lottery system for allocation... All lost because 75 countries' fans are not coming because of Trump's visa ban. What a loss! |

Originalsly: Is it a must to over hype? N 2.1 billion in ticket sales ....$1.4 M. What was the cost of production etc? The movie did well for a Nollywood movie ...but to see it as making Nollywood on its way to becoming a global force in the industry? Approximately $190K in North America (Canada and the US) ....that s pretty much seen by Nigerians abroad ...pretty much a Nigerian movie watched by Nigerians so where is the international appeal? Let's not fool ourselves. Nollywood was wayyy bigger internationally 2000 to 2006.....went down hill after. If the movies then were played in cinemas ... a movie like "Blood Sisters" would've grossed over $50 M ...easy.. Funke was around ..but not at all popular abroad ...so was Mr Ibu. ...neither would've been in the top 20 list. But .. the bar has since been lowered significantly and she is now on top. Hopefully... she may be able to recapture true international attention. Now with all this hype ...who here watched the movie? ...what was it about?...and was it captivating? ..out of 10 what would you rate it? Envy surreptitiously slides in. That's an African malady. Sorry Oga, e go better. Let the lady enjoy her own time in the sun. Others are still coming behind her that will post better box office mileage. For now, let's give kudos to Funke Akindele for her record achievement. |

Abeg jare It doesn't work that way in real politics. Nobody will give you a country leadership on a platter of gold. You must fight for it, either democratically or through guns. |

But my elder brother was different. He bought her manipulation until he was over 40 yrs. I always taunt her, that with this your beauty you should have remarried if you were a submissive woman. She raised us well but was too strong willed You are a man. It happened to me and my siblings too, and we their children manoeuvre our ways within them, and maintained our relationship with our father and mother, though they live apart. Once you are old, you don't meddle in your parents quarell with each other. You continue to give respect and attention to both, especially if neither of them is an outright demon. |

OredoPikin2: i have no issue with Yoruba as a collective i only pity the good yorubas that will suffer the consequences of what you guys are sowing now. yes, i have serious issue with you guys in that RONU branch of APC we joined you to protest against our own GEJ and even helped you to remove him thinking we are all fighting for a better country. not knowing you are only interested in having your person as president. now tinubu is there doing thousand times worst than GEJ, you defend and protect him and even using tribal and religion division to do it. to you guys, let Nigeria burn, as long as your tribe man is president, you will support it.
other tribes are now watching you and waiting for the right time. never again in the history of this country will anyone from your tribe be allowed to talk against any govt. NEVER. 2027 or 2031 is not far. we will wait. Thrash talks. Everyone of your allegations are figment of your imagination and childish in context. Truly you are a pikin. Just to debunk only one of your pikinish misjiving, were the Yorubas the only tribe that voted your GEJ out of power, or the one who succeeded him? Find better thing to do with your time, and shield your envy against a better tribe than your own; don't darken your soul, you are too young to thread that path. A Yoruba man is presently ruling the country, a man from another tribe will take over from him at the expiration of his tenure. So wait for that time, and erase your poisonous bitterness. |
