Why bothering to write to the Pope when he has already been ousted by the Diocese? |
occfx:It's crazy. In a country as insecure as Nigeria, every state is practically begging for a State of Emergency to be declared. All that is needed, even in the most peaceful of states, is instigation, which could even be what happened in Rivers in the first place. |
If you all are tired of this charade, you can draw the curtain. I don't think anyone is fooled by this propaganda media report. No matter how you try to play it, what happened in Rivers is not democracy and has laid the blueprint for State capture. Anyone who so desires a state and intends to grab it by all means needs not look far anymore for an excuse. "It happened in Rivers in 2025." |
Jicks55:Now, the cost of renovation before a new tenant comes in is, in some cases, equal to the cost they put up the structure with, depending on how old the building is. Also, those who built their houses recently bought materials at inflated prices, and the only reason they continued would be because they hoped the pricing would help them recoup the amounts. Furthermore, every such residence is part of a community that requires maintenance, development and security for the property and people living in them. In many cases, the costs are borne by the property owners. There is also the problem of property taxes too that is paid yearly. In conclusion, such property owners have dependents: spouse, kids, parents, relatives, and others, whose expenses have been on the rise as well. In addition to cutting costs, increasing the value from their source of livelihood is the only other way they can meet up. |
HeAdLeSs MoB rIGHt? We can see that clearly.. |
I guess the DSS do not know what X stands for. |
Protest by people who ensured their faces stayed hidden behind cardboard placards written and organized by one person. Unserious lots. |
opamoses1:Well, we shall be here when you will likely sell yours, if you haven't already. |
I fondly remember one of our neighbours. In the Estate I live, we call him Baba. Like others before him, he sold and left Lagos. The house was sold to an Igbo man and is now renovated and rented out to three Igbo families. It was his retirement wish, I guess. |
There are international laws for this. If it is a habit of British Airways to seek the easy way out in instances like this, then it's an okay award for punitive damages. If not, then it is quite unfortunate to have not followed international rules of engagement (around €1350 - €1500), alongside legal costs. SQLmastar:That's what Travel Insurance is for. |
So, I saw this thread on Nairaland Politics Section and the coordinated relay race, where tribal batons were handed over from one moniker to another, all of whom have an affiliation known to every regular on Nairaland. https://www.nairaland.com/8513169/simon-ekpa-ebonyi-man-always I tried to understand the purpose of that thread but could find no sensible reason. It reminded me of this new release by Governor Amuneke which I will share below. Do you see a pattern? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ML6GZPJt7mo?si=7iLqC-HjkWBINuJ7 Mods, I honestly don't want to be all up in your business, but I think we can nip it in the bud when it's this obvious. |
When we were calling out the work done on the so-called Smart Schools considering how much it cost, it was misinterpreted to mean we were against the work he is doing for one reason or the other. Now, look? Ignore political sycophants and call out poor governance wherever it exists. |
seunmsg:You practically left all of the issues raised in this publication and went off about your Sokoto hallucinations and what-nots. Can't take what you dish out? |
Putting the cart before the horse. I tend to agree with sorting the financing of State police before going ahead with it. Even the regular police today have to make ends meet through egunje bribes on the roads and captures. |
I like that the volume of subjects has been reduced. But this will fly next academic year, not this year. A lot of innovations are in it and very necessary but this is coming at a time when serious schools are set to resume and must have done all of their plannings for the next academic session. Some of these innovations involve humongous fees. How is a school that has already planned its revenue and projects for the next session supposed to go about this? NERDC that are supposed to maintain our curriculum every five years left it until this late to unveil a new one. That's crazy....and brazy! It's a welcome development. They should set deadlines for steps towards its full implementation in 2026/2027 academic session. |
Kudos to the Agricultural Department that planted this homegrown EV. Can we see the ovary please? |
Burob:Sucks to be you then. All that crowd.. |
"ex turpi causa non oritur actio" Only a shameless person will seek to justify a claim based on illegal conduct. It makes zero sense that your NIN can be verified easily and accreditation can be done digitally, you're given a paper, citing technical challenges. Electoral reform now! |
Burob:They also say fools grow old too. Grey hair is no automatic substitute for wisdom. |
The grammatical errors on the infographic shared on the President's official handle is really pathetic. Spelling brillion brillion all over the place. And the document was prepared by a team, yet no one could spot it. A gathering of incompetents.

Finland just sentenced someone terrorizing another country to six-years imprisonment after he was tried and found guilty. In NIgeria, they either reintegrate them into the society if they're from one part of the country, ignore that they exist and reward them with juicy positions if they're from another part of the country, or kidnap them and keep them illegally in detention if they're from yet another part of the country. Patriotic Nigerians expect everyone to be comfortable with such silly life. |
I wish to remind Mr Bayo Onanuga that dead men tell no tales. Even football players who sign five-year deals move on after six months if their well being is not guaranteed. We only know it comes at a price, especially if the oppressor is desperate to play devil for more years. |
Normally such panel should constitute legal professionals from all walks of life. It's a non-issue. |
I will be pained if a class action suit or any suit for that matter is not instituted against Dangote. There needs to be laid down precedence against all heavy duty truck drivers. Compensation for the families is just one part. The other and very important aspect is the punitive damages. That is a way to ensure it doesn't 'just' happen again. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JN-0CABNukg?si=3ErQFoLeF0aDbTJd In a very sad twist, an Instagram user, @joycarl, shared a video of how a woman she came across on the streets of Abuja lost her pregnancy. She found the heavily pregnant woman walking, and got a cab for her, after promising to foot the requested bill from the hospital. They got a referral letter, went to purchase baby things, switched hospitals again due to filled beds, and unfortunately, she lost her twins during labour. |
He's not a true omoluabi. 'Akanbi' is a cursed name. 'We reject you' e.t.c. e.t.c. |
Peter Obi is the man they wish they all are. I like how tough Deji talks. It shows he is prepared to defend all his allegations that were carefully curated dating back to 2022. Good luck to him. Since he has evidence, this is a chance to prove that Peter Obi is as corrupt as all others out there. Dutiful Nigerians, pay no heed to this propaganda machinery. The effect of this decade of bad governance isn't online but have real consequences in our daily lives offline. Now is no time to keep falling for the online banter. Block any silly online squabble and take your fight offline. Queue up for your PVC and make your statements at the polls.. Below is also a screenshot of the same Deji saying it is not true that Peter Obi offered him bribe🤣🤣 Deji said he has never supported any political party ABI? See screenshots below again. 🤣🤣

No love lost, no love found.. Let them finish the Lord's work first. Economic trade can resume later. |
Oh! Nice one. Is it the same government whose agents come for farmers who also increase the cost of their wares to meet up with life's demand that is doing this? Before this party came into power, a 64-page passport cost only ₦20,000. This administration has seen a whooping 1000% increment to date now. It is well. |
Lithiumite:Ngumoha is a surname native to the people of Abia extraction. |
Tflex01:I just showed you who edited Wikipedia to add Adigun as his surname. His father is from Abia State. You can also: 1. Show who edited my source page. 2. State the state his father is from as a rebuttal (with credible evidence) |
