Politics / Diezani Refund 90 Billion Dollar CNN Confirmed by designgurus: 11:45am On Apr 08, 2016
I start to imagine what a normal human being would ever need 13 Billion British Pounds that's 27 trillions of Naira for in this limited world, which if divided according to the equivocal population of Nigerians 170,000,000 people each person will get over N158 millions. I wonder if former President GEJ could imagine that only one out of his ex-Ministers could steal such a stupendous amount under his administration without his knowledge. Wonders shall never end! In reference to the CNN report that the former Minister has made a refund of $90B already, how much is Dangote worth? As at today Dangote is worth $14.7B and the 67th in the world while Bill Gates was the 2nd with $ 79.2 on the Forbes list. Diezani is simply a wonder. Old pensioners are dying of hunger daily,Insurgency is consuming lives of innocent Nigerians, workers are no longer getting their salaries as at when due, Government can no longer build infrastructures, road all over the country are in complete bad shape and only one woman got away with this kind of money. Nigeria is a wonder, while Diezani is a SHAME to PDP government.
I am afraid of women in Government, what about you?

Politics / pics: Gov. Wike’s Chief Of Staff Held Over Assassination Attempt On NIMASA DG by designgurus: 7:15pm On Mar 20, 2016
The Department of State Security in Rivers state has thwarted an
assassination attempt on Peterside Dakuku, the All
Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in last year’s guber
election in the state and reportedly arrested ChukwuEmeka
Woke, the Chief of Staff to Governor Nyesom Wike for leading a killer
squad in two Sport Utility Vehicles that trailed and opened fire on Mr.
Dakuku.
According to a press release issued by Mr. Dakuku’s office, the
gunmen trailed him from Aba Road as he drove towards his house in
the GRA area of Port Harcourt, but as his car made to turn towards the
GRA entrance to his home, the gunmen drove aggressively hoping to
overtake his car.
Mr. Dakuku then changed course and drove to the state headquarters
of the DSS as his security aide had already radioed for help.
Soon as Dakuku was allowed into the premises of the DSS, officers at
the gate reportedly opened fire on the two SUVs trailing him and
succeeded in demobilizing the care and got some of the occupants
including Mr. Woke arrested.
One of Mr. Dakuku’s security aides was seriously injured as a result of
exchange gunfire during the thirty-minute long encounter.

Politics / Firm Twinkle World Drags Pdp To Court Over Non-payment Of N360 Million by designgurus: 5:41pm On Oct 27, 2015
Further woes continue to assail the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as an event management firm has dragged the party to court, alleging non-payment of N360 million for various services, including the venue branding, venue beautification, and transformation used for the 2015 presidential campaign in 36 states.

In a suit filed before an Abuja High Court on behalf of Twinkle World Nigeria Limited, Falana and Falana Chambers asserts that PDP, along with Senator Ahmadu Ali, Professor Jerry Gana and Senator Nenadi Usman have failed to settle N360 million indebtedness on a contract for the “branding and beautification of presidential campaign venues used for the 2015 presidential rallies in all the 36 states of the federation”.

On its part, the PDP indicates a determined effort to wash its hands off contractual obligations made by the PDP’s 2015 Presidential Campaign Committee.

However, asserting that the defendants “are in the habit of refusing to pay clients for services rendered”, a supporting affidavit from Falana and Flana Chambers noted a N70 million suit by another company, Solon Concepts, over non-payment for services similarly rendered during the PDP’s 2015 presidential campaign.
Noting that the defendants realized about N21 billion during a fundraising event for the 2015 presidential campaigns, it stated that Professor Jerry Gana who was the chairman of the fundraising committee donated N5 billion, as reported by a national newspaper (not The Nation) published on 21st December, 2014.

In a demand letter dated 3rd August, 2015, the law firm had stated that on 7th January, 2015, its client submitted a proposal to the PDP’s Presidential Campaign Committee for the branding and beautification of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s presidential campaign venues in all the 36 states of the federation while the Committee, through Professor Jerry Gana approved the contract at N10 million per state.

The letter addressed to the National chairman of PDP went further:
“Despite all efforts made by our client, your party has failed to pay our client for the services rendered to it during the presidential campaign. In the light of the foregoing, we have our client’s instructions to demand immediate payment for the sum of N360 million only for the branding and beautification of your party’s presidential campaign venues by our client.

“Take notice that if you fail to accede to our client’s demand, we shall not hesitate to file a suit at the High Court for recovery of the said sum”.
In its response dated 1st September, 2015 and signed by its Legal Adviser, Mr. Victor Kwon, the PDP washed its hand off the N360 million contract awarded by its 2015 Presidential Campaign Committee.

“As can be gathered in your client’s letters dated 7th and 30th January, 2015 attached to your letter under reference, your client neither related with the Peoples Democratic Party nor with any of its National Officers who alone have capacity to contractually bind the party.

“The contractual dealing asserted in your letter under reference, assuming but without conceding its existence, is completely unknown to the party. You may therefore wish to direct your demand to the persons who your client claims to have dealt with”.

Nonetheless, Falana and Falana Chambers is asking the court to an order directing the defendants to settle the N360million contractual debt in addition to accruing 10% interest rate per annum until the judgment is executed.
