I really do not understand this. Was this after you applied for a visa or applied for admission?

It was after I had submitted my visa application and did my biometrics. They requested for employment information, probably because I haven’t worked since I graduated due to health issues and I left the space blank in the application form.

I feel I would just need to explain about the health situation (which I would have preferred not to), and then talk about NYSC which is the only other experience I have, aside random remote freelance jobs.

I got a mail from the visa office today regarding my application to study a masters in January 2022. They are requesting for my employment records since my graduation in 2015, but aside NYSC I haven’t actually gotten any jobs aside periodical contract works.

Is this something that is common with Masters application and Visa requirements?

I have attached the information they requested to further explain it.

It is not that simple.
Also graduation is not a tie. After all you are done with final exams and would be awarded your degree. It can be added but surely it is not a tie. U need to explore what your ties are to Nigeria.
Also u cnt be gone for 3 months on actual visa application form- say that and get your chances for denial be at 90%. Reduce trip duration drastically. Factor in 10 days for quarantine + a few days for the travel.
U dnt need travel insurance for travel to uk
Pls how do u make your money in this your business?
U cnt use the business account to apply as your business funds are for your business. U should have personal savings or earnings by which you would use to sponsor your trip.

Lastly, it is not enough pls get reason for travel. Any visa application tht will be approved has to have a reason for travel that can be communicated effectively via your docs to the visa officer.

Thank you @giselle237 I wasn’t planning to inform them I intended to stay for that long though. I just wanted to explain my situation better here so I’d be able to get the right help.

I’m aware the graduation aspect is not foolproof as a tie to come back, that’s why I mentioned it. I don’t really know what else I could use.

Since I can’t use my business funds, would it work better if I get my friend-who is writing an invite letter to also be my sponsor. Because from what you say, explaining the funds as a student would be difficult, since I don’t have an actual job, aside the business I own.

The money from the business is set up in my personal account, because I haven’t yet set up the business bank account. And I buy and sell skin care products. I have receipts that show purchase materials and invoices that show sold ones. That’s what I have

I want to apply for tourist visa to the Uk. I have a place to stay already and my friend is going to write an invite letter for me. But I don’t really know the documents he is to provide, aside the letter.

Also, I will be self sponsoring. I do not currently work, I just got done with my final exams, but I got a letter from my school stating I would be coming back for my graduation, would that be enough as proof of intent to return? I have a business that I registered with CAC in February, I have roughly 4m for the entire process. But I’m not sure what else I would require as documentation for the process. Could you please tell me what documents to get from my friend and the documents I should also provide.
Lastly, do I require travel insurance? I plan to be gone for about 3 months.

Please, does anyone know how I can open a UK bank account even while being in Nigeria? I was considering a Dom account, but with the policies Nigeria comes up with daily, I’d rather not risk it.
