Health / Re: Itching After Bathing - I Need Help... by Designd4Gr8ness: 9:04pm On Aug 12, 2017
Did you change your bathing soap recently? If you change from antiseptic to moisturizing soap or any other soap, then itching is a normal reaction. You might need to switch back. Talking from experience.
Career / Itsekiri Graduates Arise Against Oppression From Chevron by Designd4Gr8ness: 2:09pm On Jun 27, 2017
ITSEKIRI ARISE!!!!!!

Dear Comrades, it is exactly 24 Hours before we make history as the first indigenous people to go on strike to press home their demand to any International Oil Company (IOC).
We all need to be counted.

It is an acceptable fact that if we continue as we are without doing anything about it, we may become "of all men most miserable".
Today slaves ride on Horse, while Princes and Princess walk on barefoot. We have been too civilise about our plight.
We have in Chevron a Policy Government and Public Affairs (PGPA) department that specialises on Churning out lies to deceive the ignorant.

A department that is supposed to liaise between Chevron and her host communities have become our greatest problem.
Chevron does recruitment and PGPA will claim ignorance even when they know it is true. When you press further, they will tell you they will investigate and get back to you.
How can a company or her contractors carry out recruitment without the knowledge of the relevant department that is saddled with the responsibility of handling community related issues on the job/project?

We have our indigenes who have put over twenty years in service as contract staffs and whenever Chevron carries out "regularisation" of contract staffs, they are never found good enough.

Chevron cannot show us any Itsekiri contract staff converted to staff in the last 10 years whereas other people are being converted.

Today, on the eve of our Revolution, We remember Prince Iteye whose name the Abiteye Oil field derive her name.
I remember that Okan is an Itsekiri word likewise Meji, and Dibi.
I also remember that Olero is an Itskeiri deity from which the Olero field derive her name.

Tomorrow our forefathers - Prince Iteye, Princess Iye, Chief Nana Olomu, Chief Dore Numa, Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh, Pa Alfred Rewane, etc. will count on us to preserve the future of the Kingdom they bequeathed to us.
Except our forefathers where not buried in Iwere land that is the only reason we will fail.

I challenge all Itsekiri Staffs in Chevron Nigeria limited to act for the sake of our Children, and our Children's Children.
Be rest assured that Chevron will be met with the force of nature if they single out any of you for victimization.
I can tell you that Chevron has been "running from pillar to post" to see if they can stop this revolution, but it is obviously too late.
Tomorrow June 28, 2017, the future of our Children will be secured not just in Chevron, but in all IOCs operating on our soil.
The only condition for a truce is the immediate regularisation of the employment of VTP5/OTP2 and VTP6 Trainees, and with strong assurances through written commitment that all other demands will be met in no distance time.

Aluta Continua!

Career / Chevron : Host Communities In Niger-delta Threaten To Close Down Chevron Facilit by Designd4Gr8ness: 5:42pm On Jun 26, 2017
WE CALL ON CHEVRON MANAGEMENT TO REGULARIZE THEIR ENGAGEMENT OF VTP5/OTP2, VTP6/OTP3 AND CALL THE AWAITING 2014 BATCH FOR OGERE CHEVRON TRAINING PROGRAMME.

The attention of Warri Development Vanguard has being drawn to the unholy activities of Chevron Nigeria Limited to her host communities,we hereby compel Chevron Nigeria that the host community's where there area of operation are should be given the adequate attention as deem necessary the longing issue of Conversion of VTP5\OTP2 trainees to permanent staffs and also absolve the 2014 awaiting list for training with immediate effect ,enough of this blame chase of putting it on the economy why you go ahead to employ people outside the oil producing area.
Meanwhile , over the years we have produce lots of graduate that are successful in several Chevron tests, exam and interviews, but Chevron is adamant on absolving them into their staff base which clearly exposes Chevron Nigeria Limited insincerity and bias towards our people .

During the time past we have to go on serious confrontation with Chevron before a paltry number of our people were employed, to put the record straight in 1998, we had to shut down Abiteye flowstation for a few of our people to be employed. In 2004, there had to be massive protest both in escravos tank farm , Abiteye and Makaraba flowstations at a separate occasions before some of our people was also considered for employment.Again in 2008, our people passed massively every test and interview up to the medical stage but where refused recruitment for training not until there was a massive coalition protest (ITSEKIRI, IJEW AND ILAJE), blocking Chevron gate in WARRI for days on September 2012 that gave birth to some of our people from the ethics nationalities to be considered for training in March 2013 (VTP5\OTP2),its shocking to note that it has become a tradition by Chevron Nigeria and the host community's to go through the dog tail fight before our people can and will be considered for employment.

More so, we wish to bring to your notice that issue of the outstanding applicants who went for Chevron training interview in April 2014 , after which 12 applicants from each of the ethnic nationalities was called to chevron operation field and the others that are yet to resume training in Ogere should be called to resume training, because the slot was allotted to the host communities as a way of promoting human capital development. if that's not done Chevron will remain in the same ordeal over and over again. We compel Chevron to look into the outstanding candidate to be engage in the next batch of trainees to be considered into the Ogere training programme.

More so , the delay in regularizing the engagement of trainees working at Chevron Escravos Gas to Liquid, EGTL plant and other Chevron locations that has been long overdue thus call for questioning. It's no longer news that the Chevron multinational has toed the line of marginalizing the ethnic nationalities, their contract has been extended for more than 5 years a contract that was supposed to be regularized after 18 months as the usual tradition by the organization shockingly at the dark hour Chevron Nigeria decided to give another contract extension.

It's funny to note that even Chevron Nigeria has refused to release the certificate of the trainees depriving them from getting job elsewhere. CNL can't continue to mortgage the future of the people from ethnic nationalities putting them in a traumatized state, after leaving a paid job with another company to work with Chevron, at the end they are treated like a piece of rubbish enough is enough.

The reluctant attitude of Chevron management has made us to come to a conclusion below.

1. Immediate conversion of VTP5\OTP2 trainees
2. Immediate conversion of VTP6\OTP3 trainees
3. Intake of 2014 awaiting batch
4. Direct all CNL sub contractors to employ host community's worker.
5. CNL should provide post graduate scholarship for host community's.
6. Reserve employment quota for us (host communities) in every CNL employment chance in accordance with the local content act.

On this note we are saying enough is enough we are shutting down Chevron Nigeria in few days time there's no amount of intimidation that will deter us this time because we have lost faith on Chevron. We have use all approach to peaceful resolution with the multinational in respect to the above query to no avail the time is now, there's no better time than now.
By Warri development vanguard.
