PETERiCHY: The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) yesterday said transactions done through electronic channels and Pointof-Sales (PoS) terminals are not subject to daily limit as settlement for the cards shall continue to be with interbank funds.
However, the maximum limit for naira debit and credit cards utilization shall be US$50,000.00 per annum. In addition, daily cash withdrawal limit is pegged at US$300.00 per person per day, and subject to monthly rendition of returns by Authorised Dealer banks and card issuers to the CBN.
This was contained in the new policy measures for 2016/2017 released yesterday by the Apex bank. The new policy measure stated that Naira Debit/Credit cards used locally are not affected and Debit/Credit cards linked to customers domiciliary accounts to be used overseas are also not affected.
According to the CBN, allowable limit of outbound money transfer per transaction per person shall be US$1,000.00 or its equivalent per quarter subject to review from time to time. Applicable charges by the operator shall be in compliance with the money transfer charges as may be prescribed by the CBN from time to time.

locodemy: stay away from all these bank stocks mentioned. Why not put your money in ccnn that will soon clock #20.00.like play like play ccnn goes to #20.why not put your money in Airservice for quick profit. Are you not seeing dangote cement,Nigeria brweries and okomu presco.
Are you not seeing Aiico, transcorp, ucap, nem, livestock for good returns.
To me fcmb and skye are like chasing winds.where is fcmb 9 months result?which dividend are you expecting from skye bank. The money is far back deducted but they dont want to announce it because they are coming for right issue. They dont want more losses in their share price.

godlyguy: Buffett's genius solution is as simple as it is effective: "Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful"...
This statement is true about SKYE BANK. Check out their financial reports for March, June and September 2015. Some market forces are trying to drag it back so they can gain entry and drag it to #2.50 . Always apply this BUFFET'S RULE where you are sure of the MANAGEMENT. THE BUFFET I HAVE READ ABOUT will NEVER 'HOLD A UNIT OF SKYE EVEN FOR TEN(10) MINUTES......YES QUOTE ME ANYWHERE....EVEN REPORT ME TO BUFFET..... . ...SHOW US RESULT, SKYE SAYS NO WAY. EXPLAIN WHY RESULT IS NOT YET OUT, SKYE SAYS NO WAY. BRING OUT 2016 Q1, SKYE KEPT MUTE. BUFFET DOES NOT HUNT MONKEYS, ESPECIALLY WHERE THE MONKEYS KEEP SHOWING HUMAN HANDS. I BET YOU MARKET CONDITIONS HAVE REALLY PUNISHED SKYE AND SAVED A LOT OF INNOCENT GUYS, BY NOW, THEY WOULD HAVE ROPED IN A LOT OF MUGUS WITH PUBLIC OFFER. BUFFET ALSO OPERATES IN AN ENVIRONMENT OF 'REASONABLE' CORPORATE BEHAVIOUR, WHERE FINANCIAL 'RASCALITY' IS ADEQUATELY PUNISHED. TAKE A MOMENT AND REFLECT ON: FBNH, JAPAUL, IEI, UNIONHOMES, COSTAIN. ALSO, NOTE THAT BUFFET IS A LONGER TERM JIJO MASTER....... THIS IS NOT A BUY OR SELL RECOMMENDATION FOR SKYE. IT IS ALSO NOT MEANT TO PAINT SKYE AS A BAD STOCK. BAD STOCKS ARE MOST TIMES MOST PROFITABLE ON NSE DUE TO OUR 'HOPE' MENTALITY..... . |
