I just sold my Oando, Japaul and Eterna Oil stocks.
They are currently at critical positions and anything can happen. I will enter again when they pullback to a good entry position. |

Staying put after today's ₦20billion dilution of Japaul is a gamble. The best is to get out now and observe what happens this week. |

Raider76: The market read the listing of the N20b worth of new shares as having negative solution effect. I think it is best to sell off Japaul Gold and observe how things goes. The management just capitalized on the current share growth to dump over ₦20billion worth of shares. Japaul is diluted right now and I suspect massive selloff this week. |

mikeapollo: Remember Oando was stagnant for some years before it started to rise. If you can invest and wait for some time like Oando did, then consider International Breweries. It is also experiencing some difficulty and undergoing some restructuring. The turnaround time may come sooner or later. It was selling at N45 few years ago but now selling at around N4. Someody also mentioned Unity Bank which is selling at N1.5 and under technical suspension. Honeywell Flour Mills is another case . Its parent company (Flour Mills) is currently restructuring the company. Once this is completed, synergy and cost efficiency will lead to better performance and higher value. Thanks a million for this heads on. I will buy these listed shares and bear the risk. |

HesInMe: Good stuff. At least you've made a decent attempt at valuation. I've been an Oando shareholder for years so I want the shares to go to the moon, but the wild fantasies here, ehn?
You're assuming that both companies have similar debt levels (they don't) and asset efficiency (debatable). Remember that both the shareholders and the creditors have claims on the assets of a company, so the shares of the company with lower debt are probably more valuable, if you keep assets constant. Maybe redo the calculation with net assets (Assets - Total debt)? He is only drawing our attention to see how unrealistic $1 per share for an Oando share is. Many are placing Oando shares at par with ₦3k+ of Seplat share without knowing that Oando current valuation at ₦75 is not far from the ₦3k+ Seplat valuation. An Oando share at ₦200 has a larger valuation than a Seplat share at ₦3k+. $1 per an Oando share is delusional. |

megawealth01: It's a dividend paying stock with bonus benefits twice I will buy this. I have sold all my Oando and left just 10,000 units for the future. Made about ₦3.6million on it. Better education has taught me today that the fair price of Oando shares is ₦75 - ₦80. If we equate it with Seplat which has great fundamentals, it should be at most ₦172 per share. At ₦172 Oando will have same capitalisation as Seplat... Which is a long call. Oando is not yet ripe for ₦100 and above. Note, this is just be own observation. Oando shares too many... It has 22times what Seplat has. |

Oando has reached the hard levels where only strong fundamentals can pull it through. I will be waiting for the deeps to ride it.
There will certainly be pullbacks and profit taking this coming week and prices may stagnate around ₦60 - ₦85.
There is a court case coming up soon and also their earnings report.
Anything is still possible with Oando. I already have 50,000 units locked down and will be adding more as it hits support levels. |

Every bit of sales made today for Oando was quickly mopped up. The torrent of sales and profit taking couldn't shake Oando price surge.
Oando is a monster stock. Very impressive counter today!
$1 is sure. |

GeeKudi: I believe the profit taking will continue early next week and we may see it at 60+ before it rallies again. Exactly my thoughts. More profit taking will happen by Monday till like Wednesday. It has created a new resistance at ₦76+. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by designking: 11:55am On Aug 30, 2024 |
A slight pull back is expected by Monday or Tuesday before the Oando bull run will resume.
It can't just keep going 10% full bid daily for ever. There is a lot of profit taking right now mostly from investors or traders who need to settle their end of month obligations. |

KarlTom: Dey play... Thank God that I have been able to get 52,000+ Oando shares. Oando dey give me joy. Billionaires do better jobs with due diligence than the masses... If their money is chasing Oando shares, there is a big reason for this.

Pesuzok: I need to change my sell price to #200 from the initial #100. Maybe I won't even sell until I start seeing the result of the agip deal. Maybe Q4 2024 financial report will say a lot. The more education I get about this Oando deals the more I see why the Nigerian politicians, Billionaires and elites are buying every loose shares in Oando. They are shutting out the poor and consolidating their positions. The best option is to sit tight and observe how things go instead of quickly taking profits. |

mikeapollo: If so, then why sell Oand now ? Pressure from Oando haters. I didn't see their antics initially but I know better now. I am even buying another 10,000 units of Oando this morning. Oando has no business being a stock under ₦100. We have evil people in here.... I don't just know why they are against #teamOando, maybe is their innate hate for the president or his family. |

zendi: Oando cannot command the same sentiments in South Africa as in Nigeria because South Africans do not know crude oil as we do. Is there anybody here who cannot point at one billionaire or more from his State who are rumored to have made it through the "lifting of crude oil" ? Nigeria is a petro-dollar nation, SA is not, to my awareness. So many Nigerians who have grown tired of dreaming of laying hand on NNPC Term Contract to market crude oil, let alone grabbing an oil block, are seizing opportunity to snap up the shares of Oando while it's still affordable. The South Africans, meanwhile, are probably disecting Oando through Ewumi-style forensic analysis and, seeing no dividends in the near term, are valueing it accordingly.
When Oando shall start dishing dividends, it may be highly profitable for dividend hunters to to go and load it that place because I believe the payouts will be the same in currency equivalence giving that the buy out proposal for the attempted Delisting was the same 7.07 or equivalent. Oando is a great long term stock. No matter what the sentiment or fundamentals say, Oando fair price is around ₦150 - ₦200. That is the price it will settle. The stock has no business staying below ₦100. |
