Investment › Bamboo App Doesn't Update NGX Stock Prices by designking(op): 7:13pm On Sep 17, 2024*. Modified: 7:34pm On Sep 17, 2024 |
I have noticed that the bamboo app doesn't update or refresh Nigeria stock prices on their platform during trading hours.
Sometimes the prices update after the market closes. For today, the app has not updated stock prices and prices might not be updated again today. |

Sunrisepebble: So it is still rumor but with the equity related transaction that concerns FMN and what I’m hearing they’re planning to do at completion of the exercise, it will definitely affect HONEY due to the significant stake. They are doing a consolidation. FMN had a predetermined price of about #70, but with recent share price appreciation and activity I believe that will now be revised upwards, to the displeasure of the people at FMN. With regards a target price for HONEY I am still unaware of the happenings there. Will drop more info as it becomes available What is FMN? |

Abeg should I sell my FirstBank stocks now? I have already made almost 40% on the recent rally. I can't seem to find why FBNH has been rallying and I doubt if the recent price can be sustained.

OakPearl: No doubt about him doing business of scale, but I don’t think it’s the refinery that slowed the other businesses down. He is organized enough to multitask his vision for the group. For cement, I think it will take some time for us to see what Otedola saw and racked up the much he invested that ballooned the price from around N300 to N700+ between last quarter of 2023 and February 2024. Upscaling vision for Sugar and Nascon businesses (Dangfoods) slowed because of the hitches with SEC on the merger approval. That in itself is now only a delay that will soon be done with as I hear there’s enough reason to include rice in the deal. They are dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s. I won’t be surprised if supplies for both stocks begin to wane. I strongly believe there is something about to happen to Dang Sugar and Nascon, hence I have been stocking up both stocks whenever I have spare funds. |

OakPearl: Whenever you hear Dangote Sugar, stop thinking of cubes of sugar. Remember you are talking about a refinery! That is what most people here don't know. Dangote does business of scale and the singular reason the cement, sugar and salt businesses slowed was because Dangote Refinery. |

KarlTom: ₦776 is a massive gain for Nigeria (that's circa ₦341 savings per litre).
Aren't these the same 'marketers' fighting to be allowed to continue importation at ₦1117 per litre?
Yeye dey smell... Things are gradually looking positive for Nigeria and hopefully listed companies on the NGX will benefit from this positive economic outlook. Companies within the Dangote Group will tremendously benefits from this breakthrough. I am buying 1. DANGOTE Cement 2. Dangote Sugar 3. Nascon Sentiment favors these stocks... Market will respond positively to these stocks. |

Raider76: What is the good news for Eterna? The situation is going to be the same. Only instead of some marketers importing on behalf of NNPC it is now Dangote supplying NNPC. People just want to create a sense of rally. If I have Eterna I will rush to damp it on Tuesday. Is there no market on Monday? Is the NGX closed for Monday? |

Tomorrow Sunday will determine if markets will rally. If Dangote really supply the 25million litres tomorrow, many stocks will rally. |

I still sent dollars home last week and the rate never change By next week rates will be low if Dangote refinery is able to deliver the promised daily 25million petrol supply. Sentiment favors stronger naira in the coming week |

tefund: Are you aware Dangote refinery imports the bulk of its crude?NNPC can only meet a fraction of its total need.. Nigerians don't consume more than 30million litres of petrol per day. Dangote is going to supply 25million litres while the balance will be imported. |

What will be the impact of Dangote Refinery petrol supply to Nigerians on the NGX.
Will this event boost investors confidence and drive a more robust activities on the NGX. Will this improve liquidity in the NGX?
Will Dangote Sugar, Dangote Cement, NASCON benefits from a Dangote Refinery? |
Politics › Re: FG, Dangote Reach Agreement On Petrol Supply, Lifting Begins Tomorrow by designking: 8:42am On Sep 14, 2024 |
kolexy: What is not clear? If Dangote should release the actual price to the public, people will come for him. This arrangement allows the government takes care of the difference between the actual cost and the pump price i.e subsidy. Exactly... Dangote actual price cannot be less than ₦1,000. The advantage with local production is that, the subsidy is easier to pay as Dangote will pay tax and FG is also a co-owner of the refinery. Eventually subsidy on petrol will be totally removed as Naira strengthens. With local petrol production, the pressure on the Naira will moderate allowing Naira to exchange around ₦1,000 - ₦1,200 to a dollar in the near future. This implies a 30% reduction in the cost of petrol. The focus should be how local petrol production eventually stabilise the Naira-Dollar exchange rate. |
Politics › Re: FG, Dangote Reach Agreement On Petrol Supply, Lifting Begins Tomorrow by designking: 8:31am On Sep 14, 2024 |
Without a subsidy on petrol, price per litre might go as high as ₦1,100 and this will spell doom for the government and APC. The opposition wants petrol to sell above ₦1,000 and this will be a template for civil unrest.
The best option is to subsidize petrol for now using Naira and also doing crude-petrol swap with Dangote Refinery.
This way, we can reduce the pressure of the Dollar allowing Naira to exchange around ₦1,000 to ₦1,200. Also inflation will gradually reduce.
A stronger naira means cheaper petrol. Within the next 6months the economy will greatly stabilise. |

I'm tired oooo.
https://www.nairaland.com/8212900/dangote-refinery-sell-petrol-only#131992954 This news came later in the evening after announced Dangote-NNPC-FG meeting. NNPC will be the sole offtaker of Dangote petrols for now. Dollar will moderate at N1,200 and the economy will get very stable.in 6months |

Raider76: "These marketers have written to the president that they have lots of old stock that they bought at higher prices they need to import and sell. So, they ask why they are been forced to exclusively buy from Dangote."
And all along we were told that NNPC was the SOLE importer. Kai!! It is crazy how they weave lies. We don't know what to believe anymore. The president has not also shown readiness to tackle the petrol crisis |
