adexcool009:1.No, it's not mandatory. One reference letter will suffice since it's at least 3 years. 2.Yeah, you can, just put it under personal history, you wont be asked to provide the letter. 3.Don't believe this will work, according to IRCC, funds needs to be unencumbered(Please seek a second opinion on this). Seeing as you're expected to show a six months balance/average statement, I'm not sure how this will work. Additionally and probably most importantly, your termination letter is not a legal financial document. My advice, ensure the severance package/fund is unencumbered and then back it up with the termination letter. Thus, even if your statement of account shows low funds and then a major spike after you receive the severance package, a simple explanation is all that would be needed. |
ThreeGEEKS:"I don't know what to advice him"....well, tell him to read this thread. That aside, I suspect the 5 month certification course won't make a difference unless it's a certification of qualification(skilled trade occupations) which will push his score to 443+3 depending on his IELTS score which is currently 393+3. If he believes he can get an LMIA backed job offer during that 5 months period, well then.....that would be huge. Chances of that happening, is slim at best. Here or there, he'd most probably have to go through the PNP route. I don't know much about PNP but for ontario, you need a minimum score of 400 to be invited(they are not inviting anyone at the moment and I'm not sure if they will keep the same requirements when they resume, late on this year, I believe.). As for Manitoba, you'd need some to invite you. Don't know about Saks or Alberta but I believe they'd probably have certain requirements like "in demand jobs" and or a job offer as in the case of Saks. If he goes for a year program instead, he'll get around 426-5(age) for another degree and a year work permit. A master's or two year program won't make much of difference with the exception of giving him three years work permit. Simply put, two practical choices. Try the PNP or longer education route. Disclaimer: I've most probably missed out on a genius plan that could work out for him, so do your own research on seek other people's opinion. |
iphie25:No Idea on the GCKEY thing. I've been following your process. I cheered and admired your tenacity with the IQAS-WES episode. In my opinion, you should let the ITA go. Will you get another ITA?, YES!. Soon?, I don't know. My main concern, like someone highlighted earlier has to do with misrepresentation. In my opinion, dates are quite important in the process and the disparity between the initial claim made, ITA and your new ECA can be easily spotted and might not be easily explained away by an LOE. Does the benefit of a potential PR outweigh the risk of misrepresentation?, In your case, I'd say NO!. First tenacity, now you must show patience...lol, I sound like a Kung Fu Master. My advice comes with a caveat though, my knowledge is limited to research and other people's experience. Best of luck |
muyiwaojo1:Not sure if CRS score has anything to do with PNP qualification. I believe each province have their own requirements, you should research them. There's no limit to the number of province you can apply to while in the pool, as you can only accept nomination from one anyway if multiple provinces nominate you. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that a particular province frowns on applicants who do multiple applications (Please, I can't confirm the veracity of that sentence and don't remember the context in which I read it. It could have been someone asking if it would impact on their application). I believe Manitoba has that requirement, the person must be a PR or Citizen though and resident in Manitoba. If your Cousin is resident in Manitoba, I believe that's possible . I must apologise if it comes across as if I have posed more questions than answers. Hopefully, they'll aid your process. Just do more research and you should have better clarity. |
Amazing01:Definitely not a guru but yeah, your degree and occupation doesn't have to tally. What matters is if your NOC falls under 0,A and B, I believe. Job title doesn't have that much of an impact either. Finding a NOC with corresponding job descriptions(say around 70%) that match what you do is all that counts. |
cynthiaezebaby:I'm assuming the transcript given to you is in a sealed envelope, preferably with the school's seal/stamp on the envelope. If not, you'd have to get the school to send a sealed one to you or WES CANADA which handles credential evaluation. A photocopy of your certificate with the transcript needs to be couriered to WES with a reference number inscribed on the envelope. You know what just google WES canada, it's pretty straightforward. I believe it cost around 322 CAD though if you want the assessed report couriered back to you, which I highly recommend. |
specrealq:I don't think anyone has a concrete idea if a sub 470 score will get you an ITA this year. I suspect it will happen though, maybe around September. Please note that I'm only speculating. Truth be told, 467 is a very good score and patience is all I can recommend. |
TeesMom:I'm not sure what you mean by difficult. You'll still need to do a medical and get a PCC for him. Also, you'd have to show proof of fund for a family of 4 even IF he's not accompanying. If his guild certificate and IELTS score won't affect your score(which I doubt), I suggest you include him as "accompanying" because spousal appliaction takes about a year to process, post PR from what I've heard. |
